Our location is phenomenal we are an hour from Knoxville and Asheville and just about 1/4 mile off I-40. Right at the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and 35 minutes from Gatlinburg about 40 minutes to Pigeon Forge (Dollywood), also about 45 minutes to Sevierville and one of my favorite Tanger Outlets!! The beautiful Smoky Mountains the National Park is filled with hiking trails and horse stables and trails. Some of the best white water rafting is less then 5 miles up the road along with zip lining and a lil taste of moonshine here and there. This property is primitive with no electric and has a camping style bathhouse. IT’s recommended for outdoor lovers and people that are not too needy. Hurricane Helene brought unforecasted changes in the land but the tranquility of the River remains. We have worked to restore as much as we could. As for us it’s still our happy place in the Smoky Mountains!

Each treehouse was built by hand by hosts (husband/wife team) Anthony and Brenna. A long history of camping and working in the outdoor recreation industry inspired a design to intentionally interact with nature. By utilizing rain collection, solar power generation, composting toiletries, outdoor cooking, each treehouse is completely off-grid. Rest from your adventures on the comfy, queen and full-sized beds. A spacious queen bottom bunk and lofted double mattress can accommodate four adult campers. All bed linens and pillows are provided. The treehouses offer private, indoor bathing and toilet facilities. Every treehouse is equipped with a propane-heated, rain-collection shower and maintenance-free, vented composting toilet. All bath towels/washcloths, plus shampoo/wash are provided in each treehouse bathroom. You can dine al fresco in the trees! The kitchenette boasts wide concrete countertop table dining with four stools, two-burner propane cooktop, potable water and drain sink, and separate propane grill. Provided cookware includes pots, pans, cooking/grill tools and utensils, cutting board and knife. There are complete place settings for 4 glampers, plus coffee percolator and mugs (bring ground coffee.) There is no refrigerator, bring your own cooler and ice. When you go to sleep, there's no light except the moon and stars, no refrigerator or central heating or air conditioning noise -- only the sounds of nature -- the stream, crickets or frogs in the nearby pond, dogs or coyotes in the distance. Without the glow of a nearby city, the hot tub on a clear night, the skies are dazzling. Speaking of which, the wood-fired hot tub is made by a company called Snorkel. It's perfect for 2 and can fit 3, although tight. It's Japanese style hot tub bathing, meaning no chemicals. Also, since we're not grid tied, it relies on a firebox heating fresh spring water, which you fill it with. It takes approx. 35 minutes to fill the tub and between 3 and 3.5 hours to heat (longer when it's really cold!). There's a thermometer in it, so as it gets closer to your liking (don't let it get over 102 degrees), let the existing logs burn down, choke off the air vent sleeve and hop in. With no pump sounds and the stars above, it's incomparable. The $50 fee (per 2 night rentals) covers thorough cleaning between guests and split firewood. You will be very comfortable in Little Good Egg, even in extreme weather, simply by paying attention and taking more time for simple tasks. It sounds corny, but there is a meditative quality to thinking and doing things like heating water, keeping warm, staying hydrated, eating well and choosing to do what you really want. I'm always amazed how busy I am -- and how different this kind of busy feels -- without electronics and my technological "time savers." Odd as it sounds to say this, it's stunning and wonderful to go "offline," even for just a day, and not get hit by little chirps and incoming messages that seem to arrive now 24/7. On a recent trip, we were blown away by this place. The mountain views were absolutely extraordinary, the bathrooms were impeccably clean, and the kitchen and gathering areas were fully stocked with everything we needed. The cabin had a comfortable bed and seating area. The attention to detail truly made the experience feel special. 10/10 recommend!

The cabin was a great location for anyone wanting to stay away from busy Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. With small children we love to tent camp, but traveling a long ways doesn’t always work for a tent- the cabin was perfect for us! We loved the cozy space and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful! We loved exploring the campground and enjoying the views.

We loved camping at this site! The facilities were very clean and well maintained. The host was very nice and welcoming. The bed and tent were comfortable as well. We particularly enjoyed laying in the hammock and enjoying the peace and quiet. Would recommend!

Wildflowers are the best decorative flair.

Such a wonderful place to stay while enjoying a small slice of the AT. The kitchen has everything one needs to prep meals and two fridge/freezers. The bath house was much appreciated. Everyone we met was so friendly. It was lovely to wake up to see the trees and mountains. Loved the trails on the property, especially the lookout point. If I’m ever back in this area, this is where I’ll stay.

We stayed in the popup camper. It was perfect and the beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed to have a great camping experience. The property was nice and we spoke with the owner who checked on us. He gave us great advise on hiking nearby. We would definitely stay here again!!

The creekside glamping site was absolutely incredible in all ways: clean amenities, scenic views, a super comfy bed, and kind hosts. I loved how much wildlife I saw from a distance around the campsite, including a barn owl one night! I appreciated that the hosts put a heated blanket on the bed for my stay as well, it made a huge difference in my comfort during the chilly nights/early mornings.

My family and I had such a wonderful time! They take very good care of their property and are super friendly! The caretaker takes such excellent care of the facility by far one of the cleanest camping bathrooms and showers ever! Slept comfortably! Can't wait for next time!

This campground was beyond our expectations! Our cabin was the perfect spot to land for our small family of 3. Very comfortable inside with all the right amenities available. The grounds were immaculate and had the most peaceful creek running through it. Coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all available at the main building, which was a huge perk after traveling all day and exploring GSMNP. 10/10 would recommend to anyone, but especially those traveling with families.

My family had a wonderful time staying at the A-Frame cabin. The layout was great for our family if 5, with a full bedroom plus an upstairs with 2 full mattresses. The living room couch converted to a pull out couch which was nice too. The kitchen was fully functional with stove top, microwave, fridge and dishwasher and the grill outside was great. The views from the deck are amazing and even when we had a bit of rain, we could still enjoy the views from inside with the big picture windows. The steep drive up to the cabin is worth it for the views and amenities. We would definitely recommend staying here and should we venture back to the smokies, this will be on our list of places to stay again.

Tim's place is perfect for enjoying a quieter Smoky Mountains experience--away from the hullabaloo of Gatlinburg. The RVs provide all the creature comforts like climate control, bathroom, kitchen and linens with all of the loveliness of camping--grilling out, eating outdoors and a campfire ring for evening s'mores. At night it's so quiet and during the day you're just steps away from a cute coffee/bookshop. I really hope we have the opportunity to return!

The dome was amazing. Our small family had a blast. The dome is super cozy and has everything that you need for a great stay. GPS stops you short of the property so keep going up until you see the domes. The hot tub and fire pit were great to have. We had an amazing stay.

We loved camping there! The view was beautiful and the owner was awesome. He found us some supplies we forgot at home. The pop up camper was a bit small for us, but next time we will rent the cabin or bring our own tent. The lots seemed to be a nice size and the shower house was very clean. Thank you!
