We are located about 11 miles from exit 116 on interstate 40 in the beautiful farming community of Chesterfield, Tennessee where there's an abundance of wildlife including our own team of Khaki Campbell guard ducks and a piebald whitetail buck named Lucky who enjoys hanging out by the levee. Lake access is included with each site reservation. Life jackets required at all times for those with paddle please. Canoe rentals available upon request.
Camp sites 1-3, the boat ramp and main parking area are located at the main entrance and offer gravel roads and parking. Look for the LAL logo on the left gate post.
Camp site #4 the hiking trailhead and our back country campsites are located at the east entrance. Look for patriotic fence post near the road. If you end up traveling a long paved road that leads to a boat ramp with lots of parking, you zigged when you should have zagged. Turn around and lazy acres is across from where that road ends. Follow the access road along the tree line down to the water. The hiking trail is to the east across the footbridge. Look for white AT style blazes for trail markers. The blue blazes leading to each campsite.

The camp is in a very nice pecan grove down a side street of the small town of Brownsville. Bob and his wife met us, showed us where to park, and brought us hot, homemade cookies. We had a very nice walk around the grove with the dogs and got a good night's sleep. This is just a few minutes off I-40 and a perfect place when you are driving across the country, as we were.

We popped in late for an overnight stay. Greeted by Bob, a super friendly host, with yummy homemade cookies in hand (thanks to his wife). Some nearby road sounds carried at night with tent camping, likely would not be heard in an RV.
Driving out the next morning we got a glimpse of the nearby town and it looked super cute with quaint shops, nice vibes, worth checking out.

Sevylla was a great host and her property was perfect for my solo weekend trip to Tennessee. Sevylla met me on arrival, showed me around the property and was extremely nice and helpful. Had a great time and beautiful weather. Caught several large catfish, bluegill and bass! Hosts were kind and happy to help in any way possible, would love to come back!

Lane and Dan's property is a beautiful place for a respite from your routine. Lane and Dan are great hosts and will make you feel at home. They have provided a sparkling clean pool and unique bathhouse (that even has a washing machine) and full hookups at the two shaded gravel RV sites.
Away from cable TV and WiFi, nature takes the stage at The Getaway. From your campsite you can watch the fish jumping in the pond, deer strolling across the grounds and thousands of butterflies fluttering about. At night, the dark is broken only by the moon and billions of stars above.
The only downside was that the brutal heatwave during our stay limited our outdoor activity. We will visit again.

Everything was amazing! Even in the hot weather in July when me and my girlfriend went was a GREAT experience. The owner is so welcoming and his farm of Alpacas is crazy! The baby “Luka” is the cutest ♥️ And OPPIE his dog is the most beautiful dog ive ever seen! 🐕 Theres tons of spots on his property to camp + he even gave us some of his own bee wax to help keep the fire lit + plenty of wood for only an extra 5 bucks! We only drove out about an hour to get there and it was totally worth it, 10/10, affordable, must go.

I had a great overnight stay on Myles’s land. The campsite was peaceful and secluded—perfect for tent camping. One of the perks was the view of the alpacas. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend!

Wife and I needed a few days of complete downtime and we found that here at Lane and Dan’s little slice of heaven. The hosts were amazing from the start of the reservation till the minute we headed back to reality. The bathroom/showerhouse is an amazing addition to this beautiful property. The views are spectacular, the lake has some great fish, the pool was refreshing and we’ve already booked our next trip to Lane and Dan’s property. If you don’t book here you will never know what you are missing out on.

The alpaca farm was so incredible, I cannot say enough nice things about it. The bathroom was accessible, the animals were adorable, we had a great spot in the shade, the stars were gorgeous, and Myles was so nice!!

Bob and his wife were absolutely lovely, it was a wonderful place to spend the night. Their dogs were great, and they were so hospitable greeting us with cookies and sent us off with the most lovely lattes. 1000\10 would stay again!
