The water is crystal clear and safe to play in if you have little ones. Walk along the stream and discover all kinds of fish, turtles, beautiful river stones and possibly see a beaver or 2. If you have Archery equipment, you can use our Archery Range. The property is split by a 2 lane road. 7 acres to the North and 33 acres to the South. The smaller side is flat with many trails, fresh water stream and a gravel road. It features relatively junior trees and is home to a family of Whitetail Deer. The Southern side of the property features a mature hardwood forest full of giant white oak trees. Be sure to put on your hiking boots though, because there's a few Hills to climb. Three hills that form a beautiful valley in the center, with another fresh waterstream. The valley was once home to a 1700s settlement, so you may find some artifacts. (We just ask that you leave them where you find them.) Main trails are marked clearly with large reflectors for safety. With the near-by wildlife refuge you are sure to see and hear a variety of wildlife. We have large steel firepits in every campsite. So feel free to bring your own firewood! Enjoy a good book or nap while relaxing in a hammock. Swing with a loved one while over looking the fresh water stream. Walk down along the stream and collect rocks, feed the fish, or go for a dip! Currently our property is very Primative, whichever there is no electricity or plumbing. 1 night at Wooded Farmland

We've stayed here several times, and love it - is a sprawling, ramshackle farm that is a great place to spend the night camping with our trailer with our dogs. There's one or two campsites with electric and water hookups (that you may or may not be able to find) The land is somewhat unimproved with lots of mud and ruts and junk and holes (be careful). There are cars and campers strewn about. The pigs are very friendly 😁 We saw a family of bobcats crossing Eatons Creek road out front. It's SO close to downtown and the development is encroaching closer and closer - we hope it will stay wild and undeveloped forever.

We enjoyed our time at this campsite very much, sitting by the fire and hiking the trails right outside our tent doors! Jon was an awesome host, informative as well as kind. The lanterns and bug repellent candles were much appreciated as well. The animals were an awesome added bonus!!

Weekend Trip to Hidden Timbers Homestead

By the time we arrived, it was already dark. The host came to meet us and guided us to our site. Once we were set up, she checked to see if we needed anything further. The bathrooms and shower were very clean. We departed early in the morning. My only regret is not being able to see it in the light of day. We hope to go back and spend more time in the area. We will definitely stay with them again!

Weekend Trip to Brand'n Iron Hills

Absolutely beautiful property and perfectly peaceful. The sites were very spacious. The ground is pretty much all creek bed and rock so wear sturdy shoes and plan to bring your own toilet solution. There’s a camp toilet sitting over a pit but it’s not what most are used to or prefer. 10/10 would recommend and will be booking several more times.

What a great spot! The site and surrounding community are beautiful and peaceful. We spent several days here and worked remotely. The wi-fi was fast and reliable making this a great space for teleworkers looking for a dose of nature to break up the workday. We enjoyed long walks on the surrounding dirt roads and quiet nights around the camp fire. This place was everything we could have asked for!

Had a great time tent camping at the ranch :-) The hosts were super helpful and friendly and we loved meeting all the animals. Two of the dogs decided to be our sidekicks as we took a scenic path to the creek and packed down our camp. Very special weekend!

We had a GREAT stay!! Jon-Roy was very responsive and helpful. It was cool to see the cows!! And the tent was exactly as described and even had a heater which we never used because the tent held enough heat (even though it was a little chilly outside). The amenities were great and he really thought of everything. We got a great night sleep and will definitely be back. The little walk to the site wasn’t bad at all. Definitely glad we got there in the daytime otherwise it would have been tough to get to it. We loved our quiet little escape and will be back!

I've been using Hip Camp for two years, and this was by far the most beautiful place I've stayed. I was met by the hosts who helped me back in and make sure everything was ready for me. Perfect level pad with full hook-ups. Only 2 sites, and I was the only one there. Very peaceful with a really pretty forest with trails behind my site. I highly recommend this location. I hope to come back someday!

The spot was more than perfect. Enjoyed the crisp fall sunrises and sunsets with the light dancing through the trees. The place was extremely beautiful with the tall bluffs the crystal clean water. Loved listening to the wind blow through the leaves and the crickets singing. Hope I get to come back to TN. Thank you for sharing your special place.
