For indoor washing, a five-gallon glass pitcher with a bowl serves as a rustic sink.
Sleeping is in the loft, up a steep staircase ladder, with a queen bed and lush linens. While not ADA-accessible and not suited for those needing special assistance, the setup is perfect for adventurous, able-bodied guests seeking a unique stay.
There are two other homes on the property, both occupied, but everyone respects each other’s privacy. No one will come to the treehouse during your stay. The owners live onsite in the main house and are available if you need anything, but will otherwise give you complete space.
The path to the treehouse is lit at night, but it can get very dark on the road—so bring a flashlight just in case.

Our host Ashley was wonderful. The cabin/bunkhouse felt new and was exactly as described. It has a great atmosphere with a wood burning stove, kerosene lamps, a big front porch with rocking chairs, a fire pit, and a grill. There’s no power but we did have cell service on our phones.
We got to meet all the beautiful horses; they were friendly and happy to be loved on, which made for a really special experience. We had a trail ride scheduled, but it git rained out.
Overall we had a great time and plan to go back in the fall.

Kahu Farm was delightful, and Lora and her husband were very thoughtful and accommodating hosts. The tent was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed spending time on the farm with our hosts along with their goats, chickens, parrot, and dogs. We were also able to borrow their kayaks and time for a drop-in and pick-up morning on the river! Lora’s all natural bug spray and soaps were an added luxury too. We definitely hope to come back and stay again soon.

My favorite part was listening to bigfoot recordings from 1975 on the provided cassette tapes while sitting around the fire. We had a great experience camping on Lora's land. She welcomed us in with her husband and showed us around the property. I paid for some of her home made bug spray which worked extremely well and is all natural. The property was private, quiet, and clean. They had a bathroom and water, an outdoor kitchen, fresh eggs, fresh goat milk, well behaved animals, beautiful award winning goats. She made us a cup of coffee in the morning, provided firewood, amazing spring water. The tent was clean and warm, she provided us with blankets and basic essentials. Beautiful outdoor shower. She allowed me to take some photos on her property. Great time.
