The treehouses are quiet, secluded, and actually border GSMNP property and Cherokee National Forest land; the Appalachian Trail at Davenport Gap is ¾ mile away. Nearby GSMNP entrances: Big Creek is 2.5 mi, Cosby at 8 miles. Only 3 to the Pigeon River whitewater section, and accessible to hundreds of miles of mountain biking and hiking roads/trails.
Each treehouse was built by hand by hosts (husband/wife team) Anthony and Brenna. A long history of camping and working in the outdoor recreation industry inspired a design to intentionally interact with nature. By utilizing rain collection, solar power generation, composting toiletries, outdoor cooking, each treehouse is completely off-grid.
Rest from your adventures on the comfy, queen and full-sized beds. A spacious queen bottom bunk and lofted double mattress can accommodate four adult campers. All bed linens and pillows are provided.
The treehouses offer private, indoor bathing and toilet facilities. Every treehouse is equipped with a propane-heated, rain-collection shower and maintenance-free, vented composting toilet. All bath towels/washcloths, plus shampoo/wash are provided in each treehouse bathroom.
You can dine al fresco in the trees! The kitchenette boasts wide concrete countertop table dining with four stools, two-burner propane cooktop, potable water and drain sink, and separate propane grill. Provided cookware includes pots, pans, cooking/grill tools and utensils, cutting board and knife. Gr8 restaurants, thrifting and cute shops along the river.
Our property is about an hour away from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the adorable city of Asheville - which makes for a fantastic day trip with delicious restaurants, breweries, cool shops, and more! The Great Smokey Mountains and Deep Creek are about 1.5 hours away from the campsite. The Appalachian Trail is closeby and there are countless opportunities for stunning hikes. There's also kayaking, tubing, white water rafting opportunities as well as zip lining and horseback riding. There is something for everyone to enjoy and we can't wait to share it with you!

We have a camera pointed at the entrance and one at the bath house door, which we can move around to make sure that when people check in they make it to the right spot since I manage remotely part of the year. We have regular yard maintenance, however, we are Country natural landscape, not parking lot type campground, so the grass is slightly higher in some small areas but truly those things are part of a sustainable and uniquely beautiful camping experience!

Our little homestead is run by a mother daughter team. We raise sheep, chickens and grow a large garden and several fruit and nut orchards. We are also in process of building structures using mostly natural materials. You are welcome to hike into our woods to find a private spot near the waterfall or higher up the mountain. Also feel free to stroll through our pastures spotted with peaches and hazelnuts and watch the sheep graze. Note: RVs and large trailers cannot be driven onto our property due to the curvature and narrowness of our driveway.

We are making this a working farm and we want to share our story and this beautiful land with people that enjoy the outdoors, we offer primitive camping sites to reduce our impact on the land. We have sites with renewable energy and beautiful views. We invite campers to enjoy their quiet time or participate in the daily activities of the farm, sample some of our products or share a meal. Enjoy a beautiful, bold creek and a magnificent waterfall just a 5-minute walk from your campsite (simply follow the creek upstream). Our well-spaced, private creekside sites are perfect for those seeking tranquility, with the soothing sound of rushing water as your constant companion.
**Location**
- 13 minutes to downtown Marshall
- 10 minutes to Ingles (grocery & gas)
- 40 minutes to downtown Asheville
*Arrival & Check-in:*
- Arrive at least 2 hours before dusk—there are no night lights on the property
- No onsite check-in
- Enter from Lower Paw Paw Road, follow the driveway past the barns and shipping container, cross the bridge, continue straight, curve right at the swing bench, and look for parking/unloading signs near Beaver Beach
*Quiet Hours:* 9 PM - 9 AM
*Fire Guidelines*
- Bring your own firewood
- Fires ONLY in designated fire pits
- Leave fire pits as clean (or cleaner) than you found them
- No burning of trash. (don't burn trash in Fire Pit)
- Observe Fire Bans if in effect.
*Waste & Sanitation:*
- Pack out all trash
- Bring camp toilet supplies for bathroom needs
- **Do NOT dig holes or bury waste** (human or pet)
- If bringing dogs, you must pick up and pack out all dog waste

It was a very enjoyable experience in this rustic cabin. I was traveling with my dog and we had plenty of space for the both of us. At night you could hear the local creek and in the morning I hiked around the property. There was snow the first night but we were able to get wood for the stove and were very comfortable. Would recommend and will stay again when passing through.

Rocio was a great host. We had fun hiking and a special treat was enjoying some farm fresh eggs, that Rocio gave us for breakfast! It was a nice and relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend and come back in the future.

I loved how the site was by the small creek! It’s very rustic but you can use the bathroom inside the main house. There are trails on the property to hike so that’s a plus. A very peaceful stay !

This is a great little exclusive place, had full hook ups and a great mountain view. Had 50amp and 30amp service. We pulled our 26' travel trailer up there no problems. It's about 4 miles off of i40. We used it to stay over night while making it back up north.

Sunset Ridge near Del Rio, TN is a true hidden gem perched high on a ridge with sweeping 50-mile western views of untouched American wilderness. From towering 6,000+ ft Smoky Mountain peaks to dense pine forests, deer, bears, and classic backwoods charm, this spot delivers the authentic mountain experience. Like many Hipcamp sites, you’ll drive through a few “interesting” areas to get there, but it’s absolutely worth the short detour off I-40. Hurricane Helen repair work continues in the region, so expect minor delays—but nothing that should deter your stay.
The site itself is well laid out with a reliable 50-AMP hookup (30-AMP rigs should bring an adapter), two properly placed sewer connections for easy access, and a well-pump water source offering around 15–20 psi. We found that perfectly adequate for daily use, or you can fill your onboard tank and enjoy a stronger 40–50 psi via your RV’s pump.
A cozy two-person swing overlooks the valley and is perfect for sunrise coffee or sunset photos. The spacious gravel circular driveway provides plenty of room for multiple vehicles and offers simple, level parking. Nights were peacefully quiet, with only the sounds of the woods around you. The paved road network above and around the property makes for great short hikes and even better sunset views. A firepit, available WiFi, and open sky complete the experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking solitude, scenery, and Smoky Mountain magic. We will definitely be back soon.

Our stay at John's place at Sunset ridge was wonderful. Very private and quiet with a beautiful view of the mountains and, yes, sunsets. Easy in and out with room for two campers if you want to have a friend join. We highly recommend this site. When I asked for local suggestions they shared a great list. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer.

The view is beautiful as everybody else said. There's also plenty of space and he was nice enough to leave behind a decent pack of logs for the campfire. There are a few things that some people might consider downsides that I didn't see listed in the reviews. Though it isn't busy, the campsite is pretty close to the road. Maybe 30ft or so. While I was there, one of the neighbors happened to be doing some construction well into the night and two neighbors have pretty persistent outside dogs. The owner (I'm guessing) showed up during one of the days to do some construction on a cabin he's building a little bit further down the hill (great spot for a cabin). Though he left around sundown. Again, beautiful site and I'm greatful to have spent the weekend there, just wanted to share some details.

We had a wonderful time staying at John's campsite and thoroughly enjoyed the absolutely incredible views!!
We have a 45ft Class A Motorhome pulling a 25ft flatbed trailer carrying our full-size Titan truck and had plenty of room.
We were a little concerned upon reading some people's reviews about the drive to the campsite so we unhooked the trailer from the rv prior to driving up the mountain and pulled the trailer with the truck to which we had no problems at all getting to the campsite.
The campsite has 50 amp hookup, water, sewer and excellent wifi. Did I mention the impeccable views 😀
We surely hope to stay here again the next time we travel to this area.

Absolutely stunning views. Mostly very quiet with some quaint country sounds like an occasional donkey or hound dog. Dead end road so almost no traffic. We had our 13 foot camper pulled by a mid sized truck so it took some maneuvering to get into place.
The " exit" drive has deep ruts so its better to go in and out from the " entrance" drive.

The campsite was great. Well maintained and very peaceful. A vehicle with decent ground clearance is needed to make it up the drive but our Jeep had no problem. The entrance had a gate with lock so we felt very secure.

Such a cool property! One where you almost don't want to leave a tremendous review so it stays a hidden gem! But I wouldn't do that to Shawn - he was a very communicative host and very kind.
-We stayed at Beaver Beach, and it was perfectly tucked in the corner with the creek along one whole side - our vehicle was parked 20-30' away, ground was solid with minimal roots/rocks.
-You are able to see the other campsite (awakenings), but probably 150-200yds away with trees and a field between. And the trailhead to the waterfall is near Beaver Beach, so expect a few friendly folks to walk by.
-The waterfall belongs in a national park; it's that cool. Being the only ones exploring it was surreal.

The views are priceless. Very happy with our stay. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. We went to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, the drive was absolutely beautiful. A great place to be away from all the hustle and bustle after being in those cities.
