FREE FIREWOOD FOR LIMITED TIME: I have more split oak firewood than I know what to do with. While it lasts, campers can take as much as they need for free. The wood is piled at the site. Our homestead is home to our family, chickens, and a livestock guardian dog. We also have a small orchard and a garden. Most of our 12+ acres are wooded and our property backs up to thousands of acres of public forest land owned by Clemson University. A trail connects our backyard to the main network of hiking/mountain biking trails in Clemson Forest. For those familiar with the forest, our property is in the vicinity of Wildcat Technical, Wounded Road, and Chainbreaker trails. As private and wooded as our property is, we are only 10-15 minutes from downtown Clemson and less than 10 minutes from the small towns of Central and Six Mile. Lakes Hartwell and Keowee are also short drives. We currently offer a single campsite, which can accommodate several tents or a camper van. Our campsite features a composting toilet outhouse, and water is available from spigots at our house. Although there are four campsites available, our family occupied two and the rest remained unoccupied, making it very peaceful indeed! Adam and Melissa are very gracious hosts, making our stay even more pleasant. As a bonus, they gifted us with two dozen farm fresh eggs from their chickens! We would highly recommend this site as a great getaway!

It’s hard to understate how idyllic this site is. The host has made a very accommodating space that really makes you feel like you’re lucky to have found it. The view is perfect, as was everything else. A note about the driveway in. As everyone else has stated in the reviews, 4x4 is not optional, especially if you’re pulling a trailer. There’s two switchbacks that if you’re not careful you could get in a sticky situation. I drive a f350 with a crew cab and 8ft bed and haul a 15ft trailer (21ft actual with tongue) I don’t know how anything any longer would make it so heed the warnings.

Nice area with beautiful surroundings. Note that the power and water are quite a way from the flat parking area and you will need a longer power cord. Hosts were personable and accommodating.

This campsite is amazing! The views, the privacy, the hot tub were perfect! The driveway up to it is a little intimidating but my husband made it fine with a 1500 truck and our 17’ R Pod. Just like the listing says, 4wd is a must, but so worth it when you make it to the top! Such a nice place that Lee is sharing with others!

Still spectacular. I want to add a few more notes. We've been in a hundred hot tubs and this is the best model so far. This past trip temps were in the teens and the heat kept up impeccably. The best part is that it heats silently. This is important if you prefer listening to nature rather than the hum of a hot tub pump. Also very clean and well maintained. You can park your trailer parallel to and close to the firepit setup and hot tub and get level using 6" ramps under each tire on the low side. But we found we prefer to be parallel to the woods as shown in these pictures. It provides a more panoramic 280° view from the hot tub. Setting up this way requires 6" ramps under each tire and the tongue dropped almost to the ground. It was worth it to us.

Slightly dig in uphill tires and put downhill tires on 2 high ramps to get level

...WOW. This was absolutely perfect for us, but may have TOO MUCH privacy for some folks. You are truly alone here. Incredible hardwood property. Beautiful hikes, fishing, and drives in the area. We made it up - no problem - with a 21' camper (25' true length) and a crew cab 2500, but this is about max length (2-3 steep, narrow gravel switchbacks -- 4x4 mandatory). Bring extra leveling blocks and 30' of sewer hose. For the right people with the right rig, this spot simply can't be beat. Thank you for sharing!

My family had another AMAZING time camping at Coweeta Creek. It was cold but it was nice to have clean bathrooms with hot showers. We enjoyed the peaceful sounds of the creek while getting cozy next to the camp fire. We went to Winter Wonderland in downtown Franklin. We saw some pretty lights and enjoyed some warm cider while shopping in the local stores. This is still one of my Favorite places to camp!
