Close to Columbia ( 30 minutes ) for a nice trip to the zoo or a float down the Saluda River with Adventure Carolina. A perfect mix of nice and quite but still close to town. Also just in Synchronous fireflies, which are fireflies that gather and flash their lights at the same time as part of a mating ritual, are expected to light up the Congaree National Park in May. It is a train lover's dream because we are close to the tracks and enjoy watching the train come and go so much so that the conductor toots and waves to us!! The Santee State Park has many water activities, picnic areas, and hiking trails. There are several golf courses nearby, and a local restaurant/bar within walking distance which often offers trivia, karaoke, pool tables, and live music. Just be careful as you will be walking on the side of a main road as well as over train tracks.

I was the only one there camping in a tent. I felt very comfortable and safe and it was nice to have an outlet to charge my laptop. I had an amazing stay while I was there. The staff was so nice and helpful.. The farm was in beautiful condition. The animals looked happy and I loved waking up to the roosters Crow in the morning. The hiking trails were a pleasant surprise to have. They’re very well maintained. The bathroom was clean and very pretty. I got the bottle feed the baby goats in the morning and that was so much fun. They were so cute. There is a Dollar General right down the road if you need anything. I will be back I highly recommend..

Safe spot for a stop over while traveling, close to 95. The Oasis bar is an experience of it's own! We stayed near the house and got a quiet night's sleep. There is a nice private spot out backwould definitely stay there next time.

Hanscomb point plantation gave us all we could handle and then some. Beautiful sites, perfect tree coverage due to our weather situation, Interesting pathways to travel due to that weather, but all in all a fantastic experience for our Troop to rest and grow as campers while staying in the area for the weekend. Thank you for the opportunity to stay on your land, some of those water hazards worried me for a bit when traveling out, but we managed like true scouts and blazed new pathways forward along the way. Would recommend your camping area to any asking.

We camped our way from the Everglades to northern Michigan and this was by far my favorite hip camp. An old farm house under a giant magnolia, surrounded by oak trees. It was like something out of a country song. I will be back to South Carolina and I have so much comfort knowing I have a good safe place to rest my head.
