Loved how close this place was to literally everything! This spot is close to the plantations, 25 minutes to City Market, and 30 to Folly Beach. We camped here over Thanksgiving weekend and had dinner with family in Summerville. Thanks to this spot’s prime location, we were able to turn the weekend into a mini vacation!! The spot was clean and level. All amenities worked well. The fire pit, chairs, and table are all clean, sturdy, and cozy. Neighbors were all quiet and respectful. We saw ducks, geese, squirrels, and an adorable raccoon. Of note: This is in a residential neighborhood. It would be tight for someone with a larger RV/there are some low hanging trees depending on the direction you come/go. There is also some road noise/nighttime outdoor lights. These things are obviously to be expected and are not negatives - just mentioning for awareness of future campers.

I would recommend this campground whole heartedly! To be honest, I wasn't expecting other campers here because of how it was listed on the website but I was very pleased with it. The campground was very clean and well-kept. The campsite was the levelest we've stayed at, and we've camped a lot. There's a central commons area for gathering and so many outdoor games accessible for everyone. It's close to Santee State Park if you want to hike longer trails though there is a short one on the property. We also appreciated the doggy poop stations - non-existent in most places we've stayed at. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Would we stay there again? ... Most definitely without hesitation!

This was the perfect place to stop on our trip. Our children absolutely loved your property — especially the swing with the lights and the axe-throwing area, which was a huge hit! We also really appreciated your generosity in letting us use your bathroom and kitchen — that meant a lot after a long day on the road. It was such a pleasure meeting you and getting to chat for a bit.

We really enjoyed our experience with Kristen. The space was easy to back into, peaceful, and enjoyable. We were there for a wedding so we didn’t get to take advantage of any of their offerings but we loved that they had them. Will definitely stay again!!

Weekend Trip to Shire Hill Grove, Yemassee, SC

Very thankful to have picked this spot!Nichole and her husband are so kind! The property is beautiful, pigs, goats, chickens, horses. The bathrooms are clean and spacious and there is a washer and dryer to use if you need! Our boys had a blast running around the open area in the yard. Thanks again for hosting us! Will be back
