4 nights at Green River Getaway

It is directly on the road but almost no cars. We felt absolutely secluded even being on the road. Almost zero traffic the whole day. Nice playground for kids. Super clean water. Super clean spot and good graveled lot. Definitely a great time.

3 nights at Little River Hideaway

We loved staying at Little River Hideaway! Such an awesome setting, especially with the new gazebo. The community garden was absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed having the Cedar Mountain Outpost so close for food and drink. We definitely will be back.

2 nights at Serenity on the Saluda

Easy access to the site. The compost outhouse was clean, well stocked with all of the necessities and very convenient.

Weekend Trip to Little River Hideaway

We loved our stay at the Little River Hideaway. It’s a nice secluded little spot with great access to DuPont and Pisgah and all the activities they have to offer. Our toddler loved wading around and exploring the river just behind the campsite and Jann was very helpful and responsive to any questions!

1 night at Broken Oak Riverside Getaway

I recently spent a weekend camping at Craig’s Campground, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We were at Site 2 and it is tucked away in a lush, forested area, making it feel like a hidden oasis. The sound of the river flowing nearby adds to the peaceful ambiance, and the views are simply breathtaking. My 5 year old really loved playing in the river and the sand near it. The site has a range of amenities, but still manages to feel rustic and connected to nature. There is a well-maintained bathroom and potable water station. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site are a great touch, perfect for those cozy evening campfires. The owner, Craig is incredibly friendly and welcoming, always available for any questions or needs, but also respectful of privacy, allowing campers to enjoy their own space. The atmosphere here is laid-back and relaxed—perfect for anyone looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I will definitely stay there again when I’m back in the area.

this is a great spot right near the creek wonderful host and neighbors. My dog and I loved our stay here and will probably come back again. Next time I would probably book a site number six rather than four because it’s a little more level and has a bit more room but overall, it was a wonderful experience and I absolutely loved it.

3 nights at At the Ridge Camp-Riverside Escapes

What a sweet relaxing spot! Right outside our RV was a beautiful stream - I believe an offshoot of the French Broad River? Our pup went swimming several times a day as we sat on perfect large rocks sipping wine and throwing him sticks into the water! Plenty of shade with all the beautiful trees. We’ll be back in the fall to see the changing colors. There are several short term campers here that are super nice and helpful! The people are great and the camping was even better! Thank you to Tom - what a beautiful place you have! And thank you to Travis and Carol for being wonderful neighbors!

1 night at Peace Of Pisgah

This was a nice spot to set up camp close to Brevard an lots of waterfalls/hikes. There's a nice community area with water, outhouse, charging station, shower, and a few dishes/cooking utensils for us to use. It is close to a busy road so there was quite a lot of road noise at night.

Weekend Trip to Serenity on the Saluda

Not just a beautiful spot on the river, but a great host as well. We are going again. A clean out house and beautiful spacious campsights to enjoy. Although remote, if you find you need anything, it's a short 10 minutes drive to a store/gas station. I recommend this campsite. A great river to enjoy.

Our kids loved catching rainbow trout - it was nice and shaded and the host was awesome enough to leave us a canopy that helped with the heat a lot. This was a great campsite. Very well maintained with full hook ups. It’s also private with your own gazebo! The host provided wonderful directions and communicated well. The site was even ready early. We hiked to waterfalls that were a short drive away & wine tasted near Hendersonville. Highly recommend.

2 nights at Peace Of Pisgah

We wanted to adventure with our dogs in Pisgah forest and this was the perfect place to do that! The campsite was only a 10 minute drive from the entrance to the forest so we got to be some of the first hikers to hit the most popular spots like Looking Glass Falls and Johns Rock! The outdoor shower house was unexpectedly luxurious, with fast hot water and the compost toilet was very clean and didn’t smell at all! We definitely plan to come back.

Great little site. Very few bugs. Small babbling creek to listen to. Fairly easy access and close to stuff.

Magical experience! ❤️ Such a beautiful spot that I would love to bring my family to. We had camp site 3 and it is so private. The stream by our tent was so peaceful! We also enjoyed a game night in the greenhouse during a rainstorm and it was one of those memories I’ll keep forever.

Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. Hi! We are excited that you are thinking of camping with us. You'll be staying on our farm, which is a working horseback riding and equine therapy facility as well as a sanctuary for many other animals (including mini cows, turkeys, chickens, a pig, alpacas, goats, and a llama!) But don't worry, your campsite is surrounded by beauty and privacy. Enjoy walking through the woods, sharing a picnic while visiting with the animals, or just having relaxing in nature! We also sell farm fresh eggs by the half-dozen for $2, so you can cook your own egg breakfast if you would like! Our campsites are rustic. We do provide a port-a-potty on site as well as 7 gallons of drinking-safe water. There is a King Camp portable shower on-site, and we live on site at the front of the property in case of emergency. Each campsite has a fire pit, and a bucket of water is provided for safety. There is a convenience store and gas station 1/2 mile away, so snacks and fuel can be easily accessed. If you're looking for extremely quiet, we may not be the right fit, as our animals don't keep quiet hours so you may hear a moo or a crow at any time, but we think it's fantastic here! Cherryfield Luxury Group Camping exceeded our expectations. The shelters and grounds were prestine and the covered platforms were definately the way to go car camping. Our tents stayed neat and the covered shelter kept us dry and cozy as we watched the rain on our second night without a fly on our tent.This campsite has thought of everything. There are grills an firepits beside each platform (each platform is large enough for 3 four person tents) and there are two common shelters with electricity and GORGEOUS bathrooms. It is funny to say, but the bathrooms were nicer than many hotels we've stayed at... large tiled shower with digital temperature controls, excellent water pressure from the large rain shower head, and, as a bonus, surround shower heads for that extra special something. I have never been excited by a shower or bathroom at a campground, but I made sure to shower before leaving because the experience was so zen. There is ample lawn space to play games, set up additional tents, and spread out for privacy, even during larger group gatherings. There are grills and grill tops by each fire pit making campfire or grill cooking easy, but delicious local restaurants just 10 minutes away also offer catering style menus that makie car camping and group gatherings even easier (the local BBQ and Italian were terrific). The grounds are meticulously kept and there are sturdy bear boxes to protect food and trash to help keep unwanted visitors from troubling guests. While we enjoyed some activities away from Cherryfied, we could have easily spent the entire weekend at the campsite. Not only are the grounds spectacular, but there is an easy walking trail to a lovely moss covered waterfall just steps away from the campgroud. The sound of the waterfall can be heard from the campground. It added ambient atmosphere and lulled us to sleep each night. The hosts were terrific and offered many suggestions for take out meals and activities. My only criticism is that the weekend went by too quickly. I did not realize how much my family needed an escape of this sort until we got the Cherryfield. I recomment Cherryfield without reservation. Take good care of this special place. We cannot wait to return.
