So together with his wife and five children he converted a bus into a camper and carved out a site amongst the wild blueberry bushes and scrub oak trees. Our family fell in love with the island. We discovered all the island has to offer and found it irresistible. We were the tourists of yesteryear and what attracted our family back then still exists today: beautiful beaches, fabulous fishing, quaint villages, and amazing sunsets. From the rolling hills of Aquinnah to the dunes of Katama, there is no place on earth like it. Martha’s Vineyard When Chuck found out his job was relocating him to California, he made the bold move to make his family campsite and land available to you. With a lot of hard work and great family pride, the construction of Martha’s Vineyard Family Campground began. During the first few summers of construction, we lived in the converted bus and tents. Slowly the sites and the roads were carved out. Summer vacations meant clearing land and pouring cement. The campground was officially opened in the spring of 1972 and has been a family-run operation ever since. Today the campground is managed by a third generation of The Feeney Family. The goal has always been to provide a quality camping experience for families who wish to visit this wonderful island. KSJoy’s property was as described and a nice spot to hang out for a couple of days before the busy holiday season kicks in. Full electric hookup. No water this time of year (was just shut off last week). Nice area. Drove around. Followed the host’s recommendations for local food. Great advice! Had our four dogs with us. The property is close to a fairly busy road so having good recall (or we brought a fencing system) is essential. The road noise Fri-Sun in mid Nov. was not an issue. The host was very communicative and answered all questions but was hands off which we liked. Highly recommend.

Loved this site! A little tricky to navigate to, but quite fun that’s it’s hidden away in the woods with not a traffic sound to be heard. The animals are so cute (fainting goats Marshmallow & Graham Cracker were a huge hit with the toddler), electric hookup is easy and potable water very nearby, and the hosts were so lovely, welcoming us and communicating promptly to make sure we were settled in alright. We got their recs for activities and food in the area, as well- would love to return to Mystic, and when we do, we’ll be staying here again!
