* Showers are seasonal, with the last day of use on October 15th. You’re welcome to bring your own portable shower and use the shower house for privacy.
* The shower system requires access to a cigarette lighter port (vehicle or portable battery) to power the pump.
* The property is solar-powered with no electrical hookups, so we recommend bringing flashlights and backup battery packs for charging devices. On low-sun days, solar lighting may be limited.
* During rainy or muddy conditions, and in winter, access to the hilltop sites may require 4WD, and even then, it is not guaranteed—especially in early spring. Please plan accordingly.

Creekside now has electric ceiling lights, hot plate, mini fridge, etc. With a king bed (or two twins) and a bunk bed set, the cabin can sleep 4, with room for extra cots if needed. The gazebo has an outlet as well. Please provide your own linens, cooking utensils, dishes, and other camping wear. Cabin can be heated with a woodstove. As of Spring 2026 our cabin is now fully insulated, with tile flooring. Warmer in in cold weather, and cooler during the summer.
Angelica NY is just a few miles up the road, where you will find cute antique shops, dollar general, post office, gas etc.
We love our little slice of private water side camping here in Angelica and hope you will take care of it like it was yours. Please no carving of names or dates in any structure, do not cut or chop down any living tree or vegetation. Our property has a lot of walnut trees- watch for falling nuts come late summer and fall! No dumping or putting anything down toilet pit except toilet paper!

My ultimate goal is to be able to provide a place for man to be nurtured, where nature & wildlife will thrive, always striving to keep the environment as pristine & serene as possible. The Nest was as advertised: quiet, away from other cabins, a great opportunity to unplug, and had all the amenities we needed. The creak was so enjoyable to listen to. I would recommend hiking boots for hiking in Minster. The Shaw House in Sheffield is a delicious place for bar food, and reconnecting if you need to. There is a beautiful new covered area with the grill that looks close to new and a new picnic bench. It is however the flattest spot on the site. Be prepared to walk on uneven ground and up/down throughout the site, especially getting to the creek. No problem if you are in shape. I would not recommend it if you have any trouble walking. We tried fishing but no luck getting any nibbles. Loved the swing by the fire pit! The cabin is a bit tight especially if you want to eat inside. Ben and his mom were SUPER communicative. We unfortunately had trouble with the water flow stopping. We drive into town to call Ben and he gave us a few suggestions which unfortunately didn’t work for us so we cut our trip a day short. Ben is easy to work with and does right by his guests. Very trustworthy owner.

Weekend Trip to Creekside on Camp Road
My trip was amazing! The hosts were very accommodating to my last minute trip. The campsite is so cute and has so much allowing you to really pack the fun items and not worry about chairs and tables. The creek was phenomenal. I wanted to give my dog the opportunity to around and stretch his legs. He had so much fun zooming around the property, and using the rush of the creek as a “waterslide”. The fire pit was in a perfect location and provided an awesome cozy atmosphere. Great for people who really enjoy getting full use of a camping location!!

Got to fish, sit by the fire and enjoy a fresh summer meal off the grill under the pavilion. Would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!

Perfect way to break up a long road trip. Real easy checking in and out, the cabin experience super convenient, clean and comfortable. So much better than a hotel! Got a great night's sleep, and the next day a hot shower and hit the road rejuvenated. Will definitely stay again if travels take me anywhere near.

Completely private, Self check in. Literally onto a hill with a pond on the edge. Cabin has fans that helped us because it was high temps when we went. Outside shower came in handy to cool off quick and was not ice cold, lukewarm. The swings on the gazebo were one of our favorite things there. Swinging and watching the view. Great place to stay with family or friends!
No compliants at all, we just wished the grass was cut so the "weeds" weren't so high on our legs. Just our preference. Bring water shoes the rocks by the pond can be slippery.

I camped at Fern Hill with ~10-15 friends for my birthday this summer and loved it! The host was really accommodating in letting us pitch a couple of tents to fit more people, being flexible with our arrival and departure time, and was overall very communicative throughout. The space is absolutely beautiful and we loved having the private pond and firepit/cooking area. It was also very stocked with camping things (fire starter/wood/charcoal, cooking/eating utensils, chairs/tables, floaties!) and we definitely could have brought less stuff with us. I think our main things were that the outhouse was... an outhouse and we could hear the campground from across the street as mentioned in other reviews. But overall, it was a magical weekend and I would strongly recommend it to groups who want a private and beautiful place to hang out :)

This campsite and the whole experience was perfect! Our host was responsive and did little things to make our trip even more enjoyable. Check in/out was simple and all directions were clear. The site itself was so much more beautiful than pictures could ever show. Our family trip was 5 adults and 1 child, and we had plenty of space to be together, or enjoy some time alone. We enjoyed all of the activities this space had to offer- the cabin with comfy beds, the lookout gazebo held a nice size tent up top, the BBQ charcoal grill, the propane grill, 2 large picnic tables, outhouse with lime to keep the smell down, outdoor sink and shower with plenty of water, plenty of sun and shade overall, comfy Adirondack chairs, hammocks, swings and also a nice wooden bench swing in the shade overlooking the creek, walks for fossils on the ceeekbed, plenty of swimming holes with a little current to play in, generous amount of stocked firewood for a small fee... we even got to hear coyotes in the distance at night and saw some eagles and giant butterflies during the day. This place in nature is well taken care of and loved by it's owners, you can tell instantly. It truly exceeded all expectations for a private Creekside Cabin rental.

I cannot say enough good things about Cozy Embers Campground & Cabins! We stayed here recently and were blown away by how much care the owners and staff put into the place. It is so clean, the sites are spacious, and it is the perfect launchpad for hiking the Allegheny National Forest. The new upgrades and amenities make it so comfortable and it's so close to the reservoir. Such a gem in Bradford, PA. We will definitely be back!

Jessica and Scott were exceptional hosts. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcome and truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They checked in with us every day to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, which was such a thoughtful touch.

3 nights at 1970 Camper Kettle Creek Renovo Pa
Staying in Fanny was like camping-lite, which was exactly what we were looking forward to. In a remote area, the land is across the tracks and along the water's edge at the confluence of Kettle Creek and West Branch of the Susquehanna, but close enough to the town of Renovo for supplies, and has a cute roadside motel and restaurant within walking distance. The only folks we ran into were the host and their family, who live on the site. It was much more private than a state park or RV park camping and cabins.
Worth noting that there isn't running water in the camper, and outdoor grill/hot plate/microwave cooking are required. It's very stocked with supplies to do so, as well as towels, etc. for use in the outhouse/outdoor shower building.
For those who need a supportive mattress, you might consider bringing a small mattress or camp pad, as these old campers cushions ain't what they used to be! All that being said the price and location are perfect for a between camping and glamping style experience.

We especially liked swimming in the pond, it is deep enough that it still stays perfectly cool when the summer temperatures rise. Even though it's a pond, it avoids the muckiness of a normal pond with stones leading down to the entry of the water. It is so clean and there is no vegetation in the pond that it feels like you are swimming in a big outdoor pool.
The property has great lighting throughout, and the string lights on the porch and separate pavilion provided great ambience at night. It was also nice to have solar lights throughout the property that came on when the sun went down.
We went for the firewood add-on with our stay and were glad that we did. We were expecting a couple bundles but there was a whole cart of firewood waiting for us when we arrived. We still had quite a bit left when we checked out!
Lastly, just wanted to shout out Leah, she was a great host. She let us check in early and was provided super clear instructions for our arrival and check-out that made everything seamless. The trip could not have been more perfect!
