This solo campsite is tucked into a private meadow pocket, bordered by a tumbling creek, woods, and my horse's favorite pasture, with views of the surrounding hillsides and the river valley leading to the Delaware River at Callicoon. We had a perfect fall Sunday followed by a rainy Monday that somehow made the cabin even better. Warm, quiet, and easy to settle into. Jennifer was kind and responsive, and everything felt thoughtful without trying too hard. We found and brought an old CD player, a crate of our old scratched mix CDs, and ended up listening by the fire, laughing at what used to be our favorite songs and what stuck. Turns out, that’s about as good as it gets. Highly recommend bringing a few of your own instant time machine.

We were very pleasantly surprised with our stay at Hilltop Hall. All the photos online were an accurate representation of what was on site. The living space was extremely cozy and comfortable. What really sets this place apart was how well the place was stocked with equipment and items you would need. A lot of times when airbnbing, utensils and dishware may not even be available, but Hilltop Hall truly had everything we needed for our stay. Looking forward to booking another stay with them down the road.

My wife and I had a very nice weekend camping here. The tent is on a gentle hillside with a great view, and we saw a lot of wildlife. The woodstove in the tent is unique and very fun. The stove and the extra space in the large canvas tent saved us on a couple of chilly and wet nights. It was great to have water available, which was in a big jug that Marion would refill as needed. Marion is an extremely nice host, and we appreciated her hospitality.

Le petite cabine is the perfect combination of civilization and simplicity. We had a rainy weekend and so enjoyed the sound of the rain on the roof, the birds and the river and that’s all the sound there was! It was incredibly private. The outdoor shower was incredibly refreshing. It is a 5 minute drive from the town of Narrowsburg which has all kinds of restaurants and shopping. There is direct riverfront access. The site is good for all seasons and the host provided wonderful instructions and recommendations which helped us enjoy our trip so much. I can’t wait to go back. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Tent camping on Marion’s site was a dream! Easy to get to if you follow the directions and truly a wonderful host. Marion and her dog Aslan showed us around a bit and let us get situated. We had the essentials provided such as a bed, some lights, a toilet and Marion even brought us 6 gallons of water for our stay. The views were incredible and the stars in the night sky were truly a sight to see. The site was close to restaurants, great hiking trails, and water activities. Truly a gem of a place and an incredible site.

Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. Boating and fishing opportunities abound nearby, in the Delaware River or the famous fly-fishing creeks. Bethel Woods is a mere 20 minutes away.
