Just renovated for winter camping! Completely sealed up and draft free. Still a very primitive site, but the interior now keeps in the warmth from the fireplace. A set of bunk beds and a4 seat table as well as some could makes it work for up to 6 people. Plenty of tent area around of you have a bigger group! Sunnyday's farm and forest was a Christmas tree farm in the 1950's. I've owned it for the last 30 years and it is now a horse farm with pastures and woods. Rustic area of 25 acres of pastures and forest bordering a hundred of acres of railroad and municipal forest. Great for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking. 1.5 miles from Deer Lakes park which has fishing, hiking, mountain biking, frisbee course and a great playground. The Allegheny river, judged to be one of the cleanest in the country, is just 6 miles away. Harrison Hills park offers great hiking along the river and an occasional river otter. The Rachel Carson Trail and Baker trail are just a few miles away. It is a secluded log cabin in the woods on top of a hill overlooking a pasture. It is a very primitive cabin with a fireplace, brick floor, large porch, fabric interior and no chinking in the logs. We provide a bunk bed and cots and 2 picnic tables.. There is a large grassy area in front of the cabin for tents. There is no vehicle access, no electricity and no water at the cabin, but LOTS of downed wood for fires. There are horses, goats, chickens, ducks and a pig that roam the pastures. The cabin is about 300 yards from the parking area up a fairly steep hill, but the location is worth the walk! If you're stopping with an RV or trailer we have ample parking near the road and have overnight accommodations for horses Great place for a stopover.

The cabin has sheets/pillow cases, 2 pillow's and a blanket all for the full size bed with a mattress cover. The cabin sits approx 100ft on a hill overlooking the farm house and the facilities area. Here inside the privacy area contains a hot tub, lounge chairs, picnic table, propane grills, 3 private toilets, a sink, two urinals, and 2 private outdoor showers. To enhance the wellness & relaxation experience the privacy compound is naturalist-friendly. All of this comes with a great view of the area. You are literary in the midst of farm animals that will add to this retreat experience.

Hominy Ridge Cabins and Gift Shop is located in Cook Forest State Park, PA, USA. Situated on 7 private acres, we offer 6 cabins (3 smaller ones with hot tubs) that offer most amenities. However, we do not supply bath towels and toiletries. We also permit dogs, for a $15 per day per dog fee, in most cabins with the exceptions to Cabins 1 & 3. Cabins 1, 3, 6, all have private hot tubs on the porches. We do provide all bedding, pots, pans and dishes and silverware. Complete kitchens with all major appliances. Also provided is toilet paper, bath mat, dish soap, dish towels, scrub sponge, coffee filters with brew style coffee pot. We have firewood set up at cabins for convenience but the cost is $5 per bundle. Also, there is air conditioning for a $20 cost per day. We have an onsite camp store that offers a wide array of items for camping, groceries, gifts, crafts, ice cream, tobacco, fishing bait and tackle, Pa Lottery, Pa Skills Machines, and so much more.

Donnie's property is truly an unexpected little slice of heaven. From the property and amenities, to the welcomed animal interruptions during our detailed tour at the courtesy of Donnie...this place is truly something special. Although during our stay we were doing what some would classify as "glamping"; the amount of amenities and relaxing feeling they create makes it feel more like a country resort. We will definitely be back!

This has been one of my favorite hip camp experiences! Donnie is a wonderful host and has a lovely property with a bunch to do. Loved falling asleep in a cozy den and waking up to the animals. All areas were clean and comfortable- 11/10!

Donnie was amazing, so accommodating, kind soul. The amenities were way better than I expected them to be. What an incredible value for the price. Wonderful privacy. Beautiful views. The hot tub was phenomenal. The bathrooms and showers are awesome. There's a refrigerator and microwave in the common space. Took my mom here for a getaway and we will definitely be coming back.

This place was absolutely beautiful. All the little details Donnie added made the experience that much more amazing. The property was taken care of so well and we got to interact with a few people who were staying as well and everyone there was a reflection of what Donnie created. This is my second time staying on Gerard's property, the land is so lovely and quiet and full of life! I love all the animals, Gerard took his time to introduce us to all of them and allowed us to hold the ducks and everything. Always a magical time. The hay was so comfortable and smelled so nice.
