Sleep like a log in our one-room charming cabin on a small private lake lot with non-motor boats only. Little Elk Lake is 43 acres. Queen bed with linens provided, plus 2 adult cots with pads and sleeping bags. Rowboat plus 1 youth kayak, two adult kayaks and a canoe are available for your use, and we have life jackets in many sizes. We are sorry but the pontoon boat cannot be used by guests. The fishing is EXCELLENT and bring your binoculars - BALD EAGLES frequent the lake! We want you to have so much FUN during your visit, but we are not a party spot. The lake is rural and quiet, and so we must request low noise levels after 10 pm in order to keep our neighborhood HAPPY! :) We welcome everyone, including the LGBQT community and folks from all ethnicities. You'll feel like you are coming home to a safe haven and all guests will be treated with kindness and respect here at Sunset Shore! Don't waste one moment of lake time! The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October. In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. Contact us to coordinate for larger group bookings. Please note that a significant portion of county tax/fees and cancellation or change fees may be avoided by booking the base amount of people (4) and at a much later date adding extra guests. We have public city water, with a water filtration system on our fridge. You may bring your own preferred water bottle for drinking if you like. We also have a queen sofa pull-out bed in the game room and a futon in the loft area for extra sleeping. All linens for bedrooms and extra sleeping are provided. Our home is fully equipped with/ stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove/oven, blender, dishware/silverware, a Keurig and drip coffee maker, a toaster oven, and a blender. Firewood is NOT included. Bring your own firewood for the fire pit.

Weekend Trip to Best Campground Near Me

We absolutely loved our stay at Sean's campground. Rustic cabin#2 was well equipped with all the amenities we could possibly need including a mini fridge and A/C unit. Sean was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the area including great restaurants to check out. Sean's commuication was really top notch! We loved the close proximity to Worlds End Statepark, as that was our reason for being in the area. I am excited to see how they continue to improve the sites and will definitely return!

Cabin was perfect! Had everything you need to be comfortable and the lake was beautiful! We saw a lot of eagles and a lot of other birds that you don’t see often! We will definitely be back when it gets warmer so we can spend more time on the water

Excellent set up for rainy weather too - the out door patio cover worked great and means you can grill and have a fire, even in the rain. FYI there’s power available and you should bring ice for the yeti cooler

Weekend Trip to Catskill's Le Petite Cabine

Petite Cabine was everything I wanted. It was so cozy and a perfect place to spend a rainy weekend in the mountains. The kitchen is outfitted fully and I loved cooking with the cast-iron on the stove. The fireplace kept us warm the whole time and listening to the rain from the cabin was lovely. We took some nice walks nearby and saw that it would be really nice to come back and enjoy the fire pits when the weather was nicer. Don’t skip on the outdoor shower either. Annie was a great host and I highly recommend!

We had a fantastic trip thanks to the site being fantastic, and Sam being a wonderful host! There was an unforeseen issue early on and Sam was quick to immediately get my wife and I on a different site without us having to reschedule, no questions asked. Not to mention the grounds themselves are close enough to stores/other outings if you need anything. I would return again in a heartbeat.

10/10 u should stay here. i usually dont even like glamping/cabins because i would rather just camp but this was very worth it. the cabin is isolated enough to feel like you are alone you dont even really notice other ppl are staying on the property. its the perfect size for a couple and we stayed with our cat too. the bathtub was so nice and having a covered bbq and pantry outside makes everything really easy. if you want to be outdoors/in nature but straight camping in the northeast winter/cold/stormy season is too much for you this is perfect. Sam is great and was always around if we had a issue or needed help with something. he let us pit fire some ceramics as well which was a blessing.
