The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October. In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. Contact us to coordinate for larger group bookings. Please note that a significant portion of county tax/fees and cancellation or change fees may be avoided by booking the base amount of people (4) and at a much later date adding extra guests. The cabin was awesome and Ed is a great host. If you're tired of cramped and overcrowded campgrounds then this is the kind of place you want to stay. While the hosts house is a stones throw away, you have absolute privacy, peace, and quiet here; and the cabin itself is the perfect size for a family of 4 with 2 teens.

Such a great place! The cabin is bigger inside than we expected. Beds and even the sofa were comfortable. Loft is super low but was fun for the kids. Theres plenty of inside games to try but bring your own outside games. Kitchen had pretty much everything. Fire pit was great and having local dry wood to use was definitely key. Creek walk was super fun, we went every day it wasnt raining. Spent one day at Lake Tobyhanna nearby. Feels like youre in the woods but Aldi is 10 minutes away. We would absolutely come back. Saw 2 fox, 1 salamander, many slugs, butterflies and caterpillars. Wish we could take the fresh air home :)

Part of the mass of 10 Mile River Boy Scout camp facilities. Absolutely fantastic just enough on grid to make it comfortable but definitely for those that love the outdoors. You will need a higher clearance vehicle to get back to the Family Camp so be aware. Absolutely loved it Sal who helped us out was wonderful, and we are definitely going to book again. You will need to get in touch with them for directions as directions on here are a little nebulous.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at haunted tree farm. Quiet, open skies, private. The cabin is thoughtfully appointed to accommodate a number of needs, down to a coffee station for K cups, or drip coffee. Bring your favorite DvDs for fun movie nights, or pick from the stack inside the cabin! The fire pit was large and comfortable, the grill outdoors covered most of our cooking needs, and we found that there was plenty of seating, indoor or outdoor, to accommodate small to large groups. Encounters with wildlife or priceless, we definitely had a fantastic trip!

Great little cabin. Very cozy and had everything we needed for a perfect getaway. Close to a beautiful state park with waterfalls and swimming holes. I would recommend this place to anyone.

3 nights at Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake

Late to reviewing but this is my most favorite place! We left some mugs for all to enjoy with our favorite memories and our most precious, Frank. Ordered them specifically to leave at the cabin. I look forward to spending time here every year as it’s a little spot of heaven. The lake is perfect even in temperature. The cabin has everything you could need. The spot is incredible. Don’t pass this place up on small “imperfections” you will never find a better spot than here. Tucked away in northern PA.

2 nights at Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake

Sunset Shore Cabin had everything we needed for a great weekend trip. Everything was neat and clean. There were multiple towels and washcloths for use to use, and all the silverware/pots/utensils and supplies we would ever need. The lake is peaceful and quiet, and the inflatable boats and dock are in great shape. We even lit the tiki torches going down the path at night. We purchased wifi as well and it worked great, I would certainly love to stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Cabin Getaway

Andreas land is so peaceful. We brought our reactive dog and she loved being off leash. The state park is about 15 min away and had great trails. On the property and nearby there is absolutely no service. There is wifi at the state park but we had no service at the campsite and none until we got the park so download any GPS maps. The actual cabin is nice and has two small cots (a bit hard for my liking so bring an air mattress or mattress pad). They had a great grill, picnic tables and a nice outdoor shower. The shower and porta potties were super clean. Thanks again for the stay!

Weekend Trip to Ten Mile River: Lakeside Cabins

This campsite was a good time. We stayed a night it was supposed to be two but unforeseen circumstances had us leave before we stayed the second night. Skyler and Sal were great help with all of our needs and super friendly and hospitable. The issues we had here was the process that the camp had with the host taking bookings on Hipcamp. When we arrived neither Skyler or Sal knew we were staying at the cabin. They weren’t aware that we had a reservation at all until I flagged down Skyler and asked about firewood. It doesn’t seem that the person taking the bookings is relaying to anyone at the campsite which cabins are booked for when which can be really troubling if you get there after a long drive and walk into an cabin you rented to find another family there. Overall I would come here again for sure. Would just reach out to the camp directly next time though.

Our stay at Andrea’s cabin was PERFECTION. The whole site is so thoughtfully laid out and has everything you need to have a comfortable and peaceful time. The portapotty was very clean, and the outdoor shower and sink was such a nice touch that made our stay even better. Nothing but great things to say, I can’t wait to come back. The cabin was stocked with wood available for purchase, a lantern, battery charger, fan, and solar lights which were perfect for at night! The site was incredibly private but close enough to houses and towns that it was comforting. There is no service in the area of the cabin (which I think is perfect for camping) so be aware of that for when you need directions when heading out 🤣 Also being able to walk around the property was awesome! 10000/10 will recommend and will be back.

This little getaway was a gem. Perfect. Secluded and cozy. I got a little turned around enroute but Andrea responded very quickly and got me back on track. My little Honda Fit reached it without any trouble. I greatly appreciated the battery powered fan and the charger. A welcome surprise. I highly recommend.

Weekend Trip to Cabin Getaway

This is my second time staying at this cabin. It is so peaceful and relaxing. You're set out in the middle of the woods. There's solar hot water heater (which can get very hot fast) for an open top outdoor shower (very invigorating) and sink for washing dishes etc. Beyond clean and smelling fresh Porta John! They have a nice stack of wood at the cabin to purchase for your bonfire and a woodstove inside the cabin for cooler days/nights. Solar lights outdoor automatic lights and indoor lights along with a battery pack if you need to plug anything in or to charge something.. Just a beautiful, peaceful place to enjoy the outdoors. Will definitely go back!

Weekend Trip to Journey's End Farm

What a wonderful weekend on the farm! We experienced the joys of camping in nature, but with some luxuries you won’t find in tent camping. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. We loved that you could walk right out of the cabin to a very large, fully covered deck with a picnic table and a long thin table/bench to prepare food, etc. Right behind the cabin and deck is a peaceful creek that helped us cool down after unpacking all of our belongings. Our daughter loved being able to go searching for the goats and was thrilled with her daily visits from the friendly barn cat, Mousakka. Our host was warm, welcoming and informative, giving us a thorough tour of the farm and answering any questions we had. There were clean bathrooms and hot showers in the building next to us. Cooking and cleaning was easy with the fire pit and outdoor sink. We really couldn’t have asked for a better camping experience and we hope to be back next year!

We had a lovely 4th of July weekend at Journey's! The cabin was spacious and the outdoor space was lovely. The location is also great for getting to good hiking areas and not far from Scranton.
