There are 3 campsites and one cabin located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

This is our 100 yr old family farm. The lower fields are used for beef cattle grazing and hay making. There is a rough road to walk up to the fields and woods above. We are very close to the Aughwick creek where there is kayaking and fishing. There are many trails in Huntingdon County. We are about 45 mins away from Lake Raystown dam where there is boating and camping and trails. The 1000 steps is a popular hiking trail.
We have a recently remodeled farmhouse for short term rentals. There is a spot for a motor home that would have electric and water hookups.

We loved staying at the Star Lee Farm. The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and I. There was enough firewood for us to have a fire all day the one day and a few shorter ones as we needed other days. The walk to the outhouse was short and the views for that area to the surrounding mountains and trees was beautiful. The cabin was remote, we could see the other one through the trees if we tried but no one was staying there. They checked in via message a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything and restocked the bathhouse halfway through our stay. We were just a short drive from hiking at a state park which was great.

Great stay! The cabin was exactly as described and offered the perfect escape from the crowds. The interior was cozy with everything you needed for a stay regardless of timeframe; Theresa was incredibly communicative and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the secluded atmosphere of the cabin and variety of unique animals on property. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for serenity and a unique experience. Super cozy, relaxing, and beautiful surroundings with a kind & responsive host. The bed and the sofa are extremely comfortable, and the in-cabin stove and solar-powered mini fridge are very convenient. The heater keeps the cabin nice and warm on colder nights, too. My husband and I loved having our "mini moon" here, building a campfire, lounging on the porch, walking the trails, and greeting the animals! Would love to come back in the summer.

Nice little cabin that made camping in January comfortable with heating. Offered basic necessities for cooking. No running water but there was a new edition built on for a bathroom instead of going outside to hike up a hill to a bathroom. There’s rain collection for flushing the toilet and there’s well water to grab drinkable water from anytime. The host was nice enough to fill both water jugs before we arrived. Very friendly people, I can tell they love their animals. The farm includes, but not limited to; 2 emus, 2 dogs, some cows, bunch of pigs, a goat, and a retired mustang horse named Charles. Definitely recommend doing a tour of the farm as you can be as interactive as you want with the animals. Do bring tall boots or shoes you don’t mind getting muddy if it’s rained recently or if you’ve never been on a farm. It is a farm after all, get used to the chance of getting messy if you love animals. We had a great time exploring the trails they had to offer even while it was raining. I will say some of the trails are very steep on a hill so be cautious while exploring. This time of year is maple tapping which I would of loved to do, but circumstances didn’t allow it and that’s okay, maybe next time! Overall, a really enjoyable time here and we are planning on coming back in the spring/summer to possibly kayak and pick wild berries on the trails. Can’t wait to come back, thank you for hosting us.

Kevin was super accommodating and the cabin was very clean and cozy with lots of little extras. The outside of the cabin had a picnic table and fire pit and was private. Cell service was good enough to stream a movie on netflix on our laptop too. We will definitely stay here on the property again.

Everything was awesome. The little cabin stayed so warm and was the perfect size for our family of three plus our doggo!
The land was beautiful. Theresa and her husband were both so kind. We loved meeting their farm of animals. And she was easy to get a hold of and easy to chat with. We will definitely be going back. The porta potty is a short walk and they are working on a bunch of upgrades in the cabin too. The emus are wonderful and sweet, we visited them multiple times a day. I could go on and on. 100% recommended for an upgraded camping experience. Look forward to trying them out in warmer weather too!

Star Lee is a wonderful setting for a bucolic visit to Central PA. Close to Raystown Lake and other state lands it offers a nice stay for anyone to hike, bike, hunt, or fish in the area. Stargazing and daydreaming also included. As a working bee and hay farm, Star Lee offers the opportunity to settle in, relax and enjoy. It is clean, comfortable, and obviously well cared for. I highly recommend Star Lee and am still enjoying their honey. We’ll be back.

Weekend Trip to Star Lee Farm
We have stayed in a lot of hip camps, but this by far is one of the very best that we’ve stayed in. Some of the highlights: cozy cabin nicely decorated. No heat or electricity, but he had lanterns for us, but we brought our own. Nice outdoor area with a picnic table and a fire pit that was perfect. Also a gas grill for us to cook on. He is two other cabin places, but they are so far apart that you can’t really hear or see anyone else. The property is huge and it is a working bee farm and it was very cool. These are located nowhere near the cabin, so you never have to worry about the bees being near your cabin. Highly suggest you learn about raising bees from our host! He has delicious honey for sale and an awesome piece of property with lots of different birds and deer. we walked around his property the first day and went 1.7 miles so it is very large. Also, very nice that it is a close walk to the flushable toilets and hot water showers. This was also a huge plus for us in October. Kevin is very responsive. He is also retired military and very compassionate and energetic about his farm. We came up for the end of the road half marathon/4miler, but in addition to that there is much more in this area if you like the outdoors. We did not go to Raytown Lake / Alpaca farm which we will visit next time. We love to hike and within 15 minutes is beautiful hikes with awesome views in including the thousand steps and the standing stone trail. We highly recommend!!!

Weekend Trip to Mulberry Acres
The land is stunning -- much of it an old field with young trees taking over and plumes of wildflowers (currently goldenrod and aster). Great bird habitat. Mowed paths made for a fine adventurous walk. The cabin's bed was very comfortable, the stove was convenient, and our hosts friendly. It was great to have such a secluded spot close to our visit to Shikellamy State Park and Bucknell.

We loved our stay at Star Lee. The cabins are perfect getaway from the daily grind. Clean and comfortable. If you’re looking for wide open sky and some peace and quiet, look no further and head to Star Lee. Kevin is a gracious and accommodating host! He even checked in to ensure we returned home safe and sound. Simply can’t be beat and we’re very fortunate to have our first Hipcamp stay at Star Lee and looking forward to return. I loved staying at Mulberry Acres! The off grid cabin is perfect for a cozy camping experience for those who want a little rustic and a little glampy. The solar panels give enough electricity to run necessities. (Fan, lights, charging phones etc). The stairs to the loft are by far the easiest I have encountered, and I have stayed in quite a few places with lofts. They feel structurally sound, and safe. The bed in the loft is comfy and no need to duck. You can stand straight up! There is a camp stove if you want to cook something simple. There are even some spices provided! The fire pit is one of my favorite parts! The view from the fire pit is beautiful and peaceful. The trails are easy walking and there are a few of them. The portalet is a short hike up a steep little hill and down a grassy path behind the cabin. If you dont like walking a ways to the bathroom, you can bring your own camp toilet if you have one. Thats what I did. The owners are super friendly and gave me the grand tour of their farm and I got to meet all of the animals, even got to feed a few! This is the best hipcamp I have stayed at! Simple yet lovely and felt right at home! I will definitely be coming to stay again and again! 10/10 all the way around!!!!!
