We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. Several wineries and antique shops as well. You may also see Appalachian Trail Thru Hikers come thru our property to stay at the hostel. Sarah and Stein * Camp Blackbird is a 28 acre property that runs along Beltzville State Park in Carbon County, PA. So besides the camp, there is an additional 3,002-acres of state park to explore. There are a total of 2 sites. The land was vacant for decades and unfortunately used to dump household garbage during that time. We cleaned up the land, built a home and bat habitat. We, Sarah and Stein, always disliked renting a camp site somewhere and then ending up on top of people. So it was our goal to make space on our land for campers like us that want to be surrounded by nature, not other camp sites. A portion of the proceeds from your stay will be donated to bat habitat conservation and bat sanctuaries around the world. We are grateful for the hundreds of campers that have stayed with us. Thank you to all of you that have left a clean site and not made unnecessary noise that would disturb the countless species that share the forest with us. There are miles of hiking trails a few minutes walk from your campsite. Beltzville Lake is a great place for paddling. The boat launch is just a few minutes drive from Camp. In addition to the beautiful immediate surroundings, we are centrally located near many exciting destinations. Year round activities at Blue Mountain Resort, adventure on The Appalachian Trail, fine dining, biking the rail trail and whitewater rafting in Jim Thorpe, all within a 25 minute drive. The property is not suitable for parties or events. The area is a QUIET ZONE. Ideal for people looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding. The hosts mission is to disturb wildlife and its habitats as little as possible. VERY IMPORTANT - NO PARTIES or unregistered guests on the property. There are other campgrounds in the area that are great for people who want to party. We welcome pets. Please add your photos! The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent. You will have this space to yourself. The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. There is a wooden platform with a small structure on it. You can stand underneath the platform and it can provide some shelter, if needed. I had an amazing time camping on Scott's property! Very peaceful! Multiple campsites , some in the open and some secluded. I felt extremely safe & alone despite a few houses being visible in the far background. This is a great place to solo camp or even bring kids. Please be wear there are hunters out and its alot of them. So you may hear gunshots and dogs but thats what the outdoors is all about! 10 out of 10 !

Everything was awesome. The little cabin stayed so warm and was the perfect size for our family of three plus our doggo! The land was beautiful. Theresa and her husband were both so kind. We loved meeting their farm of animals. And she was easy to get a hold of and easy to chat with. We will definitely be going back. The porta potty is a short walk and they are working on a bunch of upgrades in the cabin too. The emus are wonderful and sweet, we visited them multiple times a day. I could go on and on. 100% recommended for an upgraded camping experience. Look forward to trying them out in warmer weather too!

Staying here was a beautiful retreat into serenity and we will most definitely be back! Fantastic stay! The farm is amazing and site #3 was beautiful. We had the perfect weekend. Host was very friendly and the communication was great! We felt very welcome. Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is just a few minutes away and the site itself is nicely set up, very quiet and private with a picturesque view of the mountain. Highly recommend! We are already looking forward to returning.

Our girls camping trip to Camp Dietrich this weekend was amazing. Scott met us upon arrival and gave us a full rundown of the campground! The checkpoint shed had everything we needed, wood was ready to buy, and the Coleman stove made cooking every meal so easy. The creek beside our campsite was absolutely magical, and yes, I even took a cold plunge. The tent was super spacious, comfy bunk beds, and the heater kept us warm all night. We hiked to the waterfalls on-site, which were unreal. Already counting down to bringing the kids this summer. Highly recommend, 10/10.

Our time in the treehouse was magical. It was my 13 year old son and I. He is 6’1” and he was able to comfortably sleep in the loft. Bill and everyone at Fairview Farms was welcoming, friendly and helpful. The stargazing was phenomenal; I highly recommend a dip in the hot tub under the stars. I would recommend bringing a heated blanket in the colder months. I brought ours and it was the perfect mix of cold and snuggly warm. There is a heater that works like a charm, with the blanket we only used it during the day.

2 nights at Camp Dietrich on Bear Creek

My boyfriend, dog, and I stayed for two nights at “a creek runs through it” and had a wonderful time. Scott was incredibly friendly and helpful. If you forgot to pack something, there’s a good chance you can borrow it from the check point shed. The site itself was gorgeous and very private. You really can “be one with nature” here. I look forward to visiting again once it warms up, to fully take advantage of the creek and some swimming. Highly recommend this place. Thank you to the Dietrich’s for a wonderful experience!
