We host weddings, educational workshops, retreats, private events, captivating music festivals, and much more!
We offer many different options for camping, from tent sites nestled in the woods to RV sites with electric hook-ups (electric site reservations are to be made on that specific listing and are limited).
We allow pets, all dogs must on a leash 6ft or shorter in length and held by an adult, there is a $20/stay pet fee for pets that can be paid prior to arrival.
Beach/Swimming Rules: Two adults 18 or over are required to supervise when there are children swimming. (Even if only one child is present.)
No swimming outside of the designated/roped swim area.
No watercraft allowed anywhere in the pond.
Do not use soap in the water, we have showers!
No alcohol, no glass or open containers.
On-site Phone is for Emergencies only (located in the beach hut to the left of the beach area). Creating a reservation is your agreement with this rule.

The creek (Little Hickory Run) is stocked with trout in the spring! Our property is attached to 175 acres of public hunting land owned by Colins Pine logging company. The property and woods however are not set up for mini bikes, dirt bikes or ATVS and are not permitted to be ridden there.
FIREWOOD-For now we are BYOW or purchase nearby at George’s Little Store in East Hickory on Route 62. There’s a cart and wheelbarrow provided to move wood right from your vehicle. I will contact guests if we decide to offer wood on site again.
FULLY STICKED EAT-IN KITCHEN-
The updated kitchen includes large pantry shelves because all you will need to bring is your food! I’ve got the rest covered. From the little amenities like spices and cooking spray to the Keurig and coffee pot; it’s stocked! Blender, crockpot, dishes for 11, pots and pans and more. Our herd may be available for horseback riding on the back roads of Penn's woods, but please let us know ahead of time if you want to trail ride. I'm sorry, but we cannot accommodate your personal horses at this time.
The farm is within walking distance of hiking and cross-country ski trails that meander through the Erie National Wildlife Refuge. Also, Crawford County's best kept secret for Perch, Walleye and Blue Gill fishing (including ice fishing) is a mile away at Sugar Lake. If you come for the hunting, (in season) let us know in advance and we will help you secure the proper permits and learn the rules of the refuge.
Speaking of the wildlife, come armed with your binoculars and a good camera. Common sightings include high and low-flying Bald Eagles and other birds of prey, as well as many varieties of colorful, native song birds. You may also encounter other woodland creatures, such as, White-Tail Deer, Black Bears, Coyotes, and of course, smaller furry critters, like raccoons, fox, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, beavers, ground hogs and opossum. Be sure to steer clear of the skunks and the porcupines, though!

Our many camping and lodging options allow families to relax, enjoy nature, and create memories. We have around 100 sites throughout our 300 acres, some woodsy, some with views of the rolling hills and some with electric service.
The Heron grounds boast a swimming and fishing pond, and over 4 miles of on-site hiking trails. Located on over 400 acres in beautiful Chautauqua County, NY, we are a working organic farm with a shiitake mushroom yard and on-site farm store.
We host weddings, educational workshops, retreats, private events, captivating music festivals, and much more!
We offer many different options for camping, from tent sites nestled in the woods to RV sites with electric hook-ups (electric site reservations are to be made on that specific listing and are limited).
We allow pets, all dogs must on a leash 6ft or shorter in length and held by an adult, there is a $20/stay pet fee for pets that can be paid prior to arrival.
Beach/Swimming Rules: Two adults 18 or over are required to supervise when there are children swimming. (Even if only one child is present.)
No swimming outside of the designated/roped swim area.
No watercraft allowed anywhere in the pond.
Do not use soap in the water, we have showers!
No alcohol, no glass or open containers.
On-site Phone is for Emergencies only (located in the beach hut to the left of the beach area). Creating a reservation is your agreement with this rule.

HUNTING/FISHING-
The creek (Little Hickory Run) is stocked with trout in the spring! Our property is attached to 175 acres of public hunting land owned by Colins Pine logging company. The property and woods however are not set up for mini bikes, dirt bikes or ATVS and are not permitted to be ridden there.
FIREWOOD-For now we are BYOW or purchase nearby at George’s Little Store in East Hickory on Route 62. There’s a cart and wheelbarrow provided to move wood right from your vehicle. I will contact guests if we decide to offer wood on site again.
FULLY STICKED EAT-IN KITCHEN-
The updated kitchen includes large pantry shelves because all you will need to bring is your food! I’ve got the rest covered. From the little amenities like spices and cooking spray to the Keurig and coffee pot; it’s stocked! Blender, crockpot, dishes for 11, pots and pans and more. There is a large table in the kitchen to gather around for game nights and meals. Or enjoy a picnic on our outside table.

Residents of TFO Farm include horses, sheep, and various other friendlies of the canine and feline varieties. You could set your watch by the evening visits of our neighbors: A herd of very social dairy cows, who always seem to mosey on down right around supper time every evening.
The primitive campsite will accommodate tents or a small RV. Don't worry about nosey or annoying camp neighbors, because we only book one group at a time - YOURS! The campsite includes a large fire ring, a limited amount of cut and stacked wood, a composting toilet and a small camp table. There is room for a smaller rig if you want to bring your RV or ATV. ATV or horse trail riding delights many a visitor all four seasons of the year around here. Our herd may be available for horseback riding on the back roads of Penn's woods, but please let us know ahead of time if you want to trail ride. I'm sorry, but we cannot accommodate your personal horses at this time.
The farm is within walking distance of hiking and cross-country ski trails that meander through the Erie National Wildlife Refuge. Also, Crawford County's best kept secret for Perch, Walleye and Blue Gill fishing (including ice fishing) is a mile away at Sugar Lake. If you come for the hunting, (in season) let us know in advance and we will help you secure the proper permits and learn the rules of the refuge.
Speaking of the wildlife, come armed with your binoculars and a good camera. Common sightings include high and low-flying Bald Eagles and other birds of prey, as well as many varieties of colorful, native song birds. You may also encounter other woodland creatures, such as, White-Tail Deer, Black Bears, Coyotes, and of course, smaller furry critters, like raccoons, fox, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, beavers, ground hogs and opossum. Be sure to steer clear of the skunks and the porcupines, though!

Weekend Trip to The River Otter Den - Riverfront!
Amazing. From the view of the fall leaves and the Allegheny, to how nice the cabin was, to having a chimnied fire pit. Everything was perfect,. We usually do primitive sites, but I figured we could go glamping for once, and it was beyond anything I could expect. Meghan was super accommodating and a really nice host as well. 11/10 we'll definitely be back!

Nice, off-the-beaten-path campground with lots of ammenities, clean restrooms, and a wonderful community “HUB” for relaxing and getting connected. The only downside to our stay was that the site we picked (hard to see online what you might be next to…) was very close to a long-term camper who’s living space was about a foot away from our sewer dump. Made dump time a bit awkward. Otherwise, a very quiet and peaceful location that I’m sure will prosper in the coming years. Would definitely stay again.

Clean air and a clean campground❣️Definitely had a hippy vibe to it, and was not far from the highway. The staff was in contact with me right after my same day reservation, and the owner I met was welcoming. There are port a potties and showers available, but they are in the process of building an actual bathhouse. There is also a pet fee to be aware of. I would describe this as rustic camping, so do not expect something like a formal campground with paved parking spots, fire rings, and picnic tables at the sites. Think open farm field, walk in woods camping. I would stay again❣️

We parked our short bus at the hill top and had the most RESTFUL stay with Bill and Nancy. No one else had booked the weekdays we stayed and it was such a treat to enjoy the sounds of turkeys, birds, and gentle rain all to ourselves.
Having the flushable toilet on site was wonderful (rare to find). The hilltop felt private as could be. We enjoyed fires for 2 nights with the bundle provided, and there was still a bit left. Pokeberries abundant for painters!
Bill and Nancy are kind, considerate, and have a lovely kept home and property. We were beside ourself with the peace we felt during our stay and will definitely try to stop back on our way home.
There's a rifle range in the distance but for a person who struggles with PTSD, the sounds were few and far between, and distant. For as many stays as I've come across this, it was entirely manageable 🩷 appreciation to bill for the heads up when we arrived/met.

31 ft pop-up camper
Thus is my favorite hipcamp mainly because of no leash on you dog. Back story we got a dog we love the dog we bought a camper so we can take her when we travel. We live near Pittsburgh and there are 3 hipcamps that have no leash Bill and Nancy's, one near Harrisburg one somewhere in middle Ohio.

Quite & beautiful setting, w an outhouse flush toilet and a rustic shower. We all shared stories of past adventures and we enjoyed Bill's sense of humor. We hope to visit again soon, especially since down the road on Saturdays there's fresh yummy donuts!! Can't pass either up!

Weekend Trip to Bison Trace Luxury Camping
Our little family stayed in one of the tents this past weekend and upon our arrival we found a spacious tent with all the amenities for an outside gathering, outdoor cooking, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and a separate game room.
We were so impressed with the cleanliness, aesthetics, and personal touches that were left by the owners.
Some shout outs:
* We were given a separate heated bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet, and a personalized touch of our family name on a sign outside the door
* A gathering area or hang out after hours with a fire cauldron
* A coffee shop with specious coffee and chai lattes and reasonably priced breakfast options
* Pickleball for our kids
* Very kind and gracious hosts
We will absolutely be back and recommend this as a place to visit to our friends and family!
