Large undeveloped forested property. as you enter the park, the grass covered roads wind thru the 3 acres of Forest and Blackberry hedges. Lots of wildflowers, and wildlife. It's open camping so , choose the site that speaks to you.

1927 farm house acreage with original milking house across the street. At that time, there was only a dirt road leading to the property. 5 acres remains, but original property lines were considerable and reached all the way to Williams highway. House was remodeled and a new septic was installed in 2019.
Original 1920s hilled acreage homestead with mature fruit trees, garden area, sloped pasture, seasonal pond, and friendly chicken neighbors. RV driveway parking spot is close to main road and the land owner's family home. Dispersed tent camping available in the pasture (New composting toilet added 2023!)
Located mere minutes from the city of Grants Pass, with convenient access to amenities, shops, grocery stores, and outdoor recreational activities; yet far enough out of town for all those lovely rural nature vibes. Applegate and Rogue River fishing, paddling, rafting, hiking, wine tasting, etc within a short commute. Covered car/truck parking negotiable.
Guests love staying here: "Beautiful views from this location. Miranda is a perfect host. She met us upon arrival & showed us the ropes. She left us fresh eggs from her flock of adorable chickens & even shared her garden with us. Grants Pass is a beautiful little town located close to the Rogue River. We were there in the fall & I was in awe of the beautiful trees every time we ventured out."

The Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest is made up of 1.8 million acres and spans from the Western Cascades to the Siskiyou Mountains. With somewhere between 60 to 100 inches of rain per year this escape is filled with a diversity of green and a lone Rogue River. Port Orford Cedar and Douglas fir practically litter the mountainous, and meadow landscapes. Lakes and streams (200 miles of them) aren’t too uncommon, and the forest boasts the tallest Pine tree in the World (we’re not kidding folks). The Ponderosa Pine stands at 268.35ft, which is a little bit taller than your average industrial wind turbine.

Elk Haven Ranch consists of 40 acres at the base of a mountain range that is BLM federal land. There is an elk herd and of course deer on the property. This property is a haven for them, no hunting is allowed.
If you are looking to throw a Frisbee with your dog in a forested and meadow setting, without tons of campers right next to you, then this is your place. Room to roam, fresh water April through September and easy access to a common electricity plug-in where you can charge your cell phones and air mattresses on the electric pole by the entry gate.
If you are looking to play games, just ask us for the corn hole or horse shoes, or help yourself to the games already out and available.

Highlights of this original home include a gourmet kitchen with labradorite granite counters, 800 year old juniper tree spiral stair case, huge beams and exposed rafters, a sauna, and a romantic wood stove. Also each upstairs bedroom has a hanging bed with three 8 foot skylights above for indoor star gazing. Original artworks from local artists are throughout the home. Many pleasantries await the curious such as embedded fossils in the cracked mud walls.Nestled amongst towering fir and cedar trees, with windows everywhere, you'll feel and see nature's presence. This home site has a remarkably peaceful way about it.
Recently featured in Southern Oregon Magazine and KCBY 11 TV's ~In Focus~ 'Goin' Green' and Oregon's Solar Home Tour, this is a unique 'green' home. This home was built with environmentally friendly materials. Building with little impact on the surroundings was very important to us during construction. The myrtle hardwood floor in the kitchen and living room was milled on site which came from trees that stood where the house is now. Same story for the beautiful maple flooring in the ½ bath. All of the large beams and fir flooring came from two 4' thick 104 year old douglas fir trees which also stood and were milled where the house is now. The fir trees sprouted after the last forest fire that came through the canyon. One of our neighbors fell a sixty five year old redwood that was over six feet thick! We used some of it as a wonderful wainscot paneling throughout the house. All of the finishes used are no or low VOC. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking.
You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. We also provide shade grown fair trade coffee and a grinder, espresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat six comfortably. There is also seating for three at the island bar. From the kitchen you can visit with the folks in the living room thanks to the open floor plan. Beside the wood stove are two chairs and the futon couch with reading lamp. A CD changer, TV with a DVD player and VHS machine are in the downstairs bedroom. Bring your favorite videos or browse our selection of movies.
The property has 150 feet of creek frontage with great views of Glenn creek, the forest and distant cliffs. Enjoy wildlife viewing with River Dippers, Chipmunks, Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, Screech Owls, Pileated Wood Peckers, Elk, an occasional Bald Eagle or River Otter and other wildlife from the house and back deck. Build a fire and have lunch on the nearby picnic table and benches.

Best campground we stayed at on our entire trip through the Pacific NW! Host met us immediately upon our arrival with clear directions and recommendations for exploring the area. Showers/restrooms were super clean and well maintained. Grounds are beautiful and the campground is thoughtfully laid out giving each site privacy and easy access to ammenities.

This was our first stop on a tour testing a camper van. It was a perfect start to our adventure. Spacious lots (and a wide variety of stay outings), loved the dish wash station and the showers (with heated clean bathrooms) were AMAZING! Great proximity to many different waterfalls. Staff were also incredibly responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

The directions were really easy to follow. We can't wait to camp here again!!! It is the perfect spot to unwind and depending on your cell provider you are off grid!!

We camped at site 17 with a tent and really enjoyed our stay. The site was spacious, shaded, and private, with a picnic table and fire ring in great condition. Bathrooms and water were a short walk away and kept clean. The river and tall trees made the setting peaceful and quiet at night.
A great spot for tent camping—we’d definitely return.

We had an amazing stay in the Umpqua area! The campground was peaceful, well-kept, and perfectly located for exploring. What really made the experience stand out was Stephen, the host. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area—sharing tips on local hikes, waterfalls, and hidden gems that we never would have found on our own. Highly recommend this campground if you want a welcoming place to stay. It is centrally located to explore many of waterfalls Crater Lake.

Such a great place to stay! I appreciated the nice & clean bathroom facilities. I felt very safe solo camping there. The pond area that’s walking distance from the campsites was so peaceful and nice to take a little dip in. Will definitely be coming back next year to explore the other waterfalls in that area.

The campsite was quaint and host was very welcoming! Pretty buggy but to be expected in a forest.
I will say: do NOT use Google maps right from the Hipcamp map/location listing. Put the address in the description manually into your GPS. Google maps literally brought us 35 min in the wrong direction up a forest road on the side of the mountain as we were losing daylight! The road it brought us to was incredibly narrow and we could barely turnaround without feeling like we were about to fall off the side of the mountain. We were STRESSED.
The campsite says it’s remote, it is right off the main highway through Umpqua National Forest. There is no service but there is wifi at the site you can pay for-not really what I would consider remote! There is also a small camp store next to the campsite.
Free hot showers! Only downside was it’s not lockable (just a curtain in front of the toilets and showers) so that was a little unnerving but everyone seems very respectful. We left a bunch of stuff at our campsite out and no one messed with it!
Wish we had an extra day to do the waterfall tour!

This is absolutely the cleanest and nicest campground I have ever stayed at. Definitely more glamping than traditional camping, considering there are flushing toilets, hot showers, and even a dish pit to wash all your dishes. Very friendly staff and overall would definitely stay here again. Would love to check out some of the cabins or clamping tents next time.

Pulling up I was a bit hesitant about the area, but we found I nice little spot,(I’m sure if there were more people coming to camp they would have got our spot which to me was the best for tent camping, we had the whole place to ourselves. First day walked to the falls & pick our spot in this secluded little sand beach with a level place to walk out to the deepest part of the river, we took our inner tubes & my daughter tooled around rock hunting. We enjoyed our stay until it started raining, we tried to out stay the rain but that wasn’t happening so we packed up. The compost toilet was a new thing for us & wasn’t too bad, better than just a hole in the ground where flys & bees buz around. My only complaint was I think it should have been dumped the next day. We enjoyed our stay & found out we do pretty good when off the grid (no water, phone service, or shower

Tent camping here was surreal. My fiancé, mother and I stayed here just for the night while on our way to California from Washington and it was lovely. Rebecca was very kind and gave perfect directions for anyone who would struggle getting to the property. They even had lights hung up in the camp sites which gave the whole place an amazing vibe.

My stay at June's property was very enjoyable. I camped in a very attractive, secluded area. The drive to the property was easy and directions were very good. It's about 16 miles from cottage Grove. I hope to stay there again and recommend it to others, especially for tent camping.
