Zig-Zag river is a short distance. Local restaurants/shopping <2 miles away. Skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, and paddling, and other recreation nearby. 15-20 min to SkiBowl & Timberline, and about 30 minutes to Mt. Hood Meadows ski resort!
Step inside to discover an inviting retreat, recently renovated and fully furnished with a rustic atmosphere, including electric fireplaces to create a cozy ambiance for your mountain getaway.
As you enter the main bedroom, notice how the room overlooks our seasonal creek and has private access to the back deck. There is a king bed, a Smart TV with streaming capabilities, and a walk-in closet with space to hang or store personal belongings and clothing.
With a fully stocked kitchen and a propane grill on the back deck, you are able to prepare delicious meals with ease.
Right off the kitchen, there is a utility room that includes a washer and dryer for your use. For the winter season, there are also racks on the wall to hang your skis or snowboards to let them dry out after a day on the slopes.
The living space makes for a relaxing place to curl up with a book, whether you bring your own or choose to read one from our bookshelf. There is also a Smart TV with streaming capabilities and one of the couches folds down into a futon for an additional sleeping area.
From there, you will find the spiral staircase that retreats up to the loft area, which has accommodations of two full size beds.

Weekend Trip to Fernwood Cabin Mountain Getaway
We had a wonderful girls weekend trip here. Hung in the hot tub, went for hikes, chilled and watched movies and drank wine. The beds were comfy and the location was awesome! Will be staying again!

Weekend Trip to Secluded Tipi Glamping w/Breakfast
Our stay was great! The tipi was adorable and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the string lights that were hung inside, it made for such a cozy vibe.
The outdoor kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed - black stone style grill, tea kettle, plates, coffee cups, pots and pans, cooking utensils, etc. There was also a table and chairs which was perfect to eat our meals at after cooking.
The outdoor shower was lovely - really good water pressure!

Secluded and enormous meadow for an extremely peaceful stay… we were happy reading in the grass but this place is also an easy jump to spots like Latourell Falls and Rooster Rock. The tipi was awesome and I appreciated the literature Julie has explaining the symbolic meaning of its design. The outhouse was downright cute, and it was super handy to have a sink in the outdoor kitchen. It was hot, so I also enjoyed the cold-water outdoor shower. We were only 30 minutes from our house but it was truly an escape.

What an incredible stay! This tipi glamping experience exceeded all expectations. Nestled in a quiet, secluded spot near the Columbia River, it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The setup was beautiful and thoughtfully arranged—every essential item was provided, and you could really tell that the hosts had considered every little detail to make the stay comfortable and stress-free.
The tipi itself was cozy, clean, and inviting, with plenty of space and charm. We loved how private the site felt, yet it was still conveniently located for exploring the area. Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee surrounded by nature or winding down by the fire at night, it’s a magical place to unwind.
The hosts were warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive—truly wonderful people who made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of glamping done right, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

The cabin was in a fantastic location with a great backyard and felt very private. I really enjoyed using the hot tub. Great communication with the hosts.
If you plan on using the futon I would suggest bringing a blow up mattress as it’s extremely uncomfortable.
