Raven's Retreat Tipi
Beautiful private place, we stayed 2 nights. We felt safe. The tipi is Beautiful. Parking is a little tight, and you have to walk about 150 steps from the parking in a forest to get to the tipi area. We had a blast.

What a beautiful campsite!! The tipi was cozy and the bed was comfy! Julie and her husband were kind and helpful with directions and finding the campsite was a breeze.
My pup loved being able to run around and they even let us use the sprinkler for some daytime fun. We stayed over Fourth of July weekend and Julie recommended to see the towns parade and firework show nearby and it was spectacular!
There is lots to do around the area, rivers to float in or hiking. Or just relaxing on the property is fun too! Can’t wait to come visit again!

A beautiful property. Lovely hosts that made them selves known but then didn't interrupt or intrude without warning.
The breakfasts provided were lovely.
The trail around the meadow had some great views of the sunset.

If you're searching for a fun weekend destination in close proximity to the many waterfalls in the area, this may be the ticket! Overall we had a good experience at the Tipi, the hosts were polite and anything we asked for they gladly provided. The tipi is secluded and we were happy to see that some things we originally thought weren't included, were such as hot water on demand in the shower area, power supply in the tipi, and plenty of chairs.
They provided breakfast every morning (farm fresh eggs, sourdough bread, jam, blackberries, blueberries, apples, & chocolate banana bread).
There is a nicely shaded cooking area with a propane stove and plenty of plates, utensils and stocked cooking supplies like salt, pepper, cooking oil, coffee and paper towels. Located behind it is a LARGE cooler they provided ice packs to help keep our food items cool while we were there.
Some things we found that could be improved were the bed comforter was dirty and definitely needed a good wash. And the additional blankets in the tipi smelled like wet dog.
While it was for the most part very peaceful and quiet area, this location is in the flight path to PDX so be prepared to hear commercial flights overhead frequently.
Ask for their wheelbarrow as it'll help transport your stuff to and from your car a lot easier as you traverse the dirt path from their provided parking spot to the tipi location.

I would love to give this site a glowing review and perhaps in time some of the kinks could be worked out.
This spot is truly serene (other than air traffic) conveniently located near Portland metro area but far enough away for some peace.
I stayed here with one other adult, no kids or dogs on this trip but there would have been lots of room for them to roam.
The kitchenette set up was nice, cooler with ice packs provided was a super sweet bonus I was not expecting. There were loungers and seats at a bistro style table that worked great for enjoying a meal. The provided breakfast was a perfect mix of fruit & protein.
On-demand hot water in the outdoor shower was lovely. Towels & a wash cloth provided.
Composting toilet was easy to use and without the pit toilet smell.
The things I didn't like about this site was the fact that it sits under a direct flight path to the PDX international airport and while the noise was not a problem during the day, it made for a miserable night trying to sleep. I'm not a light sleeper either.
The comforter provided was unwashed or under washed prior to my arrival (🤢), the extra blankets had dog hair on them, and had a horrible, horrible stench!
Improvements to the path from the parking area to the Tipi badly needed. As it is now, the path is very uneven and soft in some places w/ hazards.
I'm sure with improvements to the bedding situation this site would generate many 100% reviews.
3rd Hip Camp experience & I'll book elsewhere next time.

It was very relaxing, quiet, and clear sky to watch the stars. The host did a great job on communicating about hiking surroundings. Our staying was very satisfying!

Our stay was great! The tipi was adorable and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the string lights that were hung inside, it made for such a cozy vibe.
The outdoor kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed - black stone style grill, tea kettle, plates, coffee cups, pots and pans, cooking utensils, etc. There was also a table and chairs which was perfect to eat our meals at after cooking.
The outdoor shower was lovely - really good water pressure!

Raven's Retreat Tipi
Secluded and enormous meadow for an extremely peaceful stay… we were happy reading in the grass but this place is also an easy jump to spots like Latourell Falls and Rooster Rock. The tipi was awesome and I appreciated the literature Julie has explaining the symbolic meaning of its design. The outhouse was downright cute, and it was super handy to have a sink in the outdoor kitchen. It was hot, so I also enjoyed the cold-water outdoor shower. We were only 30 minutes from our house but it was truly an escape.

What an incredible stay! This tipi glamping experience exceeded all expectations. Nestled in a quiet, secluded spot near the Columbia River, it was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
