Largely constructed from materials lovingly and gently harvested on-site, the Yurt at Rivendell is a sanctuary of peace and serenity. A place for rejuvenation and inspiration.
The yurt began as a rustic structure utilizing lumber from trees selectively harvested to protect the health of the forest.
But, the more Roy worked on the Yurt the more it spoke to him letting him know how to proceed and what it should become -- resulting in this phenomenally peaceful and stress-free wilderness sanctuary where the
sun, the moon and the stars wink at you through the gentle undulations of the 100-year-old Douglas Firs Trees or through the ambient ether of the adjoining meadows.
Our property is located 1hr and 30 minutes from Mt Hood in Oregon.
We are located in White Salmon, Washington. There are enough things to do in White Salmon, including hiking trails, biking trails, white water rafting, waterfalls, and paddling spots to keep you entertained for a weekend, week, or lifetime!
NOTE: While we do accept Instant Bookings for both our Tree House and Yurt there may very rarely be a conflict with a booking received earlier from another site when the HipCamp calendar has not been updated to reflect that booking. In that case, we default to the earliest booking and work with the guest to see if there are other dates which will work.

Pull up and let the vacation begin. The Lake Billy Chinook area has everything for the perfect camp trip. There is bike riding, boating, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, swimming, kayaking, lounging and enjoying nature.
When you arrive just park in your site. We have 30-amp service but no RV septic hookup. The site is gravel so you may need to level your rig.
We have a fantastic outdoor area complete with couch, loungers, BBQ and fire pit. The high desert offers some of the most amazing views of the Cascade Mountains with clear blue skies and some of the best star gazing around. Casa del Lago is a dark sky site. There is a fantastic view of Mount Jefferson from the couch and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful.
During the Summer we usually enjoy beautiful sunny days and cool comfortable nights. You can hang out down at the lake and find a spot on the beach to have a picnic. You can also bring your boat or rent one at the Cove Palisades Marina and enjoy water sports.
Hosts live in house on property. We are located 4 miles from the lake and are nestled in a rural country neighborhood.

My family suffered a devastating and tragic loss of our five month old frenchie this last January, being at home felt like torture. I knew that we needed to escape reality for a little bit, maybe a little bit of a reset. I figured that was what my family needed. I found this cabin just looking on Google, I booked it for the next month and let me tell you the minute we got there felt like heaven. It is absolutely beautiful, hearing the river while sitting in the hot tub in the middle of the night, waking up to the birds chirping right outside the door. They had a stack of firewood, ready for the indoor fireplace, which we use the entire time we were there! We were able to bring all three of our dogs, who enjoyed every minute of it as well. I definitely plan to book this cabin again for the summer months! I would definitely recommend this to all of my family and friends!

Just another glowing review to add to the choir here, but it's true - Travis and Sheril's farm was a *dream* to stay at. The bathtub, bathroom, and outdoor shower were the height of glamping luxury even when it was still cold in February. I spent two nights in the creekside yurt with a heater and full mattress bed warmer reading and writing and in the day I'd meet the animals (alpacas!!) and make myself some food with the eggs from their farm. I would absolutely come back again. Also - ask for T's delicious daily-made sourdough bread!

Absolutely adored this treehouse!
The owners were great to work with and very accommodating, directions were very clear, and the overall scenery and aesthetic was absolutely adorable!
I would be a bit careful with the roads and make sure your tires are up for the job. I got a flat from all the sharp rocks and found out the morning of check out, but the on-site neighbor Jeremy was a ton of help!
The treehouse is quite secluded with a hot tub, oven, all the things you need. We hung out on the pull out couch downstairs while we played games. Absolutely adorable and cannot wait to go again!

Super cozy spot right on a beautiful creek — such a relaxing place to stay. Jeffrey was a great host and shared everything we needed for an easy trip. The kitchen was really well stocked, and the location is perfect for skiing at Meadows (less than 30 minutes away). Would definitely stay here again!

This was an amazing experience!! Handsfull farm is a beautiful property that is so spacious but somehow feels so cozy and wonderful at there same time. my partner and I were planning some things to do around the area but ended up staying our full two days at the farm because there was so much to do. I felt so so welcome by everyone there. it's really clear that they really care about the guest experience.
The glamping spot by the creek is also super private, it feels like you have your own forest to explore. Pictures cannot do it justice! I can't wait to return!!

Susan's place is phenomenal. It's a fantastic location right above Billy Chinook Lake. It has a sweet little cabin you can stay in and a tent site area complete with everything you could need for a weekend away. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Each area has outdoor lounging areas, propane fire pits, outdoor cooking areas complete with supplies, a lovely hot outdoor shower, and a cozy hot tub that's perfect for late night soaking and star gazing. She was the best host you could ask for, so friendly, helpful, and responsive.

Me, my partner, and our dog really enjoyed our stay at Cabin Del Courtyard. Susan is so communicative and thoughtful. We enjoyed all of the accommodations, especially the Nexgrill, hot tub (once it cooled down at night), and the fire pit. The hosts have really thought of everything that you need and prioritize their guests privacy. We would love to stay and visit the area again.

Travis and the Handsfull Farm was absolutely phenomenal! It was our first time glamping and it did not disappoint. We had everything we could possibly ask for (and more)!
More importantly, we were welcomed with a smile and given full access to the property is if it were our own. We never felt like we were a bother - in fact, we felt right at home.
We enjoyed hanging out with the alpacas, goats, new little chickens, etc! Travis just finished up his second glamping site and I cannot want to take more family and friends here.

We had a great time at this little cabin. The view on one side had a view of construction equipment and there was some construction noise when we arrived but it stopped shortly after and did not resume. We had a great time going through all the tapes in the cabin- our favorite was Kitaro Astral Voyage. The grounds were nice to take a walk on, and found it extraordinarily easy to have a dog with us, the gate at the top of the stuff was perfect to keep him contained while in the hot tub and there was so much space for him to run around and get some energy out. The wood stove kept the cabin plenty warm- almost too warm much of the time so we had windows cracked and the fresh air was nice. The only part that was iffy to me was asking for us to do our own cleaning up, as well as leave a tip for the housekeeper, as well as a $100 cleaning fee and while this has become standard for most places unfortunately, it doesn’t sit well with me to ask
for all 3 of those things, especially as the cabin wasn’t pristinely clean to begin with. The dust bunnies under the upstairs bed and splatters on the wall around the stove and the splatter on the bathroom door need attention, however we are not clean freaks and it wasn’t too much of a bother. Overall we had a lovely time and would recommend this spot. Next time we would probably go for the yurt as it is slightly more secluded without being in view of houses/construction equipment. Oh, and large people might struggle to get up the stairs. 5*

Group trip
The cabin was in a fantastic location with a great backyard and felt very private. I really enjoyed using the hot tub. Great communication with the hosts.
If you plan on using the futon I would suggest bringing a blow up mattress as it’s extremely uncomfortable.
