Pull up and let the vacation begin. The Lake Billy Chinook area has everything for the perfect camp trip. There is bike riding, boating, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, swimming, kayaking, lounging and enjoying nature.
When you arrive just park in your site. We have 30-amp service but no RV septic hookup. The site is gravel so you may need to level your rig.
We have a fantastic outdoor area complete with couch, loungers, BBQ and fire pit. The high desert offers some of the most amazing views of the Cascade Mountains with clear blue skies and some of the best star gazing around. Casa del Lago is a dark sky site. There is a fantastic view of Mount Jefferson from the couch and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful.
During the Summer we usually enjoy beautiful sunny days and cool comfortable nights. You can hang out down at the lake and find a spot on the beach to have a picnic. You can also bring your boat or rent one at the Cove Palisades Marina and enjoy water sports.
Hosts live in house on property. We are located 4 miles from the lake and are nestled in a rural country neighborhood.

Pets allowed, toilets on site, campfires permitted when burn ban is not in place. Now up until this year I have provided Free Firewood. I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now.
I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts.
Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice?
No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ.
What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”.
Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen.
I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven.

2 nights at Rags To Rescues Sanctuary
Bonita had the place all warmed up when I arrived and sent detailed easy check in instructions. I was there for cozy solitude and the bunkhouse delivered. I cooked all my meals and the kitchen had everything I needed. Would be excellent as a pit stop for folks exploring and also folks like me wanting a quiet spot to read, write, and enjoy sitting by a fire. Check out was a breeze. Will definitely be back.

Weekend Trip to Rags To Rescues Sanctuary
We stayed in the Bunkhouse. The listing definitely undersells how beautiful this place is. Super spacious, well appointed kitchen, super comfy everything, awesome hot tub, and animal friends! When we weren't relaxing or staring at the stars while having a soak, we got to know the cute critters that call this place home. Bonnie is a fantastic host and I love that the proceeds from our stay went to the sanctuary. We will definitely be staying again.

Sandy and Tim’s tipi was so fun and it’s beautifully made! Inside, it’s spacious enough to setup camp and still stand and easily move around. The fire pit was worth it on a cold night as it easily kept us cozy and warm all night. The community space is thoughtfully setup with many resources. The tuxedo cat (unsure their name but we called them “Noodle”) joined us at the community space, then followed us back to the tipi. We were happy to have their companionship, but heads up in case that’s not your preference because it did sneak its way through the main zipper of the tent. 10/10 would recommend.

The tipi was very cool! It was super convenient being able to camp without having to setup too much. We just brought a pillow and sleeping bag. It was fairly easy to find and we were able to easily navigate there in our Tesla model 3 on the dirt/gravel roads. The area was well lit and the site was very clean. Bring camp chairs for the fire pit! Be aware that it does get pretty chilly overnight being in the desert so make sure you bring a warm enough sleeping bag. Overall it was a cool camping experience!

2 nights at Sunriver Camp Cabin
The little space was very cute and excellent for a girls trip! Close to Bend and plenty of hikes and lakes nearby. A nice neighborhood so we could go for walks every night. Sadly the cereal was very stale and the milk was expired. One girl drank it because she didn’t notice and did end up getting sick at the end of our trip. So check the dates, but otherwise a nice stay!

Everything about our stay at David's was incredible, starting with him. After pre-arrival instructions/how-to from him, he greeted us upon arrival to give us a lay of the Ger along with a lay of the land. He is a kind, straight-shooting man with an INCREDIBLE story (I'd encourage a chat with him). The Ger and the land were amazing. We had everything we needed for an elevated and unique camping experience within the Ger. Outside, David stewards a prime lakefront beach property, idyllic in so many ways, not the least of which is it's quite serenity. I'll definitely be coming back and encourage you to visit.

Weekend Trip to STEEP DREAMS
Most comfortable bed from an online reservation ever! Very clean and cozy teepee with nice details like lamps with usb plug ins and nightlight setting, heavy blankets and a couple chairs. Portapotty down the hill was clean. Nice landscaping and a cute pond. There were lots of deer to greet us. Note—the gravel path up is indeed steep, we made it in good weather in a Prius, 4 wheel drive in anything less than dry conditions would be great. We’d definitely stay here again.

1 night at Sage Ridge
Very nice first time to bend so my opinion may be a bit biased but this was absolutely a great last minute decision we already have plans to come back. The night sky was unmatched. A little noise from the road but honestly that just keeps me grounded. The kitties running around were the 2nd big surprise. Such nice kitties one even snuggled up with us in the night. I can’t wait for the next trip. Will definitely be a stop for us.

Weekend Trip to Casa Del lago 2 Lake Billy Chinook
Susan's place is phenomenal. It's a fantastic location right above Billy Chinook Lake. It has a sweet little cabin you can stay in and a tent site area complete with everything you could need for a weekend away. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Each area has outdoor lounging areas, propane fire pits, outdoor cooking areas complete with supplies, a lovely hot outdoor shower, and a cozy hot tub that's perfect for late night soaking and star gazing. She was the best host you could ask for, so friendly, helpful, and responsive.

We arrived at the site and were unable to stay due to the air quality and wildfire smoke-we had small children and it was just too smokey to camp. Sandy and Tim were able to give us a refund due to the extreme weather and being unable to stay. The Tipi looked amazing, and their whole camp set up was thoughtful. We hope to come back and stay in the future and do the tipi, minus the smoke.

We had so much fun sleeping in the yurt at East Lake. David was a welcoming host, and he was so unique and fun to talk with too. His property is so special. The boats and paddleboard were fun and it was fun letting my dog run. He loved it; definitely in his element as a lake dog. The yurt was well equipped with everything you could need to cook and it was clean and comfortable. Obsidion speckled the roads and was fun to collect. May daughter and I walked along the edge of the lake all the way to the resort, which was so peaceful and fun. The camping area seemed so fun too- lots of space. The energy was really special. We want to go back and stay longer! Hopefully next summer!
