We have 125 acre farm ranch that is waterfront on brownlee reservoir. We have 5 different camping vacations options. 1 cabin to rent. 1 camp trailer on a nice waterfront lot as well as 3 camp sports 1 with water and power hook ups (site. 2 water wheel) and 2 dry camp spots. we have a spot to launch boats which is right between sight 3 and 4. Good fishing. Very little boat traffic. Very private. In the fall big horn sheep frequently rut on the property. We usually have fresh eggs on hand. Dry climate. Sage brush and juniper trees here. We have an easy to access spot to fill up water to your camp trailers or rvs. The water is from a spring and Water tastes really good.
We just added a 24ft pontoon boat for rent.
This area has a lot of history. Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce tribe often stayed in this area and on the property. In fact this was where his tribe met to discuss and decide to try to go to escape to Canada. This is where that journey started. You can still find arrow heads on the shoreline every so often. I’m ruffly 15 miles north of Huntington oregon. 13 miles of which is dirt road. The property sits at the base of lookout mountain. Really good cell service here with Verizon Full bars. If you decide to come camp make sure your directions take you through Huntington. Google sometimes likes to try to get people to drive over the mountain. Or if your coming from the north it sometimes wants you to go through Richland and then on 34 miles of dirt road. Going Through Huntington onto snake river rd is the easy way to go.

You can ride your ATVs right from the camp. There is huckleberry and mushroom picking in early summer and late spring. Local wildlife consists of deer, elk, eagles and owls, pheasants, quail, wild turkeys, all kinds of birds, (even an occasional farm chicken may wander by) and coyotes and frogs calling at night. My friendly labs like to come say hi. Campsites are for tents or RVs. Our electric is shared among the campsites. Our water is from a wonderful deep cold well that’s piped to a shared outlet in the middle of the RV camp. Bring a hose to hook up, we have one if you need one. Guest Wi-Fi if you’re close to the store. Cell service is limited. I do allow generators if you are not sharing the park with anyone else. If you’re the only ones, no quiet time, if others are camping, quiet time is from 10:00 pm - 7:00 am.
Site 1: largest fire pit, close to the power hook up, the most shady spot but still sunny, closest to the park.
Site 2: A bit of shade, most of the day in sun. Closest to water hook up.
Site 3: A Sunny site, a little late afternoon shade. A little more privacy as it’s the last spot. Farthest stretch for water and power, but I provide an extension power cord to it. Our little store has items you may need if you run out or forget something. We also sell regular gas.

Built in the 1940's by the late actor Eugene Pallette as a hideaway from Hollywood and a Refuge from looming world disaster after World War 2. Hello. My name is Tamara and my husband is Andy. We bought this place in 2022 with the goal of raising animals humanely and providing good food options to purchase at reasonable prices. After moving to Ontario I noticed there are not many good options for nighttime sleep. I fondly remember camping with our kids in a location we named Neverland. We decided we wanted to create that for people. That’s why we joined Hipcamp. We have several sites that range from close to the house and bathroom access to remote in a field with the sounds of the creek to lull you to sleep. To increase safety and aid in positive memory making, only one group is allowed at a time. We have lots of space so whether you are a lone traveler, a family, or a group of friends looking to make memories consider staying with us and our animals. We generally have goats, chickens, and pigs. From July to October, we often have pheasants. This year we do not so I can do repairs to the small coop. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch.
Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. There is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present.
A small, creek runs through the front of the property year-round. Water is clearer during the winter and spring months. The spots I have cleared in this area are small. I recommend tent camping in this area. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field; they are shy. We have goat treats available for sale if you would like to feed them.
Oregon has an invasive, poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant. If you wander along the creek, you will encounter it.

Our property sits beneath the iconic Midvale Water Tower. There is a public boat launch a short distance from us for access to the Weiser River.

The terrific hosts only offer one at a times which is great so you have the whole place to yourself (with some friendly goat visits on occasion). You can choose from up on the hill or down by the creek, which I choose and which felt very private, had some tree shade cover, and I had some fair priced eggs and meat from this working farm. A thumbs up recommendation to stay here!

Such a quaint, sweet little spot. The hosts were incredibly kind and accommodating. We took the wrong route and arrived late and they were still waiting to greet us with firewood and ensure that we got set up properly. The area was clean and the roads and sites were well maintained and accessible for our minivan pulling a trailer to not get stuck, even in the heavy rain. There is a sweet little shop full of so much history! The kids loved the swing and giant teeter totter and had fun playing with their dog Ladybug andTaz, the cat who thinks he’s a dog. The fire pit was extra cozy! It was a pleasure to learn about Pondosa and to meet Bob, who is a 103!! We will be back!

This place granted such peace of mind as a solo female traveler who was car camping. Having access to the bathroom and getting to take a shower for a small fee was great. I ended up parking by the house to be close to the bathroom but was able to be on the other side of a shed to be out of direct view from the house. Such beautiful land and felt very safe, especially with the gated driveway. It was so nice to have animals around, and there were no issues with them making noise at night. The host gave me my space but was lovely to chat with when she was around and I always felt like I could let her know of any issues.

I had a very comfortable and peaceful stay at Micone Ranch. Tamara was very helpful and communicative, and I felt so welcomed staying with her. The site is private, has convenient amenities, and is quiet all night. They have lots of animals on site, but I was not bothered by any noise at all. This is a great stop for a solo traveler or a group, and I would highly recommend it!

We loved our stay on Tamara and Andy’s property! There are multiple locations to stay at and you can choose any that speaks to you. We opted for the spot next to the lamppost with power (didn’t hook up) that was next to their driveway. The have a bunch of adorable goats and a handful of baby ones that were just over four weeks old. Tamara invited us to play with the baby goats to socialize them and that was just a happy bonus. Super quiet evening and they have a bathroom you can use in a sectioned off part of their house. Just a great spot to spend some time and one we would highly recommend!

Loved watching the newborn goats kidding around and the antics of watching mom rush to a hungry kid.
The only suggestion I have would be to put the yard light on a motion sensor so that the light didn’t come in our windows all night.
