This place exceeded our expectations. The site was very private with expansive access to the river, which is gorgeous. You are really 'away' here, the hosts are available for help but our site was about .5 mi from their house. Amazing place to unplug and unwind. Michelle & Larry were friendly and available to help with water, ice, and questions. There's an old hiking trail you can access - we saw plenty of recent bear evidence!
(Be aware there are large Idaho Power lines running through that can be noisy at times.)

Absolutely heaven! Just got home from an amazing Labor Day weekend at this amazing property. Beautiful wide open space with no other campers on top of us or even within ear shot. So peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed for the weekend. I could’ve stayed forever. Michelle and Larry are awesome hosts. The communication from Michelle leading up to the trip with perfect directions and a reassurance of our decision to stay there was awesome. Then to be greeted by her wonderful smile and the ever so friendly and welcoming Larry! Larry guided us right to our spot. Gave us a great lay of the land, a brief history lesson and some helpful tips. Super amazing people. I’m excited to get back and visit them soon. Oh and to have a vault toilet was a plus in my wife’s eyes. Thanks Larry and Michelle! See you soon.

We liked the privacy and the flexibility our hosts had to accommodate our group. Being by the Imnaha River provided a peaceful environment. Excellent star gazing from the open field. However, I was surprised that there was so much noise from the construction vehicles driving on Upper Imnaha Rd. during the summer, considering the location is over an hour from Joseph.

Communication was on point, Michelle was wonderful and gave me a good recommendation as I was on a roadtrip. She was very understanding and caring. Larry met me at the gate and was knowledgeable about the property and very helpful with questions. They are a lovely couple with a beautiful property. I am a backpacker and it felt like I was backpacking because of how remote it felt. The drive out was also beautiful. I had no issues finding the property with the directions provided. Thanks you both for the healing stay on your gorgeous land.

Michelle & Larry are all stars! My friend and I ended up having tire troubles on the drive in and they were beyond helpful…patching the tire, filling with air, etc.
Their land is also spectacular. The sites are spacious with gorgeous views of the river!

Amazing! Privacy, views, wildlife, great riverside site. Don't forget to look up on that clear night ;)
Plan on taking your time getting there, it's a long and winding road with a nice bumpy finish, but sooo worth it!

Really sweet campsite by the river with plenty of space for ourselves. Felt very private and serene :) Larry shared some of the storied history of his ranch after taking us down to the site. Pretty rustic overall for the price, but it had what we needed. Would be good for a big group if you’re worried about the campgrounds nearby filling up. I’d like to come back in a tougher vehicle and drive up to Imnaha.

This place is truly heaven on Earth. The owners are incredibly sweet and attentive, always checking in to make sure we were doing okay. The natural beauty is unbelievable—tons of wildlife, a breathtaking river, and so many trails and hidden spots to explore! My dog Sebastian had the time of his life.
As a cow and horse lover, I was in awe—the owners have cattle and horses on the property, and they’re absolutely gorgeous. I loved every single piece of it. It’s super private, incredibly peaceful, and completely removed from the noise of everyday life. Honestly, I would pay anything to live here. Can’t recommend it enough!

This was the second time I’ve stayed at the ranch and it was somehow even more magical than the first time! My spot was right on the river and had a bench, a fire pit and a picnic table. I absolutely love it here and hope to return again soon. Thank you Michelle and Larry for another great stay.

I loved the serene setting and we were close to the river for the kids to have fun and close enough to just listen to nature. Highly recommend this campsite to those who want to experience something different.

It was a lovely place to camp over labor day weekend. I didn't see anyone else the entire time I was there. We did however, see lots of wildlife including grouse, turkeys, bald eagles, deer, and a bear. It was a wonderful time.

The ranch was amazing and exactly what we were looking for. The history of the ranch and area was super interesting to learn about and explore while we were there. The hosts were phenomenal and super helpful. We will definitely be booking again and recommending to friends passing through the area.

We loved our stay at Serenity on the river! A unique and private location, with some history. We enjoyed having lots of space and quiet all to ourselves. No crowds here. It was a hot weekend and we loved having the river access to cool off. We even caught a few fish.
We met Larry our host and he was super friendly and helpful and we enjoyed visiting with him a bit. I highly recommend this spot for a peaceful camping adventure! We hope to return some day.

The Palette Ranch is an amazing place to get away from the world for a bit! The land is beautiful, camping on the river is perfect, and Michelle and Larry are great hosts! We loved learning about the colorful history of the property and enjoying the tranquility of being in such a remote location.
As an added bonus, when we experienced a medical emergency while camping, Michelle and Larry opened their home to us, made us food and coffee, and really displayed true kindness.
It's worth the drive!

This site is gorgeous!! It’s definitely remote, but we were able to find it. Larry and Michelle were both helpful and responsive. There is lots of good animal watching, and listening to the river at night was amazing. Thank you for a great stay.

This place was great, the getaway we needed. Also loved hearing the history of the land from Larry and Michelle and seeing the peacocks they have roaming around there was beautiful. They were a great help and awesome hosts. We camped right by the river and enjoyed every minute of it. One of the prettiest places I’ve been.

Michelle and Larry have a little slice of heaven! We spent our Memorial Day weekend on their lush, 300 acre ranch roaming the property and fishing the Imnaha River. This ranch is steeped in history, and I imagine not much has changed since the 1940's. This is the place to come and unplug. Days feel a little slower here. The Pallette Ranch was a breath of fresh air from our everyday grind. Michelle and Larry are gems themselves and the perfect hosts. The Pallette Ranch is a 5 out of 5! I hope you get to experience it one day....

Michelle and Larry were very welcoming and provided clear instructions to find the ranch. I loved tent camping along the river - stunning landscape, wild turkeys, deer, peacocks, eagles and more. Very special land.

So incredibly SERENE! We talked under the fabulous stars and agreed that this was our no. 1 campsite of all time. Parked right next to a beautiful rushing stream. Hosts are very nice and welcoming, letting us explore their property. We were booked for 1 night and immediately decided we needed to stay at least 2, so we did! The only challenging thing for some might be the remoteness, but we loved that aspect too. Just perfect- Thanks!!

The campsite, right on the river, is just amazing! My friends and I camped off motorcycles and had a fabulous time hanging out and relaxing all afternoon and evening. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend!
