Weekend Trip to Burgess Backyard
This was a perfect place to stay in Florence. Super cozy and roomy yurt, unbeatable convenient location (but also plenty private). Great outside area as well - fire pit, sitting areas, parking, DUCKS. Janine was a great host, very responsive. Everything was as described and worked great - WiFi, heater, great pots and pans etc. Just a lovely lovely place to stay. Would love to come back for a longer stay.

This was such a great experience. Very private, quiet, and safe place with a gate locked up at night, and the outdoor shower was nice! The mattress in the yurt was very comfortable.

I loved the amenities of the Yurt! It was the perfect space for the 2 of us. The views and the sounds of the birds and water was amazing.! The only thing that didn't work was the electric fireplace, but the other 3 space heaters kept us toasty warm. We were surprised to find out that we had to pay for the showers the last day we left, but they were very clean and the water stayed hot for the duration. I definitely would stay here again!

My family of 4 loved staying in the yurt! The yurt alone was well kept and comfortable. It is attached to the house by a door that locks on both sides. It feels private and has a full private bathroom attached between the house and the yurt. The entire property is fun for children. I have a 10yo, 9yo and 5yo. They romped in the forest, built forts in the rain and enjoyed spending time with the host family. The host family went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We enjoyed the fire-pit for sâmores and family friendly animals. We were close to the ocean, sand dunes, old town Florence, a beautiful lighthouse, etc. Eugene is an hour away for a day trip. We highly recommend staying here!

Me and my family were on a trip to the oregon coast to visit family. I wanted to try something different than a regular hotel, mainly because we had a real bad experience in a hotel on the
coast the last time. We thought Janine's yurt look fun and cozy. One of the nicest things was that we were both super close to Florence, while also being tucked away in a beautiful forest. We went on a trip with my youngest daughter who really enjoyed meeting Janine's kids, and her ducks. Me and my wife's enjoyed checking out the beautiful property. The yurt itself was what we were expecting, a comfy little place that felt like camping, while also giving us homely amenities. As mentioned before, it was a great base camp to be able to explore Florence and the surrounding area. We really had a good time and look forward to being able to come back in the summer!

Besides that the yurt is as cute as a bug's ear, the land is breathtaking, as in Majestic! I think both my dog and I thought we'd died and gone to heaven. There is a gurgling stream that runs behind it, there are connecting meadows tucked in between very tall conifers and a sense of peaceful respectedness about the place. Must see to believe!

We lucked out and had the whole place to ourselves. Perfect little getaway. The lights are a sweet touch. The yurt is cozy. Solar lights and propane heater (we didnât need it) table and fire pit. Great instructions easy to find. Would love to stay again.

Overview
Yurts are ideal for the Oregon Coast's coolâand oftentimes wetâclimate, so it's no surprise that many state parks on the Pacific Ocean offer yurt rentals in their campgrounds. Many are pet-friendly, too, and while most state park yurts come with basic amenities such as electricity, fire pits, bathrooms with hot showers, and futons, you will need to bring your own bedding. Coastal state parks with yurts include Fort Stevens State Park, Nehalem Bay State Park, Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, Beverly Beach State Park, Cape Lookout State Park, South Beach State Park, and Harris Beach State Park, though they do fill up quickly and don't offer the amount of quiet that some travelers need. Fortunately, plenty of locals have private yurts of their own that they rent out via Hipcamp.
