My dog, Panzer, and I had a great stay here! We had originally booked site 4, but due to a no-show Cheryl said we could set-up in site 5, which gave us a ton of room to spread out that I didn't expect. It can be dusty, but I'm used to that in Central Oregon - having the gravel road cuts down on the dust quite a bit too (personally, I packed up my tent in the gravel). I was surprised by the complete lack of bugs, which was a great highlight. And I loved how close the restroom was - even being in the furthest camping spot, it's maybe a 2-minute walk. Once we got the lay of the land, the best part was being able to let Panzer run off-leash - he had a grand ol' time traversing the terrain. It was nice that Cheryl kept checking in on us as well - very personable and a great conversationalist.

Weekend Trip to Casa Del lago 2 Lake Billy Chinook
Susan's place is phenomenal. It's a fantastic location right above Billy Chinook Lake. It has a sweet little cabin you can stay in and a tent site area complete with everything you could need for a weekend away. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Each area has outdoor lounging areas, propane fire pits, outdoor cooking areas complete with supplies, a lovely hot outdoor shower, and a cozy hot tub that's perfect for late night soaking and star gazing. She was the best host you could ask for, so friendly, helpful, and responsive.

Cheryl is a very friendly host and so easy to work with! We happened to be the only campers there when we stayed (I think a recent fire scared people away), and it was fantastic to have a real bathroom all to ourselves!
In fact, since we were the only campers, Cheryl suggested we switch to site 5 which is bigger and has more shade. We really appreciated that!
Our biggest complaint is no fault of Cheryl's; the land is just really dusty, and all of us and all of our stuff was very dirty. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

Wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a clean, quiet spot close to Sisters or Bend with some amenities. Great views and Cheryl is an amazing host. Tent spots are huge with a short walk to restroom and water. Definitely a hidden gem! We'll be back.

Cheryl is amazing! Not only does she have the most incredible story about how this place came to be, but she was thoughtful and caring. My mom, me, and my dog came through just as the fire near Sisters started. She called us to warn us and since we were originally going to tent camp, she offered us the gathering room to sleep in to stay out of the smoke. Her property is absolutely stunning. Wish we had more time on her property and with her and her sweet dog.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Cheryl's Hipcamp. Cheryl greeted us shortly after our arrival. The sites were as described, with a close walk to the facilities. It was a lovely spot to rest our heads after a day on the trail at Smith Rock and watching our son play disc golf in Sisters.
Such a convenient location, close to Sisters, Redmond, Bend, and Smith Rock, makes this location attractive for those that love to play on the east side of the Cascades in Central Oregon. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend Cheryl's land.

The view was absolutely stunning and even though Cheryl wasn't able to greet us in person, she was very communicative, so I felt I was taken care of. The bathroom is a bit of a walk from the site, but not too bad.

Me, my partner, and our dog really enjoyed our stay at Cabin Del Courtyard. Susan is so communicative and thoughtful. We enjoyed all of the accommodations, especially the Nexgrill, hot tub (once it cooled down at night), and the fire pit. The hosts have really thought of everything that you need and prioritize their guests privacy. We would love to stay and visit the area again.

The property really allows you to relax, and Cheryl is an amazing human who was a pleasure to talk with. Ardee the lab provided many licks and love, which was well received by our family. We look forward to returning in the future.

What a beautiful place this is and so peaceful and quiet. Cheryl had lots of recommendations for things to do and was so helpful. There are mountain bike trails all around and we enjoyed just heading right out from the campsite. Highly recommend this lovely campsite.

Cheryl’s land was secluded with stunning views. Cheryl was very welcoming and generous when offering access to her beautiful property. Directions to her property were easy and accurate. The site was perfect for our little trailer. We love small, intimate camping experiences and would definitely stay again!

This place is beautiful, remote, and well equipped with power, water, and recycling. I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Cheryl communicated readily throughout the booking process and leading up to the stay. She gave great directions that were easy to follow. Dirt road would be passable for normal clearance vehicles. I did put my rig in 4-low on the way up the hill but probably didn’t need to.

We had such a wonderful experience thanks to our amazing camp host! We arrived late at night with a last-minute reservation, and he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He greeted us warmly despite the hour, helped us get settled quickly, and made everything feel easy and stress-free.
What really stood out was his thoughtfulness during our stay—while we were out exploring for the day, the wind picked up and he took the time to stake down our tent so nothing blew away. That level of attention and care is rare and so appreciated.
Truly one of the best camp hosts we’ve ever had—friendly, helpful, and genuinely looking out for his guests. Can’t recommend him highly enough!
