This campsite is a pull thru road that has a sun and wind block overlooking local farm fields. Camp is two miles from freeway exit yet miles from any home other than the working homestead that was started in 1890 with huge barn built in 1906 next door. This is a great place to rest for the night or a week. - simple, safe, and private out of the way. From I-84 you will take exit 198 for Lorenzen/McClintock Rd. Turn onto Lorenzen. Drive one mile until you get to an intersection next to a grain bin. Turn left (west) and drive for almost one mile. As you near the two openings for the site, you will see the sun shelter directly on your left. You want to turn at the 2nd opening, by the sign that says IN. You can pull up right next to the shelter and set up your space however you like. That way, when you leave you will exit by the sign that says OUT and be headed back towards the interstate like you came. This is a dry camp with no water access or restrooms.
This site is 12 miles west from the world-famous Pendleton Round-Up. 8 miles east of Echo Ridge Winery, Sno Road Winery, Echo historical museum, and Echo Golf Course. Simple dining can be found in Echo at H and P cafe and in nearby Stanfield at Broken Barrel Restaurant/Bar with great burgers.

I raise my sheep on fresh grass and sunshine. Come see for yourself here on the ranch.
Pitch a tent on the pasture and literally count the sheep around you before falling asleep or climb the hill and see for miles in every direction. We may be close to the road, but it doesn't feel like it.
We can accommodate campers, RVs, trucks, tents, and vans. 4 sites to chose from.
Each site has access to a toilet, potable water, shower, picnic tables, trash disposal, and we allow campfires (outside of burn bans), and pets.
We also sell fresh eggs, firewood, and lamb sausage.
Our guests love staying with us: "There’s fireside fun in fresh country air, rolling hills around the farm to walk along to enjoy the wide expansive view, and sights and sounds of animals around camp to make for a relaxing day. There’s kittens, dairy sheep, gigantic but friendly herd dogs, and a variety of chickens and ducks. The host was kind and friendly. Try the sheep’s milk cheese - what a treat!"

Basic site but it was well kept and serene surroundings. Nothing to do so more a place to land for the evening . I suggest getting there before dark bc it might be difficult to find plus you'd miss the sunset which is wonderful. You can hear hwy 84 but it's background. The wind through the corn was what we heard most through the night

We stayed at peepler campsite in our 24’ trailer and it worked out great for us. It was quiet. The road noise in the far distance sounded a bit like the ocean so it actually added to the atmosphere. We sat outside in the evenings in a sea of hay, and enjoyed the stars! Thanks for sharing your place Russell!

This washout first Hipcamp experience. We decide to stay at this location on our way to Idaho to break up our drive. The location is easy to find and very quiet with the only sounds of coyotes at night. The owners dog was quick to greet us and played with our dog. He was so nice he played next to our trailer for most of the night and kept the coyotes up on the hill all night long. Jarrod was a great host and made sure to say hello to us after we arrived and to make sure everything was good and offer any help. He also stopped by in the morning to tell us goodbye. There is zero cell service at this location so if you need to contact Jarrod prior to arrival make sure you do so before you get near hos place. once connected to WIFI there everything was good to go. the water,power, and sewer hookup were good and reliable. if you are going to use the sewer you may want to make sure you bring an extra long hose or hook 2 together. All in all I would recommend this location to anyone and will stay here again in the future.

Great spot!!! It's in the shade and easy to access!! We will stay again when we are in the area, if it's available. Too bad there isn't a 30 amp plug, but we just used our generator to run our AC. We would pay more for that option.

The Peebler camp worked perfect for us for a 2 night stay during the Pendleton Whisky Festival. It was pretty much exactly what we expected and worked great overall. Only suggestions would be, maybe 5 minutes with a weed eater to knock down the thorny weeds around the shade shelter and maybe a little fine tuning of the gravel at the entrance/exit. We did have a jack stand on our trailer get bent pretty bad due to the gravel at the entrance being too high. Just future info for others. We would still stay here again.

A peaceful and pretty private camping spot with pleasant countryside views. The grass had come to seed and was a bit sharp for our dogs but we were able to walk them down the gravel road and they very much enjoyed that. It was close to the highway but we could not hear anything and had amazing views of the stars at night. We would definitely recommend the site to those seeking privacy and big sky views. Thank you for the lovely stay!

We didn’t quite know what to expect when we visited Terrys farm, but we immediately fell in love with the place and with Terry. We got to milk sheep, eat some incredible homemade ice cream, pet the cute farm dogs and sleep under the stars. This was truly a 10/10 experience and we can’t wait to come back with our friends!
