Enjoy this quiet and private forest setting just outside Florence but still close to all the fun. Only 5 minutes to get to the Oregon dunes, beach, Old Town, grocery store, coffee shop, and lakes. Available to rent is a fully furnished 24ft yurt which is beyond "glamping" with all the comforts of a home. It has an attached full bath, queen bed and "XL" size bunk cots, kitchenette, couches, TV, WI-FI, covered deck, firepit and more. Also to rent is a campsite with picnic table, firepit, portable toilet, tent space and gravel drive. Bring own water and pack out all waste. Also a grass field with corn hole and a rope swing to play. (Host home is on site. Your campsite is your private space but outdoor space in general may be shared with host family. Rustic tent and hammock camping on 20 private forested acres, just half a mile from the Pacific Ocean. It’s peaceful, wild, and surprisingly close to Yachats. You’ll fall asleep to ocean waves, not generators. This isn’t a tourist campground. It’s our home. We’re opening a few of our favorite spots to people who appreciate quiet, nature, and thoughtful presence. Our campsites were built for our family, not mass use. If you like forest stillness and a touch of wildness, you’ll probably love it here. If you’re looking for drive-in glamping with full facilities, this probably isn’t your spot. What to expect: • Walk-in campsites (5 minutes or less from parking) • No RVs, trailers, or car camping • No water, power, or trash service: pack everything out • Shared outhouse: use for bodily waste only! • Optional outdoor shower ($10/person) by request. It's attached to our home and rustic (some love it, others skip it - or wish they’d brought a bathing suit.) • Guided check-in required between 4–7 PM. No arrivals after 8 PM • All communication via Hipcamp messages - no text messages • One check-in per group. If arriving in two vehicles, coordinate timing or walk your party in You’ll park near our greenhouse and home, where you may see chickens, a kiddo on the play structure, or hear a tractor. Campsites are deeper in the woods and often feel totally private. A seasonal creek flows nearby. Depending on the time of year, you might spot wild mushrooms, huckleberries, and more. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, including a short stretch along Highway 101. It’s walkable but may feel exposed to some. Yachats, the 804 Trail, and Cape Perpetua are all nearby. This land once held a WWI-era spruce logging camp. We’ve lived here since 2013, slowly transforming bramble into trails, gardens, and space to grow. Our son is a cancer survivor, and our connection to this land runs deep. We’re not a commercial farm - we’re a family practicing stewardship, slow living, and welcoming guests who do the same. We love hosting quiet campers, nature lovers, foragers, backwoods hikers, and families who understand personal space and come prepared. If that’s you, you’ll feel right at home.

The access is super close to the 101, although you will hear traffic on a busy night. The 4-legged camp-host was friendly and checked on us a couple times quietly (Neeka!). The neighbor's dog was the loud one. Very private. Flat parking spot, and flat spot for tent. Tent spot was too close to firepit, but we weren't going to use it. So nice to have a picnic table! There was a clean porta-potty.

Highly recommend this clean, well maintained camping spot. With only 3 sites it is peaceful and quiet. Owner is friendly and brought us flowers and fruit. Perfect spot to explore Elkton and the coast. Large sites and lots of shade. Beautiful creek a few steps away with wildlife.

We had a nice large campground to enjoy for the weekend, there are lots of yummy huckleberries to enjoy and there are many forest critters; small bunnies, chipmunks, raccoons, birds. It is a wonderful place for a retreat. My husband and two small children found it very quiet and the campground was very well kept, and the outhouse was very close.

The location to beaches, lakes, and town can't be beat. Great local recommendations as well! The yurt is very homey complete with kitchen essentials such as full-size fridge, 2-burner hot plate, We had duck eggs each morning, and loved hearing the ducks quacking and watching them bathe. We loved looking up to the sky at night from the yurt!

We are so grateful to Janine and her family for letting our pretty large family rent out her yurt and campsite. We loved the ducks greeting us upon our arrival, which she let the little ones feed. Her dog was also a big hit! The cozy yurt had everything we could need or want. The rain coming down on the yurt roof was magical sounding. We loved hanging around the campfire, Janine sells firewood which was super convenient. We made such great memories here and would recommend to anyone who wants to experience glamping close to town! Hello fellow campers! If you are looking for a beach town getaway this is your spot. This location is very close to other major Oregon beaches along with a scenic drive through the coast. The sites were all very lovely but the host were very accommodating, and helpful. This location is saved in my memory as it healed my heart hearing waves crash and rain drops through out the night. Thank you again for your hospitality and sharing your safe place.
