THE SPACE The 20' Pheasant Creek Yurt is completely yours during your stay. Bathroom area in the main house may be shared.
For the yurt, there is a queen futon for sitting or sleeping, a double futon bunk/couch with a twin above, dining table with chairs, sink and counter space with toaster/convection oven, mini-fridge, dishes and cutlery, coffee pot, rocking chair, wood stove, and other amenities.
Your stay will also include space for 2 cars, access to the charcoal grill, deck seating, and access to pasture, creek, and forest to wander.
We are located 15 miles from King Estate and other local wineries, 15 miles from the Covered Bridge Scenic Bikeway, 45 miles from Eugene, and 2 hours from the coast, the mountains, and Portland. While the location is quiet and secluded, we are still an easy 5 minutes to I-5.
Yurt door is usually left unlocked, and we have not had any security issues. Upon request, we can provide guests with a key during their stay.
Unfortunately these accommodations are not ADA-accessible at this time.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE People from all backgrounds are welcome, but hate has no home here. Please respect our neighbors - we tend to wave to each other while in the neighborhood.
Other residents at this property include: 4 dogs (Duffy and Hamish, Leia and Suleyman), a flock of Romney sheep, 12 hens, 1 donkey (Gracie), 2 potbelly pigs (Hamlet and Pig), 3 cats (Apollo, Minerva, Zelda, and Opal), and multiple geese. Farm access is available upon instruction (proper gate security is a must!)
Unfortunately pets are not allowed at this time because of the animals.

Film buffs may recognize local spots from Buster Keaton’s The General, Stand By Me, and Animal House. You’ll also find nearby farms, breweries, and vineyards offering tours and tastings.
We are cannabis-friendly and ask that guests use responsibly.

The creek is shallow in most places, clear and cool, with smooth stones along the bottom. In one bend it widens into a natural swimming hole that stays refreshing through the heat of summer. The location to beaches, lakes, and town can't be beat. Great local recommendations as well! The yurt is very homey complete with kitchen essentials such as full-size fridge, 2-burner hot plate, We had duck eggs each morning, and loved hearing the ducks quacking and watching them bathe. We loved looking up to the sky at night from the yurt!

We are so grateful to Janine and her family for letting our pretty large family rent out her yurt and campsite. We loved the ducks greeting us upon our arrival, which she let the little ones feed. Her dog was also a big hit! The cozy yurt had everything we could need or want. The rain coming down on the yurt roof was magical sounding. We loved hanging around the campfire, Janine sells firewood which was super convenient. We made such great memories here and would recommend to anyone who wants to experience glamping close to town! Weekend Trip to Burgess Backyard
This was our first yurt and it was the best experience, so inviting and cozy. We felt so safe and secured, it was quiet from outside noises, and had everything we would need. I’m so jealous of Janine’s gorgeous lot, beautiful pets, fun swing, and cool roof of the yurt! Would for sure love to come back with a bigger group, it was right by the Lake, sand dunes, and sweet creek trails. This place checked all my boxes for sure when searching for glamping.

The host, Samantha was very welcoming and helpful. It was just my granddaughter and I and she loved visiting the animals especially the chickens and the donkey. The yurt had everything we needed and more. The night sky was a highlight for me. I’d like to return in the fall with a grandson.

Loved staying in this charming, well maintained yurt. The private composting toilet is close by connected by the deck. The outdoor shower is warm & welcoming. There is a cottage 100ft or so away, but it is still very quiet & peaceful. Rope lights illuminate the deck and add to the charm. There is even a mini fridge. A neighboring rooster gives a wake up call.

My family of 4 loved staying in the yurt! The yurt alone was well kept and comfortable. It is attached to the house by a door that locks on both sides. It feels private and has a full private bathroom attached between the house and the yurt. The entire property is fun for children. I have a 10yo, 9yo and 5yo. They romped in the forest, built forts in the rain and enjoyed spending time with the host family. The host family went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. We enjoyed the fire-pit for s’mores and family friendly animals. We were close to the ocean, sand dunes, old town Florence, a beautiful lighthouse, etc. Eugene is an hour away for a day trip. We highly recommend staying here!

Me and my family were on a trip to the oregon coast to visit family. I wanted to try something different than a regular hotel, mainly because we had a real bad experience in a hotel on the
coast the last time. We thought Janine's yurt look fun and cozy. One of the nicest things was that we were both super close to Florence, while also being tucked away in a beautiful forest. We went on a trip with my youngest daughter who really enjoyed meeting Janine's kids, and her ducks. Me and my wife's enjoyed checking out the beautiful property. The yurt itself was what we were expecting, a comfy little place that felt like camping, while also giving us homely amenities. As mentioned before, it was a great base camp to be able to explore Florence and the surrounding area. We really had a good time and look forward to being able to come back in the summer!
