We live in a beautiful location! The main attraction is the outdoors. The large Ponderosa pines and oak trees surrounding the safari tent fill the air with a scent that some say smells like vanilla. Birds chirp, deer graze, and squirrels gather food throughout the day. Sit on the porch and watch it all happen—it truly is relaxing!
I want to mention that the stargazing here is amazing! Simply press the power button on the back of the solar panel to turn off the lights for a better view of the night sky. Please turn them back on when you're finished, if you remember.
Be sure to visit Goldendale Observatory. It boasts one of the largest public telescopes in the nation, and admission is free.

The property is located on 20 private wooded acres. There are 10 sites on the property. You are welcome to walk around the acreage, but please be respectful of other guests and their campsites. The property is fully fenced, and the only way in and out is through the front entrance at this time.

I needed place to take my son for the weekend, this location worked out well. The hosts are friendly and eager to make sure you have a smooth, easy trip. I was there just one night, but given the availabile facilities, a week would be easy. If you have a telescope, bring it! The night sky there is incredible. It dropped to 48F the night we were there, we brought cold weather sleeping bags but the comfy bed had sufficient bedding to keep you warm.

Weekend Trip to B&B Treehouse Ranch
A little slice of heaven. It’s a rare gem, peaceful, clean, comfortable, and private treehouse in a beautiful nature setting. Fell asleep while listening to the crickets orchestra and waking up to a beautiful sunrise. Wildlife was abundant, saw many wild turkeys and hardworking woodpeckers.
Excellent communication with the host, from start to finish. The directions to the property were easy to follow. Hope to visit again in the near future.

The Stargazer’s Hideaway cabin was the perfect place for my husband and I’s anniversary! It was private and the view of the stars at night was breathtaking! We absolutely loved our stay at the A-frame cottage! Andrea was such a warm and welcoming host and made us feel right at home.
We came specifically to watch the meteor shower, and it was the perfect spot. We especially loved that one side of the A-frame opens completely to the elements—it made the experience feel so connected to nature and was incredible for stargazing. At night, the white lights added such a magical touch.
Every little detail was thoughtfully provided, from the incredibly comfortable bedding and towels to plates, utensils, water, bug spray, lanterns, a fire pit, and a Blackstone for cooking. We also loved the record player! The curtains along the open side were a great touch for blocking the morning light when we wanted to sleep in.
It’s truly the perfect place to pack your bag and cooler, unplug, relax, and enjoy the outdoors. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!

2 nights at B&B Treehouse Ranch
Wow! What a whimsical experience for 2 old folks who are kids at heart. We came up to Goldendale to stargaze and the treehouse seemed like the perfect place to be. We watched the Perseids Meteor shower from the deck and the parking area. When the smoke from Oregon's wildfires started to creep into the area on our last night, we were glad to have the AC unit, so we could close the windows and play a brutal indoor Yahtzee competition. Having the flushing toilet on the main floor and outside was a treat! What a view! The outdoor shower made the experience rustic yet charming.
Everything you need is provided for a simple and fun trip, e.g. towels, games, coffee maker, grill, plates, etc. Thank you for this experience!

What a wonderful stay! The treehouse was absolutely beautiful and set in such a peaceful, gorgeous setting. It was very well appointed, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into creating this special place.

Remote fun getaway to a super cool treehouse. A lot of detailed work and design went into building this fun structure. Not a lot of room for your luggage inside unless you leave it on the deck or bring a small backpack with what you need. The basics are there for the kitchen with coffee, tea, sugar, fridge, etc. It’s a bit of a short dirt road drive with switchbacks to get to this location, which I’m sure has fantastic views but we were there with all the fires. I’m sure the stargazing is fantastic when smoke is not present.
Place came with an air conditioner, so we were comfortable despite the high outdoor heat. The shower did work, but I needed to get some tech support from the owner. We enjoyed it very much.

Weekend Trip to Starlit Glamping LLC
I booked this spot by accident not realizing that Hipcamp had gone outside my search radius - BUT I’m glad it worked out that way. This was a last minute booking for my sister’s birthday weekend. The site felt very private even with some cars driving down the road and other booked sites in the vicinity. The cabin is absolutely ADORABLE! As a big Pendleton wool fan, I loved all the touches and wool blanket provided. The blackstone griddle/burner and firebowl were easy to use but we appreciated the written instructions and tips left by the hosts. Portapotty was very clean and we appreciated the metal trash can with lid for all the food stuffs. We did encounter some hornets once we started cooking up meat but not before then and not too many. Eating with the firebowl turned on totally kept them away. My favorite part was the hammock! Sitting there in the sun with my book made my entire summer - it was everything I didn't know I needed ❤️ This weekend getaway was 10 out of 10. My sister and I both left feeling decompressed and wishing we could’ve had a couple more days. Bonus points for this site being pet friendly as my sister was able to bring her doggie too. I would 100% come back here!
