My location is about 8 miles due west of the little town of Caney, Oklahoma. I’m very rural, no close neighbors, 19 acres of pasture and woods. Plenty of places to park, one area is back in the woods a bit with water and 50 amp service, others strictly boondocking. There’s not much “close” to me but I’m kind of centrally located between Atoka, Texoma and McGee lakes. Boggy depot state park and Fort Washita is close by and south of me is the Choctaw Casino. It’s very quiet and no nighttime lights so there’s an awesome night sky.
Please check out the map I've included in my photos for precise directions. The last 2.5 miles to get to my house is by gravel road and my entrance may be a bit difficult to spot but my name and address is on the big black mailbox. Just turn in and cross the cattle guard and go through the driveway into the open field. Parking is on the north side of the drive along the tree line or back in the woods. Don’t hesitate to contact me directly for directions. If you follow my guidance, you should have no problem finding me or turning into my drive.
Pets are welcome but I suggest they remain on a leash if you’re around my house or other campers and please clean up after them. The open field around my house is not always mowed because my neighbor cuts the hay and I like the spring wildflowers. I try to keep a walking path around my place but I travel too so at times it may not be well maintained. Since I do travel a lot, I may not be home when you arrive. Please make yourself at home and leave the place as you found it. Thank you!

EXPLORING LAKE TEXOMA
At Lake Texoma, on the Oklahoma-Texas border, you'll find plenty of activities to enjoy, especially watersports. The lake has plenty of shoreline, where you can swim. And fishing at the lake is excellent. Expect to find largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, catfish, and bluegills. If you're interested in paddling on the lake, keep in mind that we offer kayak and paddleboard rentals.

Outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds will enjoy a visit to Lake Texoma, with over 90,000 acres of land, and 89,000 acres of water to explore. The park is known as the “Playground of the Southwest" (so much to do!), and the “Striper Capital of the World" (awesome striped bass fishing!). Equestrians can enjoy 40 miles of trails, and hikers can check out one of the many trails along the shoreline and through woodlands. You might like the 15-mile Cross Timbers Trail. It’s a moderately difficult hike, but the views are definitely worth it! Campers can choose from more than 1,000 campsites, ranging from primitive to full hookup RV sites, so take your pick! I loved fishing on Susan’s land. Beautiful day in late December, caught lots of fish. Spend the day kayaking around looking for the ultimate big bass. Finally, caught the big one right before I packed up. My two dogs had the best time running and swimming for hours. I was able to meet Susan and her husband, super nice people. I would highly recommend this place.

This was our third time camping at 4R, and it’s honestly becoming one of our favorite traditions. The campgrounds are always clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. My kids love exploring the area — hiking the trails, walking the hills, and finding new little spots each time we come.
Evenings are our favorite part. Sitting around the campfire, making s’mores, and playing games in the tent once the sun goes down always ends up being the highlight of the trip. It’s such a great mix of quiet, nature, and time together without distractions.
Every visit has been consistently great, and this one was no different. If you’re looking for an easy, kid-friendly camping spot with gorgeous views, space to explore, and a warm, relaxing atmosphere, 4R Ranch is hard to beat. We’ll definitely be back.
