Calvary Rock East

1 site · RV, Tent2 acres · Antlers, OK
Welcome to Bigfoot Country! This quiet camping spot is located in a private 10,000 acre peaceful wilderness with OHV trails, fishing, and camping. Past the gates you'll arrive in a tight knit Oklahoma community with a volunteer fire department. The good folks of Kiamichi look out for one another so make sure to wave, they'll appreciate it! Enjoy the 14 mile drive past the hustle and bustle of families that come out to enjoy a weekend together, crossing two creeks, beautiful hills and views, and finally past Pappy's lake with access to fishing. Calvary Rock East is the actual title name on the deed for this 2.5 acre retreat, tucked into pine trees perfect for your hammocks. Currently this is strictly an off-grid, dry-docking property. We are a pet friendly campsite, but with miles and miles of forest, you'll want to keep them close and safe. You may hear the occasional family of OHV's and ATV's enjoying the trails. You can bring yours too! The roads are graded through out the year, but sometimes recent storms can create some damage, so a higher clearance vehicle such as a truck, Suv, or crossover is highly recommended. As always, we will ensure you have the most up-to-date weather conditions prior to your stay. We hope you find a relaxing time by the fire, or gazing at the stars. Enjoy your adventure!

Bill's Place

10 sites · RVs, Tents135 acres · Bennington, OK
This property has been in my family for 5 generations.  There was a house and a cabin on it at one time, but now it just has the old cemetery and a small corral.  The cemetery is notable, it being the final resting place of Wilson N. Jones (1827-1901), principal chief of the Choctaw Nation.  Learn more about this land:Have a great stay. This is the first time my folks have let anyone stay on the farm. So please be respectful of the land. No trash/litter. You can see the stars at night in a way that is impossible in the cities. It’s really worth the drive. Perhaps bring a telescope! There are the remnants of long gone houses and a worn out barn. Interesting to look at. But be careful, your car might get stuck unless it has 4x4. There is a creek that runs along the backside to the South of the property. Sometimes it has water, sometimes not, depends on how much rain we’re getting. We only allow one camping party at a time, this ensures you get to enjoy the property undisturbed. It is primitive camping, no services, no facilities. Bring in everything you need, take out everything you brought.
