McKee Farm is rich in memories and rich in history. It has been in the family for over 150 years and we were told that it was one of stopping points for the underground railroad. The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns. Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. Built using recycled electric poles, Tullihas in the Trees has a deck perfect for hammocking, an interior dressed with windows so that guests can feel as if they are living amongst the trees, and two small lofts ideal for a restful night's sleep. Oxley in the Woods is our newest treehouse cabin. Nestled in the woods with a view of the sunset, the lovely A Frame is filled with lovely woodwork, vintage parquet flooring, and private wooded views. The deck is huge! We've had guests set up a tent on the deck beside the treehouse for fun! Swings, and a slide make the Oxley a fun adventure. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy. The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time. Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table. Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. Tullihas in the Trees provides a perfect remote and rustic getaway for anyone. In October and November, access to hiking is limited.

We charge by the carload & there are different rates for driving back toward the woods for camping depending on the number of wheels & the weight of your vehicle (a factor on the wear & tear on the land). We believe in going outside to play, growing & eating fresh food, strengthening family bonds and promoting the awareness of our natural resources. In a few short years, Lyle Farms grew by two beautiful babies, nearly 100 laying hens, a herd of Registered Hereford Cattle, Sassy, the mule, a couple guard dogs and several mouse-killing machines. When we embarked on this adventure of creating our own homestead, we had a goal of being able to offer our neighbors fresh, local products. We never imagined receiving this amount of support. We are so very grateful and thankful for each of you who has stopped to check out our Farm Stand. We charge by the carload & there are different rates for driving back toward the woods for camping depending on the number of wheels & the weight of your vehicle (a factor on the wear & tear on the land). Beautiful wooded lot sandwiched between a bike trail and a creek. Each space included a fire ring, and a nearby latrine was available for use. This is an excellent place if you are looking to camp and have things to do. The host mentioned the creek is high enough to canoe or kayak in the spring. You can also enjoy access to the bike trail right from the site, and the Hopewell earthworks are within a short driving distance. The hosts were on-site when we arrived and were very friendly and helpful. Firewood is also available for purchase right there on the spot. There are also multiple sites located around a common area, making it ideal for large groups. Overall, my sister and I enjoyed our stay.

Our long weekend at GloryField Hospitality Farm in South Charleston, Ohio was nothing short of magical. From the moment we pulled into the spacious RV pad with our 40-ft Class A, we knew we had found a hidden gem—so much better than the crowded state parks. The level, gravel site overlooks the wetland pond and is well maintained, featuring full hookups (electric, water, and sewer), a picnic table, and a fire ring with convenient access to firewood. The site has good water pressure and well positioned connections relative to the pad. WiFi is available, but plan on using cellular or satellite if you need faster speeds for streaming or VPN. The catch-and-release pond located in a secluded corner of the property was a highlight of the trip. We caught several largemouth bass and crappie. We spent time just relaxing in the benches, listening to the birds chirping and the wind blowing through the fall corn. Kimberly, the host and owner of GloryField, was warm, welcoming, and full of local knowledge, she made us feel right at home—even inviting the family to experience a unique farm experience. If you’re looking for a place to get away into the heart of Ohio, add Gloryfield Hospitality Farm to your list!

Had a great time at this farm for a weekend camping trip. Friendly and helpful hosts! They provided some extra firewood, fresh eggs, and plenty of space! Plenty of land to explore with chickens and cows on the property. Easy RV hookup and some flat spots for tents. The provided bathroom and shower was clean and sufficient. It's a mini-container unit. Plenty of room for an RV with easy hookup and no issues! Some of the trails weren't mowed recently so the grass was long, John Bryan State Park and Indian Mound are both close by for some good hiking and exploring. The house on the property had guests, and one night there were yurt campers -- but still no issues with privacy or space. The yurts are REALLY far away and you wouldn't even know they were there if you weren't told, and the house if far enough away that space is not an issue.

I absolutely loved staying at McKee farm. It was peaceful and beautiful and exactly what I needed! The hostess was so kind and flexible, even offing me a choice of alternative sites when there was farm work happening near my original one. My city dogs especially loved having free rein to run as long and far as they wanted and devour all the new smells. It was very hot during the day when I visited; however, I would definitely return in cooler weather and the stargazing and sunsets can be beat!

Sarah is a fabulous host! Super helpful to me with some details and questions I had. Very responsive to my texts before and during the trip. Her land really is lovely. You can see the stars through the tree tops, birds are all over the place, including bald eagles along the creek. Having the bicycle/walking path right next door was fabulous...that's where I saw the huge eagle in a tree. On weekday mornings you may hear a few large trucks heading out early. Other than that, not a lot of traffic noise. When things re-open in the Spring, I would highly recommend checking it out. When we were there the creek was quite low and the campsite had been a bit bruised by heavy machinery. Nature recovers. Thank you again, Sarah! Note: there are several verbal dogs nearby who were active during the nighttime hours. If you're a super light sleeper, perhaps this isn't the place for you.
