We host many visitors including tours and events. An on farm market is available to visitors for purchase of our products including grass-fed beef, maple syrup, and fruits and vegetables. The cabin was built using wood from the farm. It has off-grid electricity meaning it is powered by batteries charged by solar panels. There is not sufficient power for devices with a heating element such as coffee makers and hair dryers. You may charge cell phones. For any other use, please check with the owner. Wild Life. There is an abundance of wildlife to be observed on the farm. RV Owners PLEASE READ to the end for directions. We are a private campground and wedding venue in the heart of Hocking County. We are located 9 miles from Laurelville, 16.4 miles from Logan, 17 miles from Lancaster, 19 miles from Circleville, where stores and dinning are abundant and easily accessible. The property is full of wildlife and magnificent views and rainbows galore, with minimal light pollution, our night sky's are spectacular. We are within a 30 minutes drive of all of Hocking Hills State Parks, Nature preserves and so much more. Hocking Hills features beautiful towering cliffs, thrilling waterfalls, and deep, hemlock-shaded gorges. With stunning ice formations in winter, wildflowers adorning the forest floor in springtime and vivid foliage in the fall, hikers and nature lovers have plenty to enjoy in this awe-inspiring area. Other local activities include, rock climbing, ziplining, ATV/UTV Rentals and tours, along with Canoe/Kayaking on the hocking river, horseback riding and so much more. Please message me on the morning of your stay with an ETA so I can make sure I'm here to great you. RVers if you are coming in from US Rte 33 please use Buena Vista Rd. Buena Vista Rd is one exit after Oppossum Hollow if you are heading East on 33 and also one exit pass 374 if you are heading West on 33. GPS will usually route you onto Oppossum Hollow Rd or State Rte 374. The State Rte 374 route will have you turn onto Oppossum Hollow. Oppossum Hollow road is a one lane unlined rd and is not the best for RVs. Taking Buena Vista Rd will only add about a mile and a few minutes to your trip. Be advised Buena Vista is a very curvey road but is traveled by large vehicles all the time. Just take it slow and you will be fine. We have a dully truck and 45 ft rig that we bring in and out just fine. If you are coming in from the South (Chillicothe area.) From State Rte 180, please take Jack Run Rd. This is also a paved two lane road. All other roads in the area are single lane rds and are not the best for RVs (don't use Middlefork, Long Run, Stump Run, or Clapper Hollow off of State Rte 180). Beautiful spot, only 15 minutes from Old Man’s Cave. Jimbos Burgers is a good spot for food only 5-6 minutes away. Spot 1 had plenty of trees for Hammock camping, and plenty of space for tents as well. The fire ring was perfect, and we felt safe in this spot! We definitely recommend and plan to be back :D

Weekend Trip to Woody Acres

A nice Hipcamp done exceptionally well. The Stargazer site is next to the owners driveway but don’t let that stop you. Their property is quiet and peaceful with well maintained walking trails and a great privy. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed talking with the owners and getting to visit with their cat. It was a perfect evening in a location with many parks in the area.

Weekend Trip to The Lake at the Flying J Farm

I've stayed at Flying J now 5+ times, and have stayed at sites 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The only one I wouldn't choose again is 3, as it's the site right in the open by the boat dock (as Richard clearly describes in the site profile). Site 1, 5, and 6 are all great sites in the woods. 1 and 5 have nice lake views, and 6 is up on a little bluff with farther views of the lake through the trees. Site 4 is the one you cannot drive to as it's across a small earthen dam. It's got more of an open view of the lake than sites 1, 5, and 6. Again, all the sites are great and Richard is an awesome host!

Weekend Trip to Geode Nature Domes

I had a lot of fun on this trip! The dome was nice and comfy even though there were a bit of ladybugs inside seeking warmth I assume. I didn’t mind either way because being in nature comes with the bugs. speaking of warmth, the heater kept us warm throughout the night even overheating us at points until we realized there was a temperature set on it. I’m very glad that accommodation was there for the cold. I do suggest getting there before it starts getting dark so you can get a fire going for light when nighttime comes. Even though the bathroom is a bit of walk (as expected with camping), it was a very nice bathroom and well kept. Definitely bring some flashlights or have your phone with you for light because there isn’t too much lighting provided outside except for some lamps and ground lights here and there along the trail to the dome. The area around the dome and the dome itself felt very private and secluded so it really made you feel immersed in nature. I saw some reviews saying all they heard were cars because it is next to a road, but the dome is up in the hills so there were barely cars driving by and I didn’t notice them. I also saw reviews saying the dome in right next to the owners home and it didn’t feel private. Even though I saw the home in the distance, They have fences built around the dome to ensure campers’ privacy. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and suggest it for anyone looking for a getaway. One night was a relief from our unnaturally busy lives!

3 nights at Ashcraft Hills

What a great place. So much to explore. I enjoyed it greatly. The cabin is cozy, and there are acres of privacy; the scenary is beautiful. There is plenty of space inside the cabin for people to walk around, get comfy, and eat a hearty meal. The upstairs has 2 beds that are at queen-sized. There are plenty of books and DVD movies, a wall-mounted TV, 2 big sofas (3 seat and 2 seat), a massive bean bag, and a dining table. The restroom includes a toilet, sink, bathtub shower, and a washer and dryer. The kitchen has a mini fridge with a freezer, dual sink, microwave, gas stove, coffee maker, toaster, and plenty of pots, pans, and dishware. There is plenty of heat to keep you warm in the wintertime. The place is very clean - vacuums included. Wi-fi and cell phone signals are not really accessable at the United Cabin but they are at the host's home property, which is a 3 min drive away. Nearby, there is a small pond, a cornfield, plenty of hills, and forests with trails. Thank you Michelle and PJ for sharing your Cabin with us.

Perfect place for car camping and exploring the Hocking Hills region! Had no problem getting to our site even with slightly balded tires and some mud. Lovely property with towering hills surrounding you. In early November there wasn’t much foliage and so you can see the house and the other campsites but we were the only ones so it was no problem. Great fire ring, picnic table, and a nice love seat rocking bench. Was able to get WiFi by walking up near the house and the property was peaceful without any commotion! Our animals loved it too and really wanted to explore the hills and trails.

We stayed at the A-frame this past weekend and absolutely loved it! The place was super clean and had literally everything we needed (we definitely overpacked 😅). There was plenty of firewood for us, which made hanging out by the fire so nice. PJ was awesome — super friendly, available if you need anything, and honestly willing to go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. When we arrived, a few lights weren’t working, and he was super concerned it might ruin our stay. He even offered to come fix them right away, but it really wasn’t an issue for us at all. We also loved that we could bring our dogs! They had the best time running around off leash and exploring. Cell service isn’t great out there, but honestly, that was exactly what we needed — the perfect little disconnect. This was our first time using the Hipcamp app, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. We’d 100% come back again!

This was a really peaceful and chill experience. We came out to get away from the city and it was a perfect little retreat. The stay was well accommodated and the dome tent was such a fresh and easy way to camp. Even though it rained, we stayed dry and the next day was lovely enough to enjoy some of the great natural hikes in the area.
