Several sites available on an organic blueberry farm near Oberlin College and Lake Erie. Blueberries are ripe in July. Site #2 is down by the Chance Creek, about 1/2 mile from the driveway. Very peaceful down there - a walk-in site. Site #1 is about 100 yards from the driveway, Site #1 also has access to a small shed. Both sites are woodsy and away from neighbors, roads and houses, however the interstate is not far. When the wind blows from the north you can barely hear it, but when a south wind blows and/or there is rain on the interstate, it can be pretty loud. We don't have a latrine. We have two "luggable-loo's" if you need them, have liners, too.

I started this 2 acre homestead earlier this year. It is home to myself, my three dogs, a couple ducks, turkeys, and a crap ton of chickens. I’m very close to all the creature comforts like Walmart and Target, but the property is wooded on three sides so you feel like you’ve gotten away from the city. There is a small creek my dogs love to play in and a large field for frisbee and star gazing. There are hikes close by at Little Turtle Pond and many restaurants within 10 minutes like Woodys, NauitiVine and Magic City Brewery. If you enjoy boating Nimistila Reservoir (electric only very kayak friendly) and Portage Lakes are a quick 12 minute drive. I look forward to meeting you soon!

With over 230 acres, a lake, trails, the Grand River, plenty of wildlife, and FREE firewood. Bass and Buck Adventures is the perfect place to get away. Once known as Parkman Gorge the valley was a hub for water powered industry in the early 1800's. The river and valley is home to a wide array of wildlife. Deer, turkey, eagles, hawks, owls, mink, river otters to name a few. The area also attracts many song birds including a wide variety of warblers. There is also an abundance of wild flowers. The valley is rich in Native American history. Many artifacts have been found on the property. My great grandfather talked about the last Native American to live in Parkman. He had a cabin on one of the bluffs along the river. In the 1820's there was a water powered sawmill, flaxseed mill, and forge on the river. The boy scouts used the valley for a camp in the 1920,s. My grandpa purchased the property in the 50's from Ohio Edison. Ohio Edison's plan to dam up the river for hydro power never materialized. The valley has been a favorite for outdoor enthusiasts. Camping, hiking, fishing, hunting. Many of the items used for the camp sites have been reclaimed. The fire rings are old tractor rims and scrap steel. The tent platform is from reclaimed deck lumber. The firewood is excess cutoffs purchased from a local sawmill.

Very private, fun location. I loved ax throwing and the provided firewood. There is a loud train nearby and the field is muddy so watch out if you don’t have 4wd. Great spot!

We had a great time at Nick’s campground! We had a nice space and no issues at all. The path to the campsites is a little rocky so if you have an older beat up car like us and are driving in the dark, be sure to be careful! There is a close active train track but we didn’t mind it much. Complimentary wine bottles in the outhouse from their local winery as a nice added touch! Would definitely go back!

Hot tent camped the weekend at Gary and Audrey's, Thornhill Bluff campsite with our 2 dogs! Short little walk to a secluded campsite at the top of the bluff. Along the trail are strung lights to help guide you back and light the site up! The site is large and accommodating for the space that I needed. (12ft diameter tipi hot tent, could definitely accommodate larger!) Fire ring at site and enough wood for anyone who stays. Two wood benches for seating at site. Bathroom is up at the house, but available at all times! Clean and a wonderful amenity to have! Absolutely beautiful views in any direction on the Bluff. We hiked along the bluff to check out the steep ravine that leads down to the Sand Run Metro Park. Took a couple rides down the Zipline in the back yard, where there are also trampolines, a private pond and some other fun amenities we haven't checked out yet! Our hosts were amazing, the camping was phenomenal, thank you Gary and Audrey!

I absolutely loved the area. Bo was very nice. The scenery and the camp sites were really cool. My only thing (which was kinda on me) was I was unable to get a fire started because I came in the wet season. But spring and summer would be a whole different experience! Would definitely come back!

We stayed at site 2, there was a tree blocking the path but it wasn't too hard to get around. There is a very active train track beside the site, which to us was very cool but to someone looking for a quiet site at night, or somewhere kids can run around without worry, it may be a concern. Access to the campsite was simple and the amenities were good!

Me and my friends like to camp quite a lot and have been to a decent amount of parks, but this spot has definitely been our favorite. Stayed for the weekend and celebrated a fall crafting camp themed around the change in fall season and the creatures that lurk. Our reservation was made for a group only a few days before our 4 night stay. Gary was very fast with communication and we were happy with the reservation. Gary accommodated us when we arrived a day earlier by mistake (inquired about Wednesday-Sunday night but accidentally booked Thursday-Sunday only). The bathroom is convenient and hot water was a game changer for camping. The property is beautiful, the zipline is an added bonus, and Gary was awesome!

We thoroughly enjoyed a weekend of camping on Nick’s farm. It was very private and we felt like we were away from others and it was also easy to access. Nick had plenty of firewood stocked for us at the site, so we were very grateful for that. We got to wake up to the sounds of pileated woodpeckers in the morning.

My partner and I have very different camping styles. I want to be in the forest far away from civilization, he wants...maybe just not camping? LOL! I chose this place because it seemed like a perfect compromise, and we both like train sounds.
Site 4 was very secluded, we actually didn't see anyone else the entire weekend, and I couldn't even tell where the other sites were! Very private feeling. Beyond the property you can hear noises; neighbors, machinery sometimes, and the road sounds. But when it's quieter times, it's gets very peaceful. Lovely creek! The train is frequent and we could see them across the field. Great host

Great night at Site #2, just a walk down into the forest and across the hill. Be ready to carry your gear from where you parked. Got to see some wildlife and sleep down by the stream. Would recommend, and check out the trails in the area.
