We have lived here since 2004, the blueberries have lived here for over 60 years. This site has more topography than most of the surrounding county. Site #2 is down by the Chance Creek, about 1/2 mile from the driveway. Very peaceful down there - a walk-in site. Site #1 is about 100 yards from the driveway, Site #1 also has access to a small shed. Both sites are woodsy and away from neighbors, roads and houses, however the interstate is not far. When the wind blows from the north you can barely hear it, but when a south wind blows and/or there is rain on the interstate, it can be pretty loud. We don't have a latrine. Once known as Parkman Gorge the valley was a hub for water powered industry in the early 1800's. The river and valley is home to a wide array of wildlife. The valley is rich in Native American history. Many artifacts have been found on the property. My great grandfather talked about the last Native American to live in Parkman. Weekend Trip to Thornhill Bluff

Hot tent camped the weekend at Gary and Audrey's, Thornhill Bluff campsite with our 2 dogs! Short little walk to a secluded campsite at the top of the bluff. Along the trail are strung lights to help guide you back and light the site up! The site is large and accommodating for the space that I needed. (12ft diameter tipi hot tent, could definitely accommodate larger!) Fire ring at site and enough wood for anyone who stays. Two wood benches for seating at site. Bathroom is up at the house, but available at all times! Clean and a wonderful amenity to have! Absolutely beautiful views in any direction on the Bluff. We hiked along the bluff to check out the steep ravine that leads down to the Sand Run Metro Park. Took a couple rides down the Zipline in the back yard, where there are also trampolines, a private pond and some other fun amenities we haven't checked out yet! Our hosts were amazing, the camping was phenomenal, thank you Gary and Audrey!

I absolutely loved the area. Bo was very nice. The scenery and the camp sites were really cool. My only thing (which was kinda on me) was I was unable to get a fire started because I came in the wet season. But spring and summer would be a whole different experience! Would definitely come back!

We stayed at site 2, there was a tree blocking the path but it wasn't too hard to get around. There is a very active train track beside the site, which to us was very cool but to someone looking for a quiet site at night, or somewhere kids can run around without worry, it may be a concern. Access to the campsite was simple and the amenities were good!

Everything was great, we very much so appreciate the opportunity to stay in a laid back private spot that genuinely feels like primitive camping. Me and my friends like to camp quite a lot and have been to a decent amount of parks, but this spot has definitely been our favorite. 3 nights at Thornhill Bluff

Stayed for the weekend and celebrated a fall crafting camp themed around the change in fall season and the creatures that lurk. Our reservation was made for a group only a few days before our 4 night stay. Gary was very fast with communication and we were happy with the reservation. Gary accommodated us when we arrived a day earlier by mistake (inquired about Wednesday-Sunday night but accidentally booked Thursday-Sunday only). The bathroom is convenient and hot water was a game changer for camping. The property is beautiful, the zipline is an added bonus, and Gary was awesome!

Nick had plenty of firewood stocked for us at the site, so we were very grateful for that. We got to wake up to the sounds of pileated woodpeckers in the morning.

My partner and I have very different camping styles. I want to be in the forest far away from civilization, he wants...maybe just not camping? LOL! I chose this place because it seemed like a perfect compromise, and we both like train sounds. Site 4 was very secluded, we actually didn't see anyone else the entire weekend, and I couldn't even tell where the other sites were! Very private feeling. Beyond the property you can hear noises; neighbors, machinery sometimes, and the road sounds. But when it's quieter times, it's gets very peaceful. Lovely creek! The train is frequent and we could see them across the field. Great host

Forge hill was perfect. It was easily accessible had a good fire ring and table. Rick provides firewood, which is very convenient. We caught many bass, bluegill, and catfish in the stocked lake. There are also kayaks, a canoe, and a paddle boat to get out on the water.
