This tiny (about 150 sq feet) eco cabin is nestled in the hills and hollows of Meigs County Ohio on 6.6 secluded acres of mostly wooded land on a private, dead end gravel lane. A superb place to bird watch, identify native plants and trees, and stargaze as the cabin is located in one of the darkest places in Ohio. Also on the property is a 16x20 camping/activities platform for your enjoyment. Our doors opened in September 2020 with the intention of creating a simple, yet functional and secluded space for individuals, couples, and groups to come together and enjoy the serenity of nature's beauty. We are one of Ohio's only openly clothing optional and naturist friendly rentals. You of course do not have to be naked during your visit, but it is a safe place to explore the naturist lifestyle if you've ever been curious! We're located about 25 minutes south of Athens, Ohio and are within 30 minutes of some of the best hiking in the state. Learn more about this land: Come get cozy in the private and secluded hills and hollows of Pomeroy, Ohio! Only 25 min south of Athens, but a world away from work, hurry, and distractions. Be prepared to walk and carry all of your belongings up a steep hill that is about 50 yards long. To access the queen bed in the loft, you will need to be able to assemble and hang up a ~40 wooden ladder to the loft. There is no outdoor lighting, so if you plan to arrive after dark, bring a bright flashlight or head lamp as you will not be able to see anything. The cabin is stocked with spices, teas, coffees, hot chocolate, and all you need to cook meals. There is a microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, and propane grill. Please DO NOT flush toilet paper. Great site for both tent and rv camping. We tent camped this time around. Plenty of dry firewood provided on site. The electric hookup had a 30amp to 15amp adapter for electrical needs and running water that tasted quite good too. Tranquility wildlife reserve is directly across the street - easy access. While the site is on a main road, the nights were quiet and traffic minimal. Mint mobile Cell service and still had signal.

Great site with lots of privacy. We enjoyed walking around all the trails on the property. Great setup with level, gravel pad to park on. We did not have to do any leveling. Lots of firewood to use. We enjoyed the little perks of the basketball hoop and axe throwing. We were fortunate enough to be there on a clear night that allowed for perfect stargazing. The surrounding countryside was beautiful adding to the experience. We definitely want to return.

Great spot! Many trails in the area. Fairly secluded. I think there is one other spot but we never saw or heard anyone. Right off the road but there is very little traffic if any. Seasoned firewood included. Looking forward to a return trip.

This campsite is perfect for a weekend getaway. The creek is one of the best we have been to, while there is a road that follows it the creek is beautiful! We fished using worms and caught over 20 in one day for 2 people (blue gill, small & large mouth bass). While the “outhouse” needs a little love, it works—we brought our own set up but it would work if you don’t have one. There is some road noise, but that doesn’t bother us.

Our family had an amazing stay at Jellystone Park in Nelsonville. We close to the caves, the kids had endless things to do, the floating obstacle course and bounce float at the take were so much fun. The and beach area is beautiful and the pool was phenomenal! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

It is a primitive campsite, so don't expect state park amenities, but you can expect privacy. You are only a few miles from Shawnee State Park if you want to take advantage of their activities. Tree coverage was mother nature's umbrella during heavy rains and the fishing and swimming were great. Getting to the campsite was a brief adventure, so you absolutely need 4 wheel drive. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The hosts were very friendly and hospitable as well and made sure that if we needed anything during our stay to let them know. We hope to return to this campsite in the future!

Tranquility Spring was one beautiful piece of property. My family and I camped there over a weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. We walked the trails and saw wildlife. Even had a once in a lifetime encounter with a baby deer. The place was super clean and the fire wood was excellently seasoned, with grill grates for the firerings, we cooked outside all weekend and it was awesome. With all the good I’ve mentioned, the only really complaint I can say is bring bug spray!

I echo what others are saying! This is a beautiful and peaceful spot with lots of well-maintained trails to explore! We checked out some trails at The Arc of Appalachia Chalet Nivale and it was beautiful! The ticks are bad in the meadows though so be sure to bring good bug repellent! We drove 35 min to Hillsboro and ate at The Porch which I highly recommend! You can’t beat the price for firewood, water, and electric! Will stay here again!
