We have records that date back to our 6th Great-Grandfather, Joab Fountain, who received a royal grant from the crown in 1773 for the property and then just a grist mill, blacksmith shop and old general store. The property was passed down through the Fountain family until the late 1910's. Originally a creek dammed up for the purpose of the mill it was later dug out in the late 1940's by Lee Baysden. The property also features 2 smaller ponds and surrounded by woods, swamp, and farmed fields, a total of 84 acres. Divided by Duplin and Onslow County line making it very unique! Chinquapin, NC The store/office is the original detached kitchen from his homeplace, which is the white house just up the street. We still use this today and it has Mr. Lee Baysden's handwriting in the store that states opened June 1956. The pond was owned and fished until the late 1990's. A hurricane damaged the dam and land was sold sometime after. The next owner dug the pond into the lake it is today and fixed the dam. In 2020 My husband Tyler, and I decided to buy the Pond Our camp office/store is opened most weekends or by check-in requests and fishing passes available 7 days a week online from sunrise-dark. Our lake features fishing for Bass, Crappie, Bream, Catfish, Bowfin, varieties of Panfish, and more. Weekend Trip to Cedar Creek Campground at Elease

Beautiful, private and somewhat enchanted. We felt such a sense of peace here. From the first contact with Mike, we knew it would be special. Large, private lots were scattered throughout the wooded area. Very well landscaped and looking forward to returning when everything is in bloom. Great place. Huge field with tins of open space. Nice neighbors. Adjoins another field with lots of different animals that my dog was amazed by. Heather stopped by to check on us and is very nice. I will definitely stay again.

We arrived 1 hour before sunset. Heather and Chris were attending to the animals, getting them ready for a cold night 30 degrees. It was amazing to see the variety of animals they have. Heather invited us into the coral where we got to meet and pet them. So much fun. They have a beautiful farm. We highly recommend their place!!

Me and my family absolutely loved camping out in Gracie’s land and will definitely be back soon. Everything was perfect, from the beautiful farm, to the great communication with Gracie which was very direct, fast, and accommodating. We also booked horse ride lesson, which we truly enjoyed, cam was a great instructor. Thank you Gracie…

Cute and quiet spot to camp. very peaceful and the hosts are very kind, warm, welcoming, and ready to answer questions. I would stay here again.

We had a 50-amp site on the pasture, but it might have been the only one. Quiet ranch with horse cattle and goats. Great communication with the host. We just needed a one night stop and it for the bill.

Monte and Tracy (and Woody of course) are wonderful hosts and you don’t leave there without establishing a long term friendship! 50amp, water and sewer hookups were all new and worked perfectly. They held an evening fire down at the wood pile where all the guests are welcome and encouraged to come, have a beer, relax and tell stories! Great nature walks to see beaver dams or other critters of the beautiful surrounding woodlands. Our dog Cali loved the nature walks! We will definitely come back to visit our new friends again!

The Long Horn cattle were very majestic animals, my boxer was obsessed with them. They were having horse riding lessons when we pulled up, another first for my dogs. We had a nice place to stay and even filled up our fresh water tank. The farm was beautiful and the sunset was amazing! I highly recommend staying here!

Excellent spot away from the city but not to far out of the way. Right on the water side made for excellent mornings sitting around the fire enjoying coffee and enjoying the view. The host was exceptional with everything from first meet and great to departure. If you want a quite relaxing weekend away I would highly recommend this spot.

Peace and quiet place to relax and fish for shiners. Plenty of firewood if you have a chainsaw. Plenty of flat ground for 10x10 tent. Shaded by the lake and sunny by the field.

Weekend Trip to Private Serene Camping

The site was lovely, but not as private as I’d hoped. I could see the neighbors, and hear everything from the neighboring campers on the other side of the barn. The property was beautiful. My dog really enjoyed walking around and seeing the donkeys and such. I never did locate the trail. If you pay extra for it, like I did, ask for specific directions for it.

Weekend Trip to The Pint Sized Pasture

Tent camping at The Pint Sized Pasture was a unique experience. We liked being able to take our dog off leash. We also really enjoyed the animals on the farm. A staff member brought out a few of the bunnies for us to hold and love on which was special. Walking around and getting close encounters with emu, alpacas and even Moses the Camel and a micro calf was special too. My kids loved the swings, giant sandbox and rolling barrel/track. There was a lot for them to do!
