Weekend Trip to Crockett Landing

We loved our stay at Crockett Landing! What a magical place and memories for our family. We loved campsite 5, it felt like a private island with plenty of room for our 8-person tent. We enjoyed walking the trails on the property, climbing up to the tree fort to stargaze at night, and campfires with s’mores. Paul was a gracious host and has created such a special place which respects the land, but provides nice amenities for a relaxed camping adventure.

Paul is incredibly hospitable! When we got there, we were the only people booked, so Paul let us have any campsite we wanted. He very kindly chopped some wood for us on the night we got there. We stayed at campsite #4, which included a great raise platform to tent on, which Paul built himself. Paul really has been building a fanstastic spot. The outdoor bathrooms and kitchen station were super appreciated. He had a bunch of free to use equipment, such as fishing poles and kayaks. Over all, fantastic stay. Beaufort is a great hidden spot of NC, I highly recommend this stay!

this is rare. a single slot. in a rural upscale place. Super high fence for your dog. 11 minutes from the nicest beach I’ve ever seen and I’m from SoCal. the spot is spartan but that isn’t even relevant. the campus is lovely, the beaches better and Wilmington an undiscovered gem, as is this spot. super nice college kids across the street were quite and cordial. been doing this for months and nicest most unique thing I’ve done was here

Absolutely an amazing fine so peaceful and beautiful. The wood deck was well kept up and the path was well marked and easy to find the site. Only problem was the path wasn't really cleared up but we had a really bad storm like two nights ago so it was OK. Paul was such a wonderful camp host and super friendly and let us explore the camp ground in the morning which was absolutely amazing!!!!!

3 nights at Live Oaks Farm

Great stay at Live Oaks Farm. We were provided with very detailed instructions on how to find the property which was helpful as we arrived after dark. Patrick met us upon arrival, helped guide us to the spot and even helped us hook up. The site was very quiet and peaceful, we had no issues at all. Plenty of space to walk pets, and there’s a frisbee golf course. Close drive to stores and the main highway. I would definitely stay here again.

We LOVED Charlotte’s place! We had a campout with friends under the stars and it was a beautiful full moon! We WILL be back! The land was clear and well-maintained, the bathroom was clean and well lit, there was pre-cut firewood for the burn pits, trails to walk and explore and so much more! Charlotte was a wonderful host! Cute mini-mule and goat! Was close to a convenience store & a cute hole-in-the-wall breakfast place! Great experience overall!

Weekend Trip to Charlotte's Whispering Pine Farm

We stayed at Charlotte’s Hipcamp for a night to celebrate a birthday with friends, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Right as we arrived, cute signage guided us to the campsite, and we were warmly greeted by Cupid the goat and Gilbert the mini mule – such a fun welcome! The entire property is beautifully landscaped and well-maintained, and our campsite backed up to Moore’s Creek Battlefield. Charlotte even gave us a quick and fascinating history lesson, which made us appreciate the location even more. The site was perfect for relaxing, with plenty of spots for hammocks, a swing area, and well-kept fire pits that made our evening by the fire memorable. The restroom facilities were spotless, which was a pleasant surprise. It’s clear the hosts put a lot of effort into making sure everything is clean and comfortable. Speaking of the hosts, Charlotte and Darrell went above and beyond, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. They’re incredibly friendly, down-to-earth, and truly made us feel at home. In the morning, we made a quick trip to Johnson’s Corner (just 5 minutes away) for fresh biscuits and drinks before heading back. It was a great way to wrap up our stay. Overall, this was a fantastic experience – definitely a 12/10! We can’t wait to visit again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming camping spot.

15 beautiful acres on the North River in Beaufort, NC. Just off Highway 70 which is an Outer Banks Scenic Byway. Trails and private campsites throughout the property as well as a large communal deck (The Landing) by the river for gatherings and multiple observations areas to observe and enjoy the wildlife throughout the property. Bathhouses for guests and well water throughout property. Fishing, hiking, boating, kayaking, etc on the property. Atlantic Beach and Morehead City only 20 minutes away. Close to several stores and gas stations as well as countless fishing spots and about 7 miles to the end of Hawkers Island Rd where you can catch the ferry to Cape Lookout. Crockett Landing is a haven and sanctuary for wildlife and those who want to connect with nature and have a good time. There is a tote at the Cafe Blue full of games like badminton, volleyball, frisbees, wiffle ball, corn hole, paddle ball etc. The Cafe is an outdoor kitchen for guests to use as they like. Propane grill and stove available including dishware and pots and pans.

Lake Linda

Lake Linda is a private 6 acre lake that's located on our family's 40 acre property. We are just 5 minutes from Surf City, Topsail Island, and 20 minutes from both Wilmington and Jacksonville. You'll often see ducks and geese on the lake. Lake Linda is a peaceful place, but conveniently located within a few minutes of food, entertainment, and of course some beautiful beaches. On the back half of the property, we also have a small family farm. Pasture raised pigs, chickens, cows, sheep, goats and we even a have a couple of turkeys! We sell farm fresh eggs as well as poultry, beef, and pork, all raised right here on our farm. Our pork & beef is USDA inspected and processed! We try to help our farm animals have a great life while they’re with us. We have two sites available by the lake! One site is on the corner of the lake by the dock. This lakeside site has a 30 amp service. This site does not have water or sewer, however we have 2 full bathrooms in our bathhouse, one even has a pet wash station! The bathhouse is only about 1000 feet away, and you’re welcome to walk or drive down to it! We can also help you fill your water tank and you’re welcome to dump in the full hook up site as long as there isn’t someone camping there. The second lake site has a beautiful view. This lake view site has 110 outlets as well as water. It does not have sewer hookup, but we have 2 full bathrooms in our bathhouse, one even has a pet wash station! The bathhouse is only about 1000 feet away, and you’re welcome to walk or drive down to it! You’re also welcome to dump in the full hook up site as long as there isn’t someone camping there. We also have 2 camper sites available on the farm, as well as a few tent sites. The farm is just a short walk from the lake, so no matter which you choose, you can enjoy the best of both! This is a working farm, we have cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, & turkeys! You’re welcome to meet & enjoy them! We even have a calf that was born here, and we have baby pigs regularly as well! We’ve also recently added a bath house, with two bathrooms. Both have stand up showers, and one even has a pet wash station! We have 2 gas grills on the property for your use as well! One is by the lake, the other is on the farm. We also place picnic tables at all sites before check in! You can also see what Lake Linda looks like in the winter by watching Season 8 Episode 6 of ABC's The Great Christmas Light Fight! During the holiday season, Lake Linda becomes a winter wonderland for all to enjoy! Lake Linda's Christmas Lights is a light display surrounding the Lake and synchronized to music. This is a completley fenced in, gate lot that has water, sewer, and power. Very close to UNCW, Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, Atlantic Ocean, shopping etc. The lot has a cement pad, fully gated, dog/pet friendly, and partially shaded. Surfing, fishing, beach going, dining are all close by. However you have total privacy. There is a live oak with lights in it that hangs over the fence from an adjacent Airbnb (8' Privacy Fence in between). The lights turn on for a few hours each night. The gate can be easily closed for total privacy or to let a pet run around.

We also offer a seasonal pumpkin patch and Christmas tree farm. You will usually see Patrick working around the property or in the wood workshop building furniture. His beautiful wife Brittany and their gorgeous kids Maddox and Everlee enjoying the outdoors as well.
