3 nights at Live Oaks Farm

We stayed at The Pond Site from 11/26–11/29 for Thanksgiving, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The property is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and felt like the perfect escape for a holiday weekend. Patrick, our host, was incredibly kind and welcoming. He made sure we had everything we needed while still giving us plenty of space to relax. The pond itself was gorgeous, and we loved waking up to the calm water each morning. The ducks were so fun to watch, and the nearby chickens added to the charm of the place—it felt like a little slice of countryside paradise. The site was clean, spacious, and easy to set up on, with plenty of room for cooking and relaxing. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back. Thanksgiving at The Pond was memorable and wonderfully peaceful.

Love this site. Secluded enough to be private. Host was fantastic. We had a great time here. Can't wait to come back in the winter. Definitely would recommend. Just be weary if you are using hammocks. Can be slightly difficult to set up a couple hammocks that would not be in the direct woods. We set ours up perfectly fine by the river but space is slightly limited on hammocks. This site has a lot of space for a tent or camper.

Excellent stay! Beautiful space, very peaceful, short drive to Wilmington. Lots of fun little trails to walk our dog, who had the BEST time. Beautiful goats. Host keeps to themselves while still being very welcoming and warm. The compostable toilet area is as described. The free fire wood is great but I'm very glad they accept donations, the wood kept us warm and entertained with fires for our entire stay so we were happy to give a little back. Would definitely stay again.

Had a wonderful time staying at the site by the creek. Huge site. Big sky views. Good star gazing. Nice and quiet while there. Went for a quick paddle on the creek a few times when the tide was up. Woke up early to catch beautiful sunrises over the nearby pond. Took a few walks around the property. Want to come again.

Had an amazing time on this beautiful property!! Fire pits available, spots for hammocks, clean bathroom, and wood onsite. It’s a pretty open area but there are little nooks you can go in for some privacy with plenty of trees between each area. Very cool and unique way of doing things! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you

Just stayed at Live Oaks Farm and it was wonderful! The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and the host was so pleasant and helpful. Access to local attractions and Topsail Island was incredibly convenient. A perfect peaceful getaway with easy access to everything. Highly recommend!

My wife and I loved it here. Site 5 was big enough for our two person tent. The cafe was useful to rinse off our dishes and the bath house was great for a quick hot shower during the cold October mornings.

My husband and I loved our stay at canter lakes! We loved waking up and drinking coffee overlooking the water and taking walks to go look at the horses. The property was clean and well maintained. The bathroom and shower were also very clean and a great feature to have while camping. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to have a cute camping getaway.

We were staying at this site for 1 night on a last minute weekend getaway. The site was clean and exactly what we expected. Great for fishing and such an amazing view! We ended up extending our stay inter night because it was so peaceful and beautiful. Will definitely return.
