Had a great time camping at Green Acres. Very quiet with easy access to Hwy 17 and the Brunswick Beaches. Site 3 was very flat and settled in the back corner of the field. Tons of space made the campground feel very open. I will definitely be returning for more trips.

2 nights at Isla Mas Afuera

Scott is very friendly and welcoming. He had water ready for us and even treats for my dog! He gave us good recommendations to local restaurants and the best places to take the dog to the beach. The site felt private and had a compost toilet. We woke up to the noises of the rooster, but the animals on the property stayed to themselves and were cool to see. Overall we had a great stay.

Tons of room to set up a rooftop tent and campsite. We had a peaceful night of rest during our trip. My dog had a great time investigating the farm. Since it is a farm, expect farm animal noises at night and in the morning. Danny and his wife were very welcoming.

Weekend Trip to Laurel Oaks Estate

It was literal perfection from start to finish! It’s the sweetest area, so remote and quaint! All the wildlife; fishing, turkeys and everything that you can expect to come along in the Lowcountry! Besides the fact that it is the cutest set up, the bed was super comfy, they had all the essentials you could possibly think of. I will 100% be back! Thank you for a wonderful weekend far enough away to feel like I got away but close enough for emergencies!

4 nights at Tall Grass and Pines

This is the perfect spot to park and camp right outside of Myrtle Beach. It's right off the main highway, it's easy to get to and within 15 minutes you can be right in the middle of everything. You can't beat the price for the property. It's a beautiful, it's quiet and it's safe. I travel solo except my dog and I felt perfectly safe even sleeping with my van door open at night. The neighbors are very nice, you rarely see them but when they go by there friendly and they wave which also felt good knowing that they knew I was out there in case something happened but like I said I only saw them once or twice. There's a really cool crumbling old barn or farmhouse at the end of the dirt road which is really cool to look at and it happens to be right up the street from one of Myrtle Beach's hidden gem restaurants rad dews. It's a local barbecue place and there's Sunday lunch is fresh cooked barbecue and soul food it's a must for the area. It was a great place to walk my dog there's a dead end with a big field and there's also a small swamp the other way down the road and my dog liked watching the turtles jump in the water. There's rarely any cars so it was easy to walk the dog on the dirt road ...my dog loved it. There's a small general store up on the corner of the highway that is a perfect place to pick up groceries, a hot lunch and they have ice cream. And in Myrtle Beach you rarely get to see the stars because of all the lights but out here you could see everything.

Scott was super accommodating and helpful. We had an awesome time staying on his property! We had plenty of space and the kids loved that he has chickens on the property! He brought out a kids picnic table with a bunch of art supplies for the kids to play with as well. We will definitely hope his space is free next time we are in the area!

We really enjoyed our week-long stay here! From initial reservation process, site access info, and location, everything was great! Quiet area close to Conway/Myrtle Beach. Pond fishing, deer, turkeys, misc birdsong, private setting. If we're ever back this way, we hope to stay here again!

We are a full-time traveling family of three. During the last two and a half years on the road we've stayed at almost 100 locations. Laurel Oaks Estate is on our top ten list! The property is well thought out, clean, private, and relaxing. We look forward to visiting again while in the area. Bonus: Fresh chicken eggs can be purchased during your stay and the fishing is excellent! We caught quite a few fish in the front pond.

Weekend Trip to The Pine Tree Retreat

We had a great time on Joseph's land. The entrance off the main road was a little hard to find. We passed it twice, but then once we found the correct road, it was easy to get to the spot. Our Toyota Corolla handled it just fine. The spot is nicely secluded considering its right off a main road and only 20 minutes from town, which is great because there's a Walmart there that stays open pretty late and lots of other stores in case you forget something or need to do a #2😆. You cannot see any houses once you get to the spot. Our dog ran around non-stop the entire time we were there and she loved it. This spot was clean, accommodating, and convenient to get to. We only caught very small fish, but it was fun. We threw them back with hopes to visit again in a few months and catch them again once they are bigger. We really enjoyed it and hope to visit again in the future. Host was easy and efficient to communicate with. Thanks Joseph.

This was such a lovely, peaceful location. We had such a great stay. The hosts were very nice, everything was so clean, and it was so reasonably priced.

This is a great camping spot close to Myrtle Beach. Very nice concrete pad for the RV with full hookups. Very quiet spot and secure with a gate and keypad for only guests to get in.

My dog Frieda and I really enjoyed our stay at Scott's campsite. Scott welcomed us in and we set up camp for the night. There's a lot of room to pitch a tent and set up other necessities. It was a nice recluse from the busy streets. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area :)

Isla Mas Afuera

3.5 acre property, last remaining part of old inlet horse farm, with plenty of natural buffers from the few neighbors in our vicinity and between our camp sites, as well as the road. So close to everything the inlet area has to offer. Beaches, tidal inlet with boat ramps, Waccamaw River with boat ramps, restaurants, shops, bars, State Parks, nature preserves, fun attractions and much, much more, all just moments away. We are set up as a “primitive” camping experience, the property is kept very natural, unmanicured for the most part, little to no herbicides or insecticides used here. It’s a work in progress, is difficult for me to tackle chores due to physical disabilities, so some private areas are disorganized at this time. I live here full time, with two cats & 5 chickens whom are all free range. I live here in a double wide by myself, two outdoor cats. Deer, fox, rabbits, hawks and the like are common visitors. This is brand new to me, lots of improvements to be made in the future to make a guests stay even better, so for right now it’s bare bones. Can accommodate tents or certain campers. No pump out, no electricity or running water for “sites” yet, if ever, but running water is here and available for free. Additions to come soon: outdoor shower, available compost toilet available for rent while here, fresh herbs, vegetables, fresh local eggs, firewood, and covered gathering/ cooking area (not built yet) and much more, I’m really excited. Open to idea’s and options. No fireworks/ gunfire allowed at anytime, no “parties”, but gatherings, campfires, games and fun always welcome. I prefer meeting guests apon arrival to answer any questions and help all feel comfortable. I do have medical conditions that may prohibit it at times though.

The Pine Tree Retreat

Learn more about this land: 104 acres of private land for your enjoyment. This site would be best suited for tent campers at the moment due to no bath houses or electricity for the time being. Come enjoy your stay bring a kayak or canoe and float around the 6 acres of ponds and catch some of the many bass, bream or crappie that occupy the waters. The property is located 7 miles off highway 74/76 in Whiteville and 10 miles to Lake Waccamaw, 32 miles to Ocean Isle Beach, 45 miles to Wilmington, 36 miles to North Myrtle Beach. The road is gravel all the way to the camping area with signs for directions. When there’s no burn ban in place or lack of rain i do try to keep firewood on-site but I recommend checking with me before your stay. Reserve your spot and experience the peace and quiet of the outdoors and listen to the turkeys and watch the deer feed in early mornings while the sun rises. The Secret Sanctuary Farm is a co/op located on a portion of Prince George Creek that has a double Oxbow or hairpin turns in the creek. This unique feature prevented loggers from logging the property. As a result, there are many huge old-growth trees on the property as well as a variety of fauna and flora. A truly unique blend of farmland. Including an assortment of friendly animals to interact with. Woodland, wetlands, and a deep spring fed fresh water creek that connects to the Cape Fear River. This is a working farm. Please do not Open any gates to the animals. The fruits and vegetables on the farm are for the members of the farm. Eggs from our chickens will be provided for you to use for breakfast. If you happen to choose a campsite with a kitchen. There is a coffee pot and all cooking utensils. There are four permanent 4 shelters on the property. Composting toilets. Showers are still in the works. All of the shelters have their own composting toilets. Small propane heaters are available for each shelter. The first 1gallon bottle off propane is free with your stay. it will last 5-7 hrs. each additional bottles will cast $6.00 per bottle. There is also solar, powered lights, usb charging stations, fans, and air coolers. each Conestego hut has a locking front door to keep your belongings safe Campfires, hiking, canoeing and kayaking. Kayaks, canoes and lifejackets are available. All the Wilmington beaches are within 30 minutes.

Tall Grass and Pines

This property is unimproved and unmaintained raw natural land. The entire property is surrounded by a farm drainage ditch on all sides, with random farm drainage ditches to insure the land is dry and a 60’ x 60’ old farm irrigation pond (see satellite photo to know where the ditches are located). There is plenty of seasoned raw wood (from when the property was cleared 4 years ago) laying randomly throughout the property to cut and collect for a camp fire. The land is located off a dirt access road that is well maintained by the county. The county dirt road can provide for hours of peaceful riding via mountain bikes. Campers are more then welcome to cut their own path on the land for their campsite. There is a fire pit by the large tree when first entering the property at Entrance 2 (please see photos for the locations of Entrance 1 and 2). Note: This raw land is unmaintained and was last cleared 4 years ago, photos are from April 2022. Many years ago we learned that we cannot wait to "live our lives" when we reach "retirement" so we enjoy each day to the fullest. Some friends couldn't understand when we moved to southeast NC without any PLAN for our future. We are just happy to be alive each and every day that we are here. We made "someday" into "today" and we are happy to share the experience with you Learn more about this land: We are located in southeast NC, approximately 15-20 miles from area beaches. Our location is very "country" with lots of wildlife (deer, fox, rabbits, birds, etc...) roaming about. It is very quiet in the evenings and overnight. The campsite has a large paver stone patio and picnic table. We have a fire pit and when able we would be happy to host a night around the fire. We are pet friendly but request that dogs be on a leash or tie-out. We expect guests to pickup pet "litter". Campers are encouraged to use the swing and chairs set back under the pines. Also campers will find a guest book in the little library under the pine tree with a concrete bench nearby (you drive around in as you pull into the campsite). The book contains our WiFi password (service not guaranteed). Please leave us a note about your stay.
