Nero Coffee's Camping Spot has three ways to camp. Site 1: Glamping in my custom built (and way too adorable) mini A frame cabin. This cabin is tucked in the rhododendrons for complete privacy. Enjoy the super comfy bed and unique lifting side door to let the outdoors in :) or Site 2: Camping with room for up to 8 guests. There are multiple sites and so much room to spread out for groups up to 8 people. This year I am only opening tent camping for one group at a time so you can experience the mountains in the most peaceful setting. The upper camping area has plenty of flat areas for vans, cars, trucks and tents, and if you don't mind carrying our tent down the hill, the lower creekside camping area is THE PERFECT stargazing spot. There's plenty of room to set up any size tent down there, too. basically, You have the campground to make yourself totally at home. Site 3: Simple Car Camping Spot - Just want a spot to pull over camp for the night close toDuPont State Forest? We can make that happen. No tents allowed here, but it's a peaceful alternative to a cracker barrel parking lot. ----- Once you set up camp feel free to visit the Coffee Shed - It's a small shed on the property by the house that has everything you need to make a great cup of coffee. Coffee is always free. :) I have fire pits, tables an, if I am home, I have a super cute corgi that roams around the property throughout the day. If you spot me outside feel free to say hi or ask any questions about the area. I love helping guests find new places to explore. You will be about 8 minutes to DuPont State Forest (my favorite hiking and biking area) which has miles and miles of hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. The entrance to Pisgah National Forest is about 15 minutes away as well so it's a convenient drive to visit the forest and drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I also own a company that guides "coffee hikes" to local waterfalls in DuPont State forest. You can find more about that in the photo descriptions. :) Please note!! My road up to my driveway is steep and bumpy. It’s only 0.3 miles up but bumpy. You don't need four wheel drive but higher ground clearance is recommended. (I have had small cars make it up but it is a bit intimidating if you are not used to driving in the mountains). if you have a small car just go slow. :) ------- Larger group? Want an indoor bath and shower?? If you are planning a larger group camping retreat and want to book the entire campground (including the main house with indoor shower, restrooms, and full kitchen and spare bedroom) I can make that happen for $500 a night. It's honestly the perfect spot for private, group camping and glamping up to 15 people. Just send me your date request and I will share a link to book if your dates are available. My wife and I moved to the area, from Boone, in the spring of 2014. Our dream was to own a house, preferably a cabin, on top of a mountain with long range views and a gradual winding road to the top. Living in Boone, this dream was definitely out of reach. When we began our search for a new home in the Asheville area, we discovered that the more affordable homes were in fact on the mountains. Perfect! In general I always have a pretty positive outlook on what’s possible, however, I was skeptical that we would ever find our dream home. As Jeannie began her Zillow browsing adventures, one particular cabin with acreage, that was outside of our budget continued to pop up. Jeannie would delete it and then it would come back. At some point the price began to drop, and drop, and drop. On our way back into town one weekend after attending a wedding, I convinced Jeannie to drive by the cabin just because we had the time. Immediately we fell in love and reached out to our realtor buddy. It was more of a shot in the dark but it couldn’t hurt, right? We held our breath for the next month totally expecting someone to get it under contract before us or the sellers not accepting our offer. It had already been reduced significantly so we knew our chances of a lowball offer were slim. We offered the most that we could get a loan for. They accepted! I still get anxious thinking back to that month, October 2014. Many years and two children later, here we are, just as excited everyday to make the long trek up our mountain as we were that August of 2014, and now we are happy to offer a similar experience to you, without having to buy the place. Learn more about this land:   Pitch your tent in the grass on the tip top of the mountain or park your camper in the flat gravel spot with a fire pit just below the top with beautiful views overlooking Cane Creek.  In the fall and winter enjoy 360 degree views and in the summer enjoy the shade and cool breeze while relaxing & snacking on wild wine berries and black raspberries.   What you will not find is light pollution, traffic, and a desire to leave the mountain.  Fall asleep to the calls of the hoot owl and wake up to the knocking of the wood pecker.       If & when you decide to explore the area, be sure to checkout Hickory Nut Gap farm just 7.9 miles away & Whistle Hop Brewery 7.7 miles away.  Turgua brewery just down on Cane Creek road is only 6.2 miles from camp.  Cane Creek Valley Farm as well as the Cane Creek Community swimming pool is also at the base of camp just in case the kids need a dip of ice cream or a dip in the pool.  Justus Apple Orchard is only 10 miles down the mountain towards Hendersonville.  We love taking our kids there.      We are only 15 miles from downtown Asheville & Hendersonville, and 22 miles from Lake Lure. The small area kept under hand is managed with a permaculture approach to make as little disturbance as possible and to keep it protected for the wildlife around the area. The property has been chemical free for the past 20 years under Paradise Ridge; thus, it has plenty of wild edibles around for your pleasure. Mushrooms, weeds and added edibles for your experience. At the moment, we accept tents, hammocks, and the like for anyone to enjoy this little piece of paradise on Flat Top Mountain. We are located between Asheville and Chimney Rock. There is SO much the area has to offer; it is too much to list here. You can find great food, good beer, and lively music in either direction from Paradise Ridge. Or you can enjoy a simple quiet shared camp fire area. We are in the process of repairing fences, reseeding the pastures, and restructuring the hen house.

My wife and I moved to the area, from Boone, in the spring of 2014. Our dream was to own a house, preferably a cabin, on top of a mountain with long range views and a gradual winding road to the top. Living in Boone, this dream was definitely out of reach. When we began our search for a new home in the Asheville area, we discovered that the more affordable homes were in fact on the mountains. Perfect! In general I always have a pretty positive outlook on what’s possible, however, I was skeptical that we would ever find our dream home. As Jeannie began her Zillow browsing adventures, one particular cabin with acreage, that was outside of our budget continued to pop up. Jeannie would delete it and then it would come back. At some point the price began to drop, and drop, and drop. On our way back into town one weekend after attending a wedding, I convinced Jeannie to drive by the cabin just because we had the time. Immediately we fell in love and reached out to our realtor buddy. It was more of a shot in the dark but it couldn’t hurt, right? We held our breath for the next month totally expecting someone to get it under contract before us or the sellers not accepting our offer. It had already been reduced significantly so we knew our chances of a lowball offer were slim. We offered the most that we could get a loan for. They accepted! I still get anxious thinking back to that month, October 2014. Many years and two children later, here we are, just as excited everyday to make the long trek up our mountain as we were that August of 2014, and now we are happy to offer a similar experience to you, without having to buy the place. Peace and privacy await you on ouWe are still cler farm, pasture and woods, this working herb farm is a haven for rest and exploring. The Sites are situated far enough from each other to allow for privacy. Our land was originally where the Cherokee grew their medicine with Mt. Pisgah looking over us. Please be aware we are not completely cleared up after Hurricane Helene so we are limiting cars to 2 per site. There is parking about a mile away, or we can fit a 2 cars per site . If this is an issue please contact me to discuss. Also note we look a little different. The campsites are fine but the creek has changed its banks and the driving path moved a little. Please drive slowly on driveway and grounds. Drones are only allowed on our property and only in daylight hours and must be discussed with us prior. Our farm is Organic and we minimize the amount of chemicals used on it out of respect to the land. The creek has clean water, although we provide well water for the humans. Situated 20 minutes from Asheville and 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, we are close to civilization and far from the everyday hustle and bustle. This is a great place to unwind in nature. We will soon be adding Forest Bathing. The frogs eat most of the mosquitos and the fireflies will provide the nightly entertainment from May till August.

Site 4 is pretty secluded, which was great for bringing the pups, and Hayden was friendly and very attentive to anything that came up. The two outhouses are clean and well maintained. We truly cannot say enough good things about these hosts or this property! They welcomed me and my little family with more kindness than we’ve ever experienced traveling or even near home. I’ve been through a lot emotionally and physically, and we came hoping to heal they made us feel safe, cared for, and supported. From leaving an apple for my son when he qhickly needed some fiber, to helping with groceries and packages, to lending us a propane fire pit and giving my little one a tiny shovel, their kindness never stopped. We honestly felt like God placed us on their property for a reason. We are forever grateful. The property is immaculate with beautiful views. Even with a nearby road, it was incredibly quiet- early mornings and nights were almost ethereal, like being deep in the country. The pavilion was wonderful, and river access just steps away was perfect for skipping rocks and listening to the peaceful water. We also loved the community garden and the kind neighbors. Star gazing during the solar storm was completely amazing because of the extremely low light pollution from any cities. SHOOTING STARS GALORE! Ceaser's head was only minutes away and so was Cup & Saucer coffee shop that had amazing pumpkin spice lattes and an allergy friendly quiche! This stay was full of warmth and peace. These hosts truly feel like family to us, and because of them, we now want to move to the area. We will never forget our time here and highly, highly recommend staying with them. ❤️

Truly at the top of a mountain! Edwin communicates quickly & answered all our questions. The shelter Edwin has made is awesome, wouldn’t even need a tent if you want to sleep in there. The pit toilet is a GREAT addition. The dog cable run is a really nice too. There are multiple spots to place tents and two different spots to have a fire. We had a group of 10 people with 6 tents and still had open spots. 2 trucks & a van fit at the parking on site, the mini van struggled a bit up parts of the graveled hill drive but made it! 10/10 recommend & would love to come back.

We were right by the creek, so at night it was very soothing. Our children loved playing and throwing the ball with Ashley's dogs. Edwin’s Hipcamp was wonderful! It has a very remote feel without being too far away from a few other houses on the mountain. The road up the mountain was very windy, but the directions provided were easy to follow and we had no issues. There is a small shack at the tent site with some solar powered lights, camping supplies, and even a wooden bed you could use to get shelter from rain or wind. The views here at night of the city and stars were incredible! Would definitely camp here again if in the Asheville area. Also for anyone with dogs, there was a long lead that will give your pup room to roam at the site! We did hear some trees fall during the night as it was very windy and many other trees were already fallen. I would definitely be cautious of where you place your tent.

Beautiful location with a view of Table Rock located in the Historic Oolenoy Valley. Our property is located in Northern Pickens Co. of South Carolina. Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. For hikers or mountain bikers: Chestnut Mountain Nature Park includes trails for both interests just 10-12 minutes away from the Farm. The Berm Park is part of this wonderful network of trails. There are also a number of other trailheads within 45 minutes of the farm to include Little Sam Knob Trailhead and the Art Loeb/Cold Mountain Trailhead off of Hwy 215 (for hikers) and Hard Times Trailhead in Asheville for bikers and hikers. Take a look around before you come for other outdoor possibilities in the area to enjoy. Learn more about this land: We live in Beaverdam Community just north of the town of Canton. We adore our land and do our best to preserve and care for the natural beauty around us. At the farm, June is firefly month and late September/October is leaf-peeping season (no need to drive to see either of those!). My family desperately needed a COVID safe getaway so we decided to retreat to the woods. Cherryfield Luxury Group Camping exceeded our expectations. The shelters and grounds were prestine and the covered platforms were definately the way to go car camping. Our tents stayed neat and the covered shelter kept us dry and cozy as we watched the rain on our second night without a fly on our tent.This campsite has thought of everything. There are grills an firepits beside each platform (each platform is large enough for 3 four person tents) and there are two common shelters with electricity and GORGEOUS bathrooms. It is funny to say, but the bathrooms were nicer than many hotels we've stayed at... large tiled shower with digital temperature controls, excellent water pressure from the large rain shower head, and, as a bonus, surround shower heads for that extra special something. I have never been excited by a shower or bathroom at a campground, but I made sure to shower before leaving because the experience was so zen. There is ample lawn space to play games, set up additional tents, and spread out for privacy, even during larger group gatherings. There are grills and grill tops by each fire pit making campfire or grill cooking easy, but delicious local restaurants just 10 minutes away also offer catering style menus that makie car camping and group gatherings even easier (the local BBQ and Italian were terrific). The grounds are meticulously kept and there are sturdy bear boxes to protect food and trash to help keep unwanted visitors from troubling guests. While we enjoyed some activities away from Cherryfied, we could have easily spent the entire weekend at the campsite. Not only are the grounds spectacular, but there is an easy walking trail to a lovely moss covered waterfall just steps away from the campgroud. The sound of the waterfall can be heard from the campground. It added ambient atmosphere and lulled us to sleep each night. The hosts were terrific and offered many suggestions for take out meals and activities. My only criticism is that the weekend went by too quickly. I did not realize how much my family needed an escape of this sort until we got the Cherryfield. I recomment Cherryfield without reservation. Take good care of this special place. We cannot wait to return.
