After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. We dream big and Tellurian remains a work in progress, but we feel we have created a place where folks can enjoy the peacefulness of nature, the river and incredible views. This ride is only 22 miles from our camp. There is also The Blue Ridge Parkway and Lake James Loop that includes “The Devil’s Staircase. Make The Earth Center Camp your base. We do offer long term parking for those who have trailered their bikes here. The Earth Center offers guest the opportunity to reserved the entire ground for their private event. Weekend Trip to Corner Pine

We love staying at Corner Pine. We can pull our camper right up to the deck. We cook and enjoy hanging out. We were given firewood and some snacks for us and our pup. The surrounding area is great, whether you are looking to hike or enjoy the views. The bathrooms are always clean! We will be back.

Weekend Trip to Tellurian Family Campground

Site 1 had an unobstructed view of the open meadow that sloped down to the river that was hidden beyond the trees. This Hipcamp was a great place to relax and do nothing because of its remote location in between towns and its distance from most anything. We didn’t use the river because the rains had the water level higher than we expected and the folks immediately across the river seemed to be having some kind of substantial multi tent gathering.

There is a nice view of the mountains and it was really nice having the clean bath house to use. Very nice and quiet, and great to have the full camper hookup. I enjoyed hearing all the different species of birds.

Beautiful, well kept campsite! Easy to pull in and set up. Level and well thought out. Camp hosts were very nice and responsive. Only had a small issue and someone was there right away and very kind. Just what we needed! Peace and rest.

The views were amazing. You have everything you need for a fun weekend camping with friends or a quiet weekend with the family. Our girls had a great time playing in the river. The showers and bathrooms were clean and the campsite was very level. Our smoothest camping trip yet!

Great communication and an excellent site, and quiet. It can be tricky to get a good downhill run to the dump station, depending on where you park. If you watch the side of the hill late at night, you might see some blue fireflies down low.

We loved camping on Nate’s land! It was spacious, clean, quiet, and had everything we needed. The additional add on amenities were great. We added the hot tub, outdoor kitchen, and the WiFi. Super fun to have the access to the outdoor area. Close proximity to town and about 20 min to everything. We would definitely visit this site again!

Creekside is very easy to find and convenient when in Asheville, NC. It is about 15 minutes to downtown and Biltmore. Fast communication when we had questions. I would definitely recommend as a place to stay when coming to visit Asheville.

Weekend Trip to Tellurian Family Campground

Grateful to have found this gem! We prefer smaller campsites sites as we want to feel like we are getting away from the crowds. This site has 7 spots and although all were full this weekend, everyone that was there was quiet and respectful. It was truly a relaxing weekend! We walked the dogs to the river a few times a day (on leash) and they got to wade in the water. The First Broad River was such a peaceful place. This time of year, the swallowtail butterflies were fluttering everywhere up and down the river, making it a magical sight. The campground was very well maintained and the views were absolutely stunning. Thank you Jud, for being such an amazing host. We will be back, next time with our friends!
