1 night at Bear Hollow Reserve

Great Vibe, kinda cold last night. So glad they had a huge stack of firewood! Hike up to site was well marked and took 5 minutes. Great View, cruised by the creek in the morning, taking my fishing pole next time, should have booked this site for 2 nights. Remote but central to everything out here! Hosts were very responsive.

Easy for large rig to navigate Gorgeous view It was our first trip in our new Schoolie rig, and we had some epic travel aggravations along the way. This Hipcamp site was the one bright spot in all that. 😆 I’d like to visit again when we can use it for a base camp for hiking or kayaking. This time it’s just been us regrouping to get on the road again

Weekend Trip to Smoky Mountain Sky Camp - Cosby

My husband and I spent 2 nights here and it was the PERFECT weekend getaway! It feels very secluded. I loved that we could not see or hear the other cabins. We really felt alone in the woods. The cabin is simple and cozy. You are able to get the “unplugged, off-the-grid” feel without sacrificing convenience. It really is equipped with everything you need so don’t worry about packing a lot. We could have just brought food, a flashlight and our clothing and been just fine. The only thing that would have been nice to bring would have been an over-the fire-grate or a big cast iron pan for cooking over the fire if you would rather do that than use the stove. The little trails were also great. Don’t be deceived by the lack of mileage; the incline is pretty intense and still provides a great workout. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Country Comfort Camping

Nice little spot just up the street from the main drag in Hot Springs. Paul has set up a welcoming little retreat for a camper, including a lovely "boathouse" with bathroom, hot shower, deck overlooking the opposite mountain, and other amenities like a grill and fridge. This is just a little ways off 25/70, so you will get light road noise, but it didn't bother us. We still heard the birds chirping happily and bugs chittering as we watched the sun set.

It's a large beautiful piece of land with a really nice bath house. If I'm ever camping in this area again, this will be the first place I look

Weekend Trip to Nantahala Spiritual Retreat

We had the most peaceful and beautiful stay at this secluded spot! The area was incredibly quiet, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. The highlight of our time there was sitting by the fire, gazing up at the stars, and listening to the soothing sounds of the nearby water. It felt like the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. If you're looking for a serene and picturesque getaway, this place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend!

Fantastic spot! Only minutes to GSM Park trails. Private, cozy and just enough glamping amenities. Love the outdoor kitchenette and super comfy bed. Definitely returning for more than one night next time!! Hosts were wonderful.

Karen and Keith were wonderful! They were friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The creekside cabin was peaceful and well-maintained, and the hosts’ attention to detail made our visit even better. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Weekend Trip to Nantahala Spiritual Retreat

The tiny house was by far the best experience of my life. I'm a minimalist so it was perfect and felt like home the second i settled in. Steve and the very nice lady ( sorry I forgot her name she was soo sweet) but they were amazing and helpful throughout my stay ; such a cool personality. I enjoyed the bonfire on top of the mountain and the energy is soo amazing thank you for sharing such a positive experience. See you guys soon.

Weekend Trip to BSBC CAMP

I loved staying at this cabin! The small space was warm and cozy, with beautiful spots to hang out outside and have a fire by the little creek. The outdoor shower was great and got very warm, even for how cold it was outside. There is a very cute town not far from the cabin as well - Traveler’s Rest - that was fun to explore. Overall, loved my stay here and would absolutely recommend it :)

3 nights at BSBC CAMP

Great little cabin for a solo vacation. I felt safe on the property and had no issues with the amenities. I loved the fire pit and there was plenty of firewood on site to keep the campfire going. Very beautiful dark sky -- you are able to see lots of stars and the Milky Way from the property at night.

3 nights at CreekStone in Candler, NC

Our second trip to Louedith’s beautiful site. Gorgeous Mountain View’s! We woke up to wild turkeys roaming the frosty grass. Private, secluded well maintained property! If you love clamping but prefer not to stay in big RV parks, this is your spot close to Asheville.

This property was my childhood home and after retiring, my husband and I moved back to one of the homes on this farm where I grew up. He has since passed and my son, Todd, now helps me maintain the property and assists with ensuring the best experience for our guests. We wanted to offer this space for campers to share the awesome views and this part of North Carolina with others who enjoy nature, outdoors, and all the great things to experience in the surrounding towns. Only a 20 minute drive to Asheville where you can tour Biltmore House, Grove Park, breweries, eat at many great restaurants, enjoy rafting, zip lining and many other outdoor activities. We are 15 minutes from Blue Ridge Parkway with 2-lane, less traveled access road to get there. Bring your bikes and hiking equipment - plenty of room to ride and roam. The old red barn on property has been restored and offers relaxation loft for your enjoyment.

Motivation behind the creation of Smoky Mountain Sky Camp is to share with the public an alternative, nature-based vacation inspired by conservation with minimal impact. The treehouses are quiet, secluded, and actually border GSMNP property and Cherokee National Forest land; the Appalachian Trail at Davenport Gap is ¾ mile away. Nearby GSMNP entrances: Big Creek is 2.5 mi, Cosby at 8 miles. Only 3 to the Pigeon River whitewater section, and accessible to hundreds of miles of mountain biking and hiking roads/trails. Each treehouse was built by hand by hosts (husband/wife team) Anthony and Brenna. A long history of camping and working in the outdoor recreation industry inspired a design to intentionally interact with nature. By utilizing rain collection, solar power generation, composting toiletries, outdoor cooking, each treehouse is completely off-grid. Rest from your adventures on the comfy, queen and full-sized beds. A spacious queen bottom bunk and lofted double mattress can accommodate four adult campers. All bed linens and pillows are provided. The treehouses offer private, indoor bathing and toilet facilities. Every treehouse is equipped with a propane-heated, rain-collection shower and maintenance-free, vented composting toilet. All bath towels/washcloths, plus shampoo/wash are provided in each treehouse bathroom. You can dine al fresco in the trees! The kitchenette boasts wide concrete countertop table dining with four stools, two-burner propane cooktop, potable water and drain sink, and separate propane grill. Provided cookware includes pots, pans, cooking/grill tools and utensils, cutting board and knife. There are complete place settings for 4 glampers, plus coffee percolator and mugs (bring ground coffee.) There is no refrigerator, bring your own cooler and ice. Unique, spectacular views of nature are seen from each treehouse. Snowbird Mountain to North, Mt Sterling to East, Chestnut Mountain to West and Mt Cammerer to South.
