This serene is secluded on a mountain surrounded by trees with seasonal views. The campsite is neighboring 105 acres of beautiful conservatory land available for hiking. No true trails are available, but you can be adventurous and hike further up the mountain, arriving to a clearing, providing you with a lovely mountainous view. From the mountain, you can hike to a waterfall or even hike across a lovely plain field surrounded by mountain ranges on both sides and crossing the creek over to Historic Stone houses in Hurley. Within a 10 minute drive check out some of the local restaurants like Alebrijes, Hickory BBQ & Smokehouse, and the Hurley Inn where the movie “Tootsie” was filmed!. Hurley Marbletown Trailhead and Rail trail parking are only a 6 minute drive away! The town of Kingston is about 15 minutes from our site where you will find Bluestone Wild Forest, antique shops, restaurants, other outdoor activities!
The nights are just spectacular as you look into the sky surrounded by a blanket of stars, able to see the many constellations looking like jewels on a black cloth. The sounds of nature and all of it's distinct calls including that of eagles, is truly an experience. And we cannot forget our other friendly neighbors, the wild turkeys and deer! We are very appreciative of this beauty and would love to share this sacred place with you.

It is quiet, private and relaxing. The vibe of the lake is to chill and relax, laud activities not encourage. No motorboats allowed on lake for a more relaxing experienced. Bass fishing is amazing and the water is perfect for swimming.
Next to the campsite you will have a nice fire pit with Adirondack chairs, plenty of firewood for sale at a low cost.
Dogs allowed, maximum party of 4. Water, sewer and electrical hookups. Wi-Fi its free. No bathrooms or showers in the premises.

Our homestead, in cooperation with hipcamp, would like to offer our handicapped accessible site, parking and rustic wagon for any family that has a handicapped child that would like to have the full experience our homestead has to offer with interaction with our animals, camping and campfires, the campsite is large enough for a handicapped accessible van as well as a pull behind popup trailer or a 26' low profile r.v. the rustic wagon will accommodate smaller children or those that could crawl onto a queen size bed.
We have lots of very lovable goats that love interacting with people, 7 babies......plus pigs and chickens, and our homestead is deep in the woods.....full reimbursement i.e. free of charge.

We are nestled on a private road on top of a hill backed up to 2100 acres of New York Gaundry Hill State Forest. There's waterways with active Beaver ponds between our properties. We do have bear and a mountain lion up here.
We are 420 friendly!
Sites are on top of the hill in a very secluded spot with a small campfire.
We offer organic vegetables from the garden and work almost everyday in our blacksmith/woodworking shop.
For a nice experience for adventurous families, you are welcome to accompany us on our herding of our goats/milking, collect eggs for your own breakfast.
We offer a unique place to unwind. Conveniently located near Watkins Glenn, Corning, Bath, and Penn Yan. Perfect get away and an inexpensive alternative to the hotels when you go to the races, lakes, wine tours, museums or many other great attractions around our area. We stayed in a 26' trailer, and the hookups were excellent. If you have dogs with good recall, this is the perfect place. Being able to let them off leash was so appreciated. The lake was beautiful and crystal clear. Our dogs loved swimming, and we enjoyed paddle boarding. Next time we’ll come earlier in the season so we have more daylight to enjoy everything. This spot exactly as described. Very private but everything here and well laid out. The walk to the lake is a bit steep but 110% worth it if you like to fish or be by water. We caught at least a dozen largemouth bass, several 10-12 inches, a yellow perch and several large pumpkinseeds. RV Site is gravel and damn near perfectly level. Couldn’t ask for much better, appreciate Roberto and his family are willing to to share this very nice location, A+ Hipcamp!

Wood springs was beautiful rustic camping. Honestly everything I was looking for. Brought my 6yo, 4yo and 6month old so I’m always struggling to find more rustic sites that are still easily accessible and this perfectly fit the bill. They reached out on their own to let me know that there was another site that was shadier and offered us to go there which was so thoughtful. When we arrived i was a little nervous about how many tents were there- though they’re all very spaced out and private (my kids just don’t sleep so I always worry we will keep others awake), but we only saw 3 people actually there- on a Friday night. So it was very quiet and peaceful. We ended up staying just on the other side of the creek- howick bend? I think it was called. And it was perfect for our 10 person tent, my mini van and room to play. The pond was nicer than I expected on the “beach” side- they clearly take care of it and it’s sandy- there were kayaks and even some life jackets there we could use. We didn’t venture around too much but stroller walking was easy and creek walking was perfect for the kids and me baby wearing. The outhouses seemed nicely dispersed and we were right by one and there wasn’t any smell and they were very well kept. Two of the people we saw talked to us and told us they were members and were happy to help if we needed anything.

The spot for camping was nice and the host was very accommodating to allow my teardrop camper. The ground is soft for a tent, but you have to choose your location we’ll. because there are rocks underneathThe host answered my questions through the app which I wasn’t used to (first time hip camper) but it all worked out. Plenty of good firewood, but it was kind of pricey. All in all a great experience and place to stay. Btw- neighbors have a rooster:)

We loved the privacy. There is a road near the camp where we heard a lot of ATV's the first couple of days, but we didn't see anyone else the entire time. The lake is lovely. My dog absolutely loved it. We took her down everyday & each time she gave us a hard time leaving. It's an easy walk down, but a hike back up, although a short lived one. There are other houses around the lake with their own docks. The use of the dock was great. We didn't bring our kayaks because we saw from earlier reviews that kayaks & a row boat were there, but that wasn't so on our trip. We purchased blow up lounges & floated around on those & felt like kids again. The camp itself was behind a vacant cabin. The fire pit was perfect, abundant firewood provided. Adirondack chairs were provided as well as a picnic table and another table. The hook ups for the camper were easy to use. We had a great time & even extended our stay by two days. The one drawback was the size of the stone used as ground cover for the majority of the hip camp, it was pretty large & cumbersome to walk on. My dog could hardly walk on it, so I laid a blanket path out for her from the camper to the fire pit. We had to wear shoes to walk on it. We tried to use a blow up mattress to sleep next to the fire pit one night & the stone made it difficult. They laid it as drainage for the rain, but smaller sized gravel would have been softer on the feet.

Roberto's secluded getaway is such a special place. So peaceful and serene. He was very responsive during our communication. The private dock with canoe was a picturesque experience. Huge fire pit with plentiful wood. I will say that the trail down to the dock is quite long. Because it rained, it was muddy. I would suggest wearing water shoes My little flip flops got stuck so I switched to hiking shoes. It was very easy to find with the instructions he provides. Definitely looking forward to going back! Thank you!

This was our first HipCamp experience, and it’s going to be hard to top.
The site was peaceful, private, and incredibly well designed. Even after a full day of heavy rain, the grounds stayed solid and usable. It was easy to access and navigate with our 21’ trailer, with plenty of room to set up and settle in.
Our dogs loved the lake, and we loved the quiet, the spacious layout, and the well-built fire pit that made for perfect evenings. Plenty of spots to relax and take in the surroundings—already looking forward to our next visit

Absolutely loved this place. If you want peaceful- you’ve found it! Our host answered all my questions so quickly and later realized that almost all of them were answered in his listing. I should have read it twice! He wasn’t there to greet us but he had the man who oversees firewood and takes care of the camp pop down as soon as we arrived. He made sure we had everything we needed and didn’t see another soul the rest of our three days!
Fishing was spectacular. I lost track of how many I caught. They averaged about 16” and were released with only their pride a bit ruffled.
My only issue was my fishing kayak was very heavy and getting it down to the water wasn’t too bad but it had rained and a tiny “stream” formed down the slope, so it getting it back up was a bear. Even with two of us. I should have just left mine on the car and used one that was down there. As another camper pointed out wear good shoes for that hill!
My sister and I had a lovely visit and hope to return in the future!

We had a wonderful time at Roberto's site. It was as pictured. Very quiet and private. The bass fishing was unbelievable. We were the only ones kayaking the lake during our stay. It is a hilly walk to water so be sure to have good footwear. Loved listening to the owls in the evening. A peaceful vacation spent connecting with nature. Site was well maintained and all hookups worked as expected.
