Underhill Inn is a small homestead located in the Finger Lakes region tucked in the rolling hills near Dryden Lake. We have a small garden, a flock of sheep and chickens, hives of honeybees and countless wild foraging on our 36 acres of pasture and hiking trails.   Take a walk down to Brockendock pond and cruise across the water in a canoe or paddleboat to find peepers, heron, toads and turtles. Drop a line in the water to catch trout, bass and sunnies. The chicken coop is always bustling and there are plenty of eggs to harvest each day. A morning hike on the trails usually kicks up the deer and wild turkeys and at night the barn owl will sing for you if you listen close. Adults and children are welcome to pet and feed the animals on the farm. There are farm tours available where you can learn more about our mushroom garden, composting techniques, blueberries, felting, and more.

Laughing Goat Fiber Farm is a working farm, raising exotic fiber animals such as Angora and Cashmere goats, alpacas. The fiber is processed on farm and regionally and everything made from it is hand dyed. Many items are one of a kind and hand made. A small retail shop in our renovated Carriage House showcases the knitting looms that we make items on, as well as knitting machines from 100 years ago. If you've never heard of this ADORABLE breed of sheep, you absolutely MUST. GOOGLE. THEM... and like so many others, you will fall in love just like we did - so much so that we became part of the official breed-up program to bring this wonderful breed to the U.S.! (You're welcome!) :) We currently have 10 wonderful Valais Blacknose sheep and lambs! We also have 3 adult Nigerian Dwarf goats, 4 baby goats, the sweetest miniature donkey you'll ever meet, named "Walther," and a shy mini horse named "Harry Houdini!" :) All of our animals have free-range of our property during the day, but are penned up at night to keep them safe. *** IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We strongly recommend bringing ear buds/plugs to block out the barking of our LGDs (livestock guardian dogs) through the night. They're just doing their job, but if you're not used to it, you may not sleep very well, so please bring ear buds or plugs! They absolutely love people, so they may get curious and try to come hang out with you in your tent! Because of this, we can provide you with a spray water bottle to keep them away from your tent. It's an unharmful way to keep them at bay, so please let us know if you'd like to have it on hand during your stay. Additionally, we strongly recommend bringing boots for walking around on the farm, as well as clothing you don't mind getting dirty. Especially in rainy weather, the grounds can get very muddy, and beware of animals who sometimes jump when greeting guests! Please do not hesitate to scold any of the animals should they jump on you! They are sometimes overly friendly and need to be reminded to mind their manners! *** Come pitch your tent (or rent one of ours, subject to availability!) on the grass or on the wooden deck near the edge of our pond, or walk our beautiful 19 grassy and wooded acres to find your favorite spot to set up camp. During your stay, feel free to explore our property, do some fishing (bring your own gear!) or just relax by the pond, get to know our friendly animals, take a snooze in our hammock (coming soon!), feed the chickens, turkeys and ducks, pet our loving LGDs, pose for professional pictures while snuggling with our sheep, goats, mini donkey and mini horse, make your own pizza in our DIY outdoor brick oven stove, (coming soon!) then start a campfire and enjoy s'mores, before settling in for a cozy night under the stars!

My boyfriend and I loved tent camping on this land! Lisa was very try accommodating and accepted our request in short notice. Site #2 was beautiful both during the day and at night. It was well maintained and the portable bathroom was clean. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to staying again in the future.

We had such a wonderful experience at this pondside campsite! The whole area is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, with stunning views that made the trip so relaxing and refreshing. We couldn't have asked for a better nights stay at the farm. Rick and his family welcomed us with open arms to their amazing property, and it made for an awesome experience. The whole farm is beautiful, and the sites are separated out to make it feel like you have the whole place to yourself. Our site was stocked with firewood and any accommodation we needed was steps away. The trails cleared out on the farm were perfect to walk along, and having the paddle-boat to use on the pond was awesome. We'd absolutely recommend a stay here. We wished ours was for more than just the night.

We recommend Laughing Goat! The only downside for us was no time to really enjoy the space. We arrived at dusk and we were off by 8:00a the next morning for a special tour at Cornell Lab’s Sapsucker Woods with some expert birders. We are not experts but highly recommend a visit to Sapsucker Woods. Now back to Laughing Goat where our space was level and our little 20ft., Class B fit easily. Water, fire ring, wood and an exceptionally clean toilet provided everything we needed. The night sounds soothe the soul and waking up to munching goats was fun! Wish we’d had more time to meet the hosts and explore the farm. Thanks for clearing driving instructions also!

Beautiful camp, recommend! Was here with our kids, had a wonderful time!!! Beautiful spot with good privacy, firepit, table, and (simple) glamping tent really fun pond with canoe, paddle boat, and swing kept the kids super happy great location near ithaca and beautiful surroundings convenient outhouse only possible downsides (none of these were issues for us, but worth noting) - keep in mind - shower is cold and not quite private so its ideal for hosing down after a dip and not real bathing - some road noise from nearby highway - not terrible at all, but noticeable - there are some other sites including a group site - which if fully booked might cause some noise

Wonderful time. Tiny house met all of our needs of us two parents and two teenagers. Very clean. Canoeing on the small pond was nice. Picking blueberries was wonderful. Plenty of room to yourself between tiny house and the other places they rent out. And plenty of parking. Easy to get to the main road.

Great spot! We watched the full moon rise over the trees and it was amazing. The campsite had everything we needed. We had shade on the platform by about 2pm. Make sure you take the tour!!! Lisa is so lovely and we really enjoyed meeting all the animals. Oh… and very clean porta potty!
