We are also in a very popular area to the Amish. They are great neighbors and we are sure you will see them pass by regularly with their horse and buggy. Please be patient with us. We have one other listing on the land so there may be times you do see other guests. We have a home under construction on the property so we also may be there at times. This site gives you a quiet wooded area to camp for the night or two with a porta potty for luxury camping. This site allows you to have a quiet place to camp without a lot of people and kid free. Most campgrounds have children but Stars and Sage does not allow children. Please feel free to bring your own camping needs as we only provide a fire area. The site is approximately 19 feet by 39 feet in dimension. You will be close to Mexico village and about 20 minutes from the city of Oswego. Plenty of biking areas all around . Enjoy a hike in the trail or take a short trip to Mexico point to put your Canoe or kayaks in to enjoy Lake Ontario. Lake Ontario is well known for fishing. There is lots to explore/see/do in the Ithaca area if you decide to come down off the hill one of the days. Weekend Trip to Round Top Retreat

I spent the weekend at Round Top Retreat alone to unplug, relax, and recharge and it was exactly what I needed. The wood burning stoves did an excellent job at heating the cabin. It got below 40° at night but it was probably 60° inside with the fire going. The stove is also great for cooking. It was a little rainy during my trip so I did all my cooking indoors. The driveway continues uphill past the cabin and turns into a hiking trail. I think it's supposed to connect to the Robinsons Hollow State Forest Trail but I couldn't find it (the official trial head is just down the road). It was still an invigorating 2 mile walk. I spotted lots of birds and a couple deer.

We loved this little cabin! All I wanted for my birthday was a couple days in the woods, and this place was exactly what I needed. You can hear the water from the stream as you fall asleep at night, and the cabin was nice and cozy during a rainy afternoon. This was the perfect place to unplug, sit by the fire, and recharge. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Round Top Retreat

Perfect getaway for myself and my two poodles. My only regret is that I only booked one night. We will be back for sure, hopefully this year if there are weekends still available. The cabin is incredibly charming and it smells so good! Not sure what I expected, maybe earthy, musty smell? It felt like home. I am not necessarily a hardy, “rugged” girl and I felt the accommodations were perfect. The sleeping loft is so beautiful with the sky lights and the large back porch is wonderful for early morning coffee while feeling immersed in nature. My dogs and I hiked through the goldenrod fields approximately one mile up the hill- great little workout for me. We went into the forest as well, found really beautiful moss-covered trees and stumps. My standard poodle is a swim-a-holic and spent more of her time retrieving from the pond and practicing her dock-diving distance. Surprisingly, I had great cell phone service everywhere I went on the property. Overall, stunning place with the warmest, most welcoming host, Nancy, and we cannot wait to be back there!!

Weekend Trip to Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake

We stayed in The Loon cabin. It was super cute and nice. Simple necessities with all bases covered. The property was so large and had shoreline and wooded and field walking so we never even needed to leave to walk the dogs. We came AFTER kids camp season and we will be back! Only a half hour drive to CMAC! Bryan was easy to reach and quick to respond.

Weekend Trip to Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake

The Heron cabin was great. Each of the 3 bedrooms had a heater and fan. The common area got chilly overnight but the bedroom stayed comfortable with the door closed. The grounds were great and our dog loved exploring. The views of the lake were spectacular and it was so peaceful sitting out on the dock. We already can’t wait to go back and take advantage of the pool, and use a kayak or canoe. One thing to note is there is no outside lock on the cabin, though we totally felt our belongings were safe when we left during the day.

Weekend Trip to Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake

First time I ever been there and loved it there. Clean and people there are friendly.. It's a clean nice campground. Bryan is an awesome guy very helpful with whatever I needed.. If you haven't been there you are missing out big time

The covered porch, chairs, firepit and picnic table are all just a few steps away from the cabin.

I love staying at camp Whitman. It was so quiet, peaceful, and green. Being right on Lake Seneca was unbeatable. Gorgeous! I had to do some remote work and my cabin had great WiFi signal!

Bryan was incredibly kind, accommodating, and responsive. We rented the Hawk for 2 nights and it was perfect for our family of 4. The screened in porch is great for eating meals and playing cards. We enjoyed canoeing on the lake, and fishing on the pond. They have a very nice dock with Adirondack chairs to enjoy the lake- about 5 minutes from the cabin. They do have a pool, but it was too chilly for us to use it. No need to bring a grill or camping chairs. They have benches outside around the campfire. Also included was hand soap, dish soap, tissue, paper towels, grilling tools, microwave, toaster oven, decent sized fridge with freezer, and a fan. It has a nice rustic feel with the comforts of running water/toilet/shower. We would definitely come back!

Weekend Trip to Round Top Retreat

Had an enjoyable 3 nights here while in the area for the Cup Series race at Watkins Glen Intl. Definitely private. It's all yours to the top of the hill and there's a good buffer of forest between the cabin and the surrounding roads. The description and other reviews here are accurate. This is not glamping. It's camping, but with the convenience of solid walls, a roof over your head, and a wood stove for warmth. At least in early August, there were no biting bugs and minimal swarming bugs. Nothing a mosquito coil or Thermacell can't handle. It was cool in the shade even when the forecast was in the low 90's, but it does get hot in the cabin even with all the windows open. The solar shower is fun since you have little choice but to be naked out on the porch!

1 night at Sunswick Farm

This adorable cedar cabin was absolutely perfect. The woods are beautiful and the trails go on and on. The cabin is completely secluded (no view of any people, homes, etc) and with everything you need for a comfortable stay! The host even gave us a free little jar of fresh raw honey from the farm they'd harvested that week!
