2 nights at Camp Forever

We recently had a great time at the Tamarack Tent site. This was my 2nd time camping on the property, and our group thoroughly enjoyed it again. There was plenty of deadwood for us to collect and burn to keep our fire going, and the fire pit, screen house, and general campsite area were all clean and prepared for our arrival. We enjoyed many great campfire meals, hiking nearby, and relaxing on the property. At night, the sky was incredibly clear, which made for great star viewing! We also enjoyed seeing the fall foliage of the surrounding landscape. It's a beautiful area. We plan to visit again next year!

This campsite was amazing! We wanted the pond site originally but so happy we went with Knotty Pines. It has everything you want to have when camping. Big pines, view of the stars, and a big fireplace. Not to mention a swing set, picnic tables, and plenty of space. This campsite was BIG! Our host Cara was by far the kindest host we have ever had on our hipcamps. She was so welcoming and down to earth. She’s committed to make sure your experience a good one. Could not have been happier with this site. We absolutely loved it!

Weekend Trip to Adirondack Adventure Base

Woodland Grove Camping at Adirondack Adventure Base is such a gem. The property is calm, pristine, and full of charm with cute little trails to wander right on-site. It feels like a perfect mix of peaceful and fun. Bob and Sheila are the kindest, most thoughtful hosts, and it was such a treat getting to spend time with them. Mim is just the coolest human being ever and made the stay even more special. We also got to try their maple syrup, which truly was the best we’ve ever had. The spot is also in an ideal location, just a short drive to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, and some of the most beautiful hiking and sightseeing in the Adirondacks. We left already talking about when we’ll come back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable Adirondack stay.

I was in the Potsdam area for several days and found this gem on hipcamp. The site is at the corner of a huge hayfield. No other people in sight, although some deer did wander across the far edge of the field one evening. I went over and met the sheep and cows. That is definitely an add on to consider for this site. Coffee at Park Bagels in Canton is super convenient, and if you are in a rush, there is a Tim Horton's nearby.

Knotty Pines was such a lovely secluded spot. Cara and her sweet dog Jack welcomed me upon arrival. She gave me all the details on the site and surrounding area. I arranged to have firewood ahead if time through the Hipcamp site, and everything was ready when I got; Cara even covered it to protect it from a possible thunderstorm. Super site, next time I'll stay for more than one night.

Wonderful place to stay. Quiet and peaceful. Peggy gave us a tour of the farm. Trail walks along the pasture fences with horses coming up to us. Lots of shade and some sun. Close to towns but in the country. Hosts were great. Came to meet us and were very helpful.

We absolutely loved camping in Knotty Pines! The site, while on the property they live on, was very secluded and peaceful. Lots of birds chirping and plenty of good hammock trees made for a very relaxing time there. The site was very roomie and had one of the best fire set ups I’ve seen at any campsite: a place to keep logs off the ground and covered with a tarp plus a huge brick fire pit. The location was central to many of the hikes we wanted to do in the area and is only about 15 minutes from any shopping needs you may have. Only thing to note is that the coyote population is high in the area and we heard them howling and barking nearby a couple nights. That is to be expected anywhere in this area and didn’t bother us much, but if you have small animals you camp with, make sure you keep them nearby and have space for them in your tent or camper.

I absolutely loved camping on Luis’s land! The views were stunning, and the directions made everything easy to find. The cabin was charming, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing getaway.
