We have four yurts nestled on a knoll among maples, beeches, balsam, and other trees. They each are positioned for a sense of privacy from the others and have little paths connecting them. They all are well loved and humble, beautiful, light filled circular spaces with a round dome skylight, lattice siding, windows with screens for summer use and in winter extra insulation provided by window quilts. Each yurt has a wood stove for colder weather. The yurts are furnished simply with various configurations of single and double beds, tables, chairs, shelving, and sheepskins or other floor rugs. At night a few of the paths are lit with solar lamps, so it is wise to bring a flashlight/headlamp as well. Beeswax candles provide inside night lighting. Some of the yurts have string, solar lights around the inside of the yurt walls. We have 5 bell tents that are lovely, roundish shaped tents with a peak. Four of them are smaller, one-person tents, and one is larger for a couple or 2 people. We provide amattress and pillow with organic bedding and a sheepskin rug, and a simple storage crate/table. It’s a good idea to bring a sleeping bag for extra warmth, especially in the potentially colder shoulder seasons in May and in September. If you have a tent, insulated ground mat, and sleeping gear, we have many inspiring sites in the surrounding forest glades, meadows, and fields. Those who choose to camp have access to outdoor composting toilets, a hot water outside faucet for bucket bathing, and outdoor shower available in the warmer seasons. Camping requires a certain hardiness and adequate gear. Weather during the growing season (May – October) in the mountains of Vermont is unpredictable. Temperatures range from freezing temperatures at night in the spring and fall to gloriously warm days and even hot days.

Beautiful 140 acre farm located on scenic dirt road. Comfy camper with a deck on a hill overlooking pastures and a spectacular wooded mountainside with trails on private property. Happy cows and sheep in the pastures. Beautiful swimming pond with a dock. Camper has 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with bunk beds. All bedding and linens are provided. There is a shower and bathroom and a nice galley with a good assortment of cookware. Laundry facilities are available for no charge. We have excellent high speed internet throughout the property! Well behaved dogs are welcome! We are minutes from Wallingford Village by car. AT throughhikers take note, we are within easy 6 minute walking distance of the Little Rock Pond trailhead, making a this a great place to walk in for rest and re-provision. Rides to the grocery store and for other errands can be arranged with your host. Vermont summer festival goers, we are minutes from the HITS/Summer Festival Site. Available for an extra charge is an adjacent tent site for bigger groups who can use the camper and a tent together for extra sleeping space. This was built as a personal vacation retreat and we gladly share it now with adventurers and romantics! 40 Private Acres - Fire-pits, comfortable outdoor furniture, and plenty of room to roam will make this unique stay memorable, relaxing, with absolute privacy with stunning views. The bespoke wooden Tower boasts 360 degree views of the surroundings. It is built on piers and has windows on the perimeter. A large table, outdoor chairs on the 2nd Level platform is an ideal space for gathering or picnicking. The 3rd enclosed level is furnished with a built in brand new queen bed and long custom built-in couch with a bar table and 4 chairs. Small fridge and Fan on site. No Bathroom in Tower. The Cabin is fully equipped, applianced, and is furnished with a Full Bed in the Loft, 2 Twins in a Trundle Daybed, and a Cot and Blow Up are available. Full Kitchen, Shower, Toilet in the Bathroom. There is electric heat, AC and a ceiling fan. Kitchen is fully loaded and there are plenty of clean linens, blankets, and pillows. Our cozy yurt is located within minutes of amazing hiking, biking, breweries and much more! Sit around the campfire while listening to our resident owls or stare up at the stars through the dome. Our yurt has a loft where you can climb the ladder to a queen-sized bed. Or you can sleep on the full-sized futon on the main floor. We closed in half of the area under the loft for the bathroom, including a flush toilet, sink and shower. Please note there is a folding privacy screen but no door to the bathroom. The yurt has a small kitchen with a small refrigerator, toaster oven, coffeemaker, double cooktop, sink, pots, pans dishware and silverware. In colder weather the space is heated with a Rinai propane heater. The whole yurt is yours to use as well as the associated porch/outdoor space and firepit. Wood-fired sauna (Available November - April if we're around during your stay. Please let us know if you're interested when you book and then coordinate timing when you arrive. No guarantees however...) Did I mention that our property abuts the 4,000 acre Bristol Cliffs Wilderness Area? Notch Brook and the New Haven River, which are just down the road from us, provide ample fishing and swimming opportunities. Are you interested in sampling Vermont’s famous brews, wines and spirits? We’re 5 minutes from the Bobcat Cafe and 15 minutes from Middlebury where you’ll find Otter Creek Brewery, Lincoln Peak Vineyard and other breweries and distilleries. Are you curious about how maple syrup is made? We’d be happy to give you a tour of our 750 tap sugaring operation and samples of our syrup, candy and other maple confections. Please note that the Yurt is about seventy five feet from our house on a working tree farm in a rural - residential neighborhood. We are generally very quiet and you will have all the privacy you desire. We do have a young daughter that likes to play outside in our yard, we do occasionally run tools and equipment and there is occasional road noise. If you are looking for a true wilderness type experience away from it all, this likely isn't the best option for you.

The cabin is in a natural setting. The amenities in the cabin and outdoors made for a flexible but relaxing stay. The surrounding towns were easily accessible for shopping and exploring. Weekend Trip to Riverfront Ritz Campsite

I strongly recommend staying at this beautiful camp site, Rita is absolutely amazing we had great time, watching the stars at night was very nice and relaxing. Lake George is near by for great times and views. I’d recommend bringing at AWD car or suv/truck. RITA is the best host ever anything you need she will respond and give right away. We will definitely come back in the summer.

My husband and I LOVED our two-night stay in the bed-in-the-shed this past weekend. We've been up to Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center to do some gravel riding before and knew what to expect as far as amenities go. We were super pleased to have such a lovely, quiet and peaceful place to rest our heads. Shari was kind in her welcome and super communicative before and throughout our stay. We'll be making this a regular camping spot when we're in Vermont for sure!

Such an amazing weekend! Spectacular views, kayaking down the river, glamping at its finest with literally everything you need. Seriously, bring bedding, food, a good book, and a power bank and you are set. Rita is such a lovely and thoughtful host. We will definitely be back. Very limited service with Verizon which personally I loved to be able to escape for a weekend. We've been fortunate to stay at a lot of cool hipcamps and airbnbs/vrbos but this is one for the books 😊

Rita was an amazing host and the camping area was awesome! She was super friendly and walked us through how to use everything right when we got there. We loved being secluded on the water and spent a lot of time kayaking on the River. She really has thought about everything you could want in a glamping situation and it was more stocked than any other hip camp we’ve stayed in. We also had our two dogs who were able to be off leash and they had a blast! We would highly suggest this to anybody looking for a great experience

Paige and I had a wonderful time at Scott’s site! The views were incredible, beautiful sunrises and sunsets were had. The site itself had a lot of great amenities and was well maintained. Scott was a phenomenal host who quickly answered any of the questions we had and gave us plenty of privacy. Plenty of great trails to hike around just a short drive away. Would highly recommend having a larger vehicle like an SUV to get to the site and navigate the terrain. I drive a Toyota rav4 and got around just fine. Would definitely recommend this site, we had a phenomenal time.

Our family of six had the most amazing time camping at the Black Hole and Dunkley Falls campsite. The tents and accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and far exceeded our expectations. The Fords went above and beyond to make our stay special—bringing us warm water for showers and even surprising me with cupcakes for my birthday. They truly think of everything, making it a completely carefree glamping experience. We loved exploring Dunkley Falls and jumping into the Black Hole, both just a short walk from camp. We also spent a day whitewater rafting and tackling the Adirondack Extreme Adventure Park—there’s so much to do in the area! We can’t wait to come

Weekend Trip to BlueberryHill Field Camp

This is a gorgeous spot, situated on a private piece of land, surrounded by old apple trees, and wildflowers. The shed has everything you need, a comfortable bed and a roof over your head. Added extras of wood, and coffee in the morning were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend,the bed in the shed. It is part of a compound with other accommodation options, including an Inn and camping. We had a delicious dinner at the Inn one evening. Very easy to find, and central to lots of interesting walks, rivers, and waterfalls.
