The cabin is walking distance to the lake and two area restaurants and taverns. Big Moose Lake is 4 miles long and a mile wide at it's widest point. Enjoy canoeing, kayaking, hiking, water-skiing, and swimming in the warmer months, or snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing in the winter. There are trout and bass in the lake if fishing is something you'd like to do.

You don't have to be an interpretive dancer (though it's probably recommended) to understand the helpful interpretive signs that describe the six distinct habitats through which the Beaver Pond Nature Trail passes at Higley Flow State Park. Despite the otherwise heavily-wooded and hilly terrain, there is a sandy beach for swimming and plenty of leveled campsites so you won't roll your own little dam down stream. Take advantage of the many amenities this camp has to offer, even for winter visitors (ice fishing, anyone?), but be aware that they do allow hunting during certain peak seasons so be sure to check the calendar and throw the oranges in tow!

the site had everything we needed! It wasn't exactly as pictured but none the less, we enjoyed the solitude, time admiring the horses, taking in the fall foliage on trail walks - we had fun. The owner was very nice, and was there to welcome us.

Wonderful place to stay. Quiet and peaceful. Peggy gave us a tour of the farm. Trail walks along the pasture fences with horses coming up to us. Lots of shade and some sun. Close to towns but in the country. Hosts were great. Came to meet us and were very helpful.
