If you fish, Lakeside provides wonderful fishing. The lake includes bass, sunnies, bluegills, catfish, and perch. We have a license for the lake so you do not need an NYS license.

Underhill Inn is a small homestead located in the Finger Lakes region tucked in the rolling hills near Dryden Lake. We have a small garden, a flock of sheep and chickens, hives of honeybees and countless wild foraging on our 36 acres of pasture and hiking trails. Take a walk down to Brockendock pond and cruise across the water in a canoe or paddleboat to find peepers, heron, toads and turtles. Drop a line in the water to catch trout, bass and sunnies. We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help.
We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths
If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Minglewood Camp is a place we built so people could escape from the hustle of our busy lives and find some peace in nature.
The cabin was built with respect for the environment. We constructed it with locally harvested and milled lumber and approached the build with minimal impact on the surrounding forest. The cabin is off grid and uses a small solar panel which charges a battery for the water heater and a light. We utilize rain water for the shower and sink which collects in a large tank. The bathroom functions with simple composting toilet. (Woodchips in a bucket)
The property is situated beside a creek and 90 acres of hardwood forest which campers are welcome to explore.
the cabin is hidden about 3/4 of a mile off the road behind a small mobile home park and is completely secluded and campers will have total privacy.

Nestled in the foothills of the New York Catskills 150 miles Northwest of New York City is a place called Paradise Falls. It was named many years ago and as soon as you arrive you will see why the name was chosen. It has been in our family for almost 100 years. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you.
The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes.
Over thousands of years and a few hundred year floods nature has made this wonderful cave-like formation under and behind the waterfall. The flat rock is a great place to picnic and enjoy the tranquility of the water. The trees surrounding the area make a fitting canopy for this unique campsite.
The mountain behind is great for climbing and a short walk down the creek will get you to the base of Jensons Ledges. The ledges are a steep hike up a mountain to a spectacular vista. Definitely worth the time and effort it takes to get there.

We stayed at Red House Camp for the weekend with the grandkids. The kids loved exploring the trails and visiting the animals. Ike was very responsive and helpful with my questions before hand. Dave was there to guide us to the tiny house and checked the fuel in the generator multiple times a day. He provided guidance about visiting the animals and exploring the farm. He was so available to purchase some farm fresh meat. The tiny house was quite comfortable. They allowed us to bring our camper and park next to the house as our kids stayed in the house. The views were beautiful with the moon settling in at night and the sunrise with the fog rolling in and out in the morning. Highly recommend.

This is our 3rd stay at Minglewood and it never disappoints. The cabin is always clean, cozy and warm with the wood stove. Ithaca, Watkins Glen and Taughannock State Park are all a short drive away. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Paradise Falls
Randall’s site is truly paradise. It’s located in a very private area with gorgeous waterfalls and shallow pools to wade in. The site had tons of amenities including a running sink and shower. There was a large igloo container of drinking water, bbq grill and a heater in the tent as well. We opted to rent bedding and were plenty warm with the blankets provided but were also given sleeping bags in case it was too cold. The heater kept us nice and cozy. Randy was easy to communicate with and responded in a reasonable amount of time. He even contacted me before we left to see what time we would arrive. We ended up getting there pretty late (9:30pm) and he even met us on the main road to lead us to the tent site and show us around. When we got there, a fire was already started in the fire pit. We had the best time and will definitely be back with the rest of our family! Thanks so much for your hospitality Randy!

The cabin was a lovely retreat and had all the essentials and more needed for the two of us and our pup. Highly recommend the walk to the park waterfall. Also nice added touches to have a good space heater and corn hole set up available. Very easy to access Watkins Glen and nearby parks.

Weekend Trip to Red House Ranch Camp
We had a lovely stay at the tiny house on Red House Ranch, we did not want to leave. Ike and Dave made sure we had everything we needed and the cabin amenities were plenty. Outhouse was clean and the shower was hot, temperature in the tiny house was optimal. There were plenty of outdoor chairs and firewood for our stay, the complimentary eggs were delicious and so were the meats that we purchased from their store. Could recommend this stay enough, especially if you like having morning coffee with the cows.

Weekend Trip to Lakeside Campground
I really enjoyed this place. It is very peaceful and clean, perfect for resting and disconnecting. The surroundings are beautiful: watching the sunrise over the lake, the sunsets, and the bonfires at night made the experience unforgettable. The nature around brings peace and energy, ideal for relaxing and reconnecting.
The hosts were very attentive and always available for anything I needed. You can feel the care and dedication they put into maintaining the place, which makes you feel welcome from the very first moment.
Overall, it was an excellent experience and I definitely recommend it. It’s a place I would love to return to.

What a great cabin! The inside had a wonderful hygge feel, and the wood stove is legit. Loved that the kitchen was outdoors, too. The best aspects were being able to let our dogs roam and explore as it was so peaceful and remote, yet a quick drive to our favorite FLX spots. Couldn't recommend Minglewood more highly!

The cabin we stayed in is situated in a walnut grove beside a bubbly stream. On the last day, we checked out the waterfall at the end of the drive. Wow! Next time maybe I will forgo the cabin so I can sleep beside the tranquil sounds of the waterfall.

Weekend Trip to Paradise Falls
The directions and check in went well and Randall met us at the site to welcome us and provide extra info on how some things worked. This site is beautiful and feels very secluded. The waterfalls are just a walk away from the campsite and made for the perfect sound to fall asleep to. We loved having zero cell service so we could truly unwind and forget about the outside world for a bit. The grill wasn’t really working (think the propane was low or out) but we made do with the grate over the fire pit with a pan we brought from home. Randall had a lot of things that helped us feel at home, like basic supplies, toilet paper, loo bags, and an oven mitt to help with the hot fire pit grate. The water was freezing this time of year but it was very refreshing. The bed was comfortable, the tent was well maintained, and we felt very safe at the site. Our favorite part was watching our dog frolic in the water while we drank our coffee and hung out by the fire down at the waterfall. It felt like 2 sites in one! I had a lot of fun bird watching and we saw some toads, but not much other wildlife was around or came near. This site is really special and I highly recommend booking it!

1 night at Waterfall Creek
We were lucky enough to have the whole space to ourselves, although the campsites are well spread out and definitely offer privacy. The cabin was beautiful, very clean, all of the amenities offered were there, and more. The creek was great to listen to until the sun went down, then two owl’s echoing through the darkness kept us company.
The waterfall was just stunning. I’m glad some places are kept private and wild. Ken was very kind, and my goodness does he have a gorgeous property!!!
I’ll be back to camp next to the waterfall no doubt!

Beautiful peaceful woods, cabin was amazing! My family already misses it. I LOVE the outdoor kitchen. That was my favorite part of the cabin. It rained so with the covered porch it was no big deal with cooking our meals. But also....what is more peaceful than listening to a good thunderstorm while you drift off to sleep? Love this place and Emma was super awesome as a host! Will make a trip back to this place in the future!
